BCI have ignited extensive research interest in fields such as neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and biomedical engineering, as they offer an opportunity to interact directly with the external environment brain signals. Despite the immense potential for applications, practical use of BCI still faces several challenges, including equipment cost and operational complexity. This study aims to develop a Brain-Computer Interface system based on P300 visual stimuli, utilizing a low-cost, user-friendly portable Muse EEG equipment for data acquisition. We designed and implemented a P300 visual stimulator in a 3x3 grid pattern, acquire the user's EEG signals using the Muse EEG equipment, and classify the data using a SVM classifier, ultimately realizing control over robot movement. Offline experimental results demonstrated an accuracy of 84.1% for the classifier under offline stage, while online stage achieved a successful execution rate of 81.2%. These findings substantiate the feasibility and potential of using low-cost, portable devices like the Muse EEG equipment for BCI research, opening new avenues in the field.

Stereo Matching is one of the classical problems in computer vision for the extraction of 3D information but still controversial for accuracy and processing costs. The use of matching techniques and cost functions is crucial in the development of the disparity map. This paper presents a comparative study of six different stereo matching algorithms including Block Matching (BM), Block Matching with Dynamic Programming (BMDP), Belief Propagation (BP), Gradient Feature Matching (GF), Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) and Fixed-Window Aggregated Cost (FWAC). In addition, three cost functions, namely, Mean Squared Error (MSE), Sum of Absolute Differences (SAD), and Normalized Cross-Correlation (NCC) were utilized and compared. The stereo images used in this study were obtained from the Middlebury Stereo Datasets provided with perfect and imperfect calibrations. It was observed that the selection of matching function is quite important and also depends on the image properties. Results showed that the BP algorithm in most cases provided better results achieving accuracies over 95%. Accordingly, BP algorithm is highly recommended based on rapidity and performance and for applications with the need of detection of small details, HOG is advised.

Our paper presents robust approaches for all moving object detection processes. First of all, we propose an automatic and non-parametric method in the segmentation phase based on Delaunay triangulation applied to the image histogram. For the feature extraction phase, we proceed by the GLCM technique for textural feature extraction and the HSV histogram method for the colour feature extraction. Those features will be used as input of the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm to design a robust classification model that will be used to differentiate between moving and static objects. Thus, static objects will be considered as a part of background, and in the other hand moving objects are surrounded by a bounding box in furtherance of careful tracking.
