The checklist of liverworts of the Svalbard archipelago contains all published data on the occurrence of liverworts in the Svalbard archipelago. The list includes 105 species, five more reported species that only doubtfully occur there, and 51 species previously listed for the archipelago that are excluded from Svalbard. In addition, the locations of 67 species new to different regions of the archipelago are reported. Two species, Neoorthocaulis hyperboreus and Riccardia chamedryfolia , are listed as new to the archipelago. Two old names are typified and synonymized with taxa common on Svalbard. lycopodioides var. obliqua Many, es-pecially older, reports to Barbilophozia hatcheri not of any confirmed Svalbard although several specimens in TRH is named Barbilophozia lycopodioides , but they in need of revision. Specimens in TRH that we have seen seem to deviate morphologically from what is found in boreal and alpine areas of Scandinavia. Further studies are needed to clarify the taxonomic status of these specimens.

The annotated list of liverworts collected by the expedition to Southern Alaska in 1992 counts 113 species and one subspecies, including Cephalozia hamatiloba and Nardia pacifica new to Alaska. Scapania obscura is reported for Alaska with reference to the specimen for the first time. The data on the flora of the three studied boroughs were significantly expanded to include 59 species new to Matanuska-Susitna, 51 species new to Anchorage and 20 species new to Kenai. New localities for numerous phytogeographic interesting and/or poorly known species are reported. The distribution of species recently described from Alaska, as well as some poorly studied, mainly amphipacific species, is characterized. образец. Значительно дополнены списки известных для трех административных районов Аляски. Список района Матануска-Суситна Кенаи на 20 вида. Выявлены новые редких и малоизученных таксонов. недавно с а также амфипацифи-ческих
