of presentations (OPs) (PPs) the included. and TR Index search were used to search for the full-text articles of the presentations. The type of presentation, the clinic from which it was sent, the number of authors, and the dermatological disease group, the type of the presentation published as an article, its consistency with the abstract, the journal index, the type of publication, the number of citations, the number of months until publication were evaluated. Results: The mean number of authors in the presentations was 3.64±1.88, the mean time until publication was 28.44±9.84 months. A total of 65 (19.2%) OPs and 274 (80.8%) PPs were presented. Universities were the clinics that presented the highest number of abstracts (p<0.05). A total of 57 (16.2%) abstracts were published as articles. Papulosquamous disorders were the most frequently presented disease group with 71 (20.9%) presentations. OPs were published mean 29.64±6.12 months alter and PPS were pub- lished mean 27.84±11.16 months later. The publication and citation rate of OPs were higher than that of PPs (p<0.05). OPs were more likely to be original studies and PPs were more likely to be case reports (p<0.05). Inconsistency was detected in 29 (50.8%) of the presentations that were published as articles. Inconsistency rate of PPs was found to be higher (p<0.05). Conclusion: The National Turkish Dermatology Congress is generally productive, similar quality when compared to national congresses and low quality when compared to international congresses.

ABS TRACT Objective: Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that has complex pathogenesis. The association between rosacea and in fl ammatory gastrointestinal tract disorders is a popular topic, and fecal calprotectin is a potential marker to diagnose intestinal inflammation of any cause. In this study, the aims were to determine the relationship between disease type, disease severity, and fecal calprotectin levels in patients with rosacea, and also compare the calprotectin levels between healthy controls and rosacea patients. Material and Methods: Forty-six patients with rosacea, and sex-age-matched 92 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study. Calprotectin levels of stool samples were calculated using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: Of these patients, 30 (65.2%) had ery- thematotelangiectatic type rosacea, and 16 (34.8%) had papulopustular type rosacea. There was not a statistically significant difference between the mean fecal calprotectin levels of the patient and control groups (p=0.414), whereas the mean fecal calprotectin levels of the erythematotelangiectatic type group was lower than the papulopustular type group, and this difference was significant (p<0.001). Conclusion: According to the results, the underlying patho- genesis of different types of rosacea may be different, and the papulopustular type of rosacea may be more related to gut inflammation. In addition, we think that fecal calprotectin may be useful in evaluating intestinal inflammation especially in patients with papulopustular type and severe rosacea.

Objective: Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic in March 2020. As the number of cases increased, the infection emerged as a multi-systemic disease. Respiratory, cardiac, hepatic, urinary, circulatory, gastrointestinal systems and finally skin may be the target organs of COVID-19. The aim of this study was to evaluate the cutaneous signs of COVID-19 and their effect on the patients' prognosis. Material and Methods: A total of 192 hospitalized COVID-19 cases, between May 2021 to July 2021 were included in the study. The length of stay (LoS) of the patients were recorded. Hospitalization and discharge decisions and all treatments of the patients were determined at the discretion of the treating physician according to the pandemic guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Fever, fatigue, cough, dyspnea, myalgia, anosmia, and headache were considered COVID-19 symptoms.

Objective: COVID-19 disease caused panic, fear of death, anxiety in people at the beginning of pandemic. This situation has dramatically changed people's lifestyle and daily behavior. The aim of our study was to determine the effects of changing lifestyle and daily behaviours on dermatological diseases in the first months of outbreak. Material and Methods: The diagnosis of the first patient with COVID- 19 in Turkey was established on 11 March 2020.In the same period, between 11 March and 30 April of 2020 and 2019, 454 versus 2.903 patients were admitted to the dermatology outpatient clinic and included in the study. The rates of dermatological diseases were compared. Pearson's chi-square test was used for statistical analysis. Results: Most of the patients were women (59.2 and 64.8%), and the average ages of the patients were 36.6±17.5 and 35.1±18.2 years for these time periods. Although admission to the hospital for those under 20 years of age due to curfew was decreased (16.8-10.1%), acne frequency increased (18.6- 21.1%, p=0.198). The frequency of psoriasis among papulosquamous diseases significantly increased (p=0.016). Urticaria (4.33-9.47%, p<0.001), drug eruptions (0.17-1.32%, p<0.001), and dermatitis and eczema (25.52-30.44%, p=0.025) significantly increased. The frequency of alopecia areata among hair disorders significantly increased (p=0.005). Rosacea (1.59-0.44%, p=0.05), bacterial infections (1.45- 0.44%, p=0.046), fungal infections (5.29-3.3%,p=0.042) and xerosis cutis (6.26-1.1%, p=0.025) significantly decreased. Admissions due to benign skin diseases (1.38-0%, p=0.012) significantly decreased. Conclusion: We consider that this study will contribute to providing the needed-evidence for the prevention and treatment of dermatological comorbidities by helping to identify the effects of changing lifestyles and daily behaviours on dermatological diseases because of the novel experimental environment created by the COVID-19 outbreak.
