: We present the first record of Macronyssus heteromorphus Dusbábek et Radovsky, 1972 (Mesostigmata: Gama -sina: Macronyssidae) in the Trans-Urals. Our record is located 1,500 km northwest from the nearest site of this species’ previ ous record. The collected specimen (male) was found parasitizing a female of Myotis brandtii (Eversmann, 1845) (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae). The records of both Macronyssus heteromorphus and its host species are the first ones in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. In this article, we present the measurements of this species for the first time, including the measurements that were omitted from the first description of this mite. Our finding also points to the existence of an area where Myotis brandtii and Myotis sibiricus Kastschenko, 1905 are sympatric.

that Baloghiella caledonica was probably a synonym of Vata thomsoni (Perroud and Montrousier, 1864), and this was confirmed by Deuve (2013). Baloghiella Mandl, 1981 is therefore a synonym of Vata Fauvel, 1881 (Fauvel 1881). The generic name Baloghiella Mandl, 1981 is a junior homonym of Baloghiella Bulanova-Zachvatkina, 1972. Baloghiella Mandl, 1981 has no available junior synonyms. I, therefore, propose the name Vatiella nom. nov. as a substitute for Baloghiella Mandl, 1981. The name Vatiella is a hybrid of Vata and Baloghiella.

A new species of the genus Peloribates (Oribatida, Haplozetidae) is described from Louisiana, USA. Peloribates roynortoni Ermilov, Shtanchaeva et Subías sp.n. is tentatively included in the subgenus Peloribates (Peloribatodes). The new species differs from Peloribates (Peloribatodes) incompatibilis Mahunka, 2011 by the presence of prolamellae, macrofoveolate prodorsum, notogaster and anogenital region as well as striate epimeres.

The genus Cerattoma Mahunka, 1972 (Acari: Pygmephoridae) is redefined. Cerattoma ursulae (Krczal, 1959) is redescribed, based on phoretic females collected under the elytra of a Crypticus sp. (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) darkling beetle in European Russia. An updated key to the genera of the Pygmephoridae family is provided.

: The present study is based on oribatid mite material (Oribatida) collected from the Oromia Region in Ethiopia. A new species of the genus Allogalumna (Galumnidae) is described. Allogalumna oromiaensis Ermilov sp.n. differs from A. abrupta (Hammer, 1972) in having lanceolate bothridial setae and in having a complete dorsosejugal suture. Allogalumna oromiaensis also differs from A. bipartita (Aoki et Hu, 1993) in having three pairs of notogastral porose areas and in having a complete dorsosejugal suture. A list of new records of Ethiopian fauna, which includes seven species, is provided. Of these, Malaconothrus aureopunctatus Hammer, 1979 and Tectocepheus minor Berlese, 1903 are recorded for the first time in the Ethiopian region. The other five species, as well as the genera Ululohmannia Mahunka, 1987 , Hammerabates Balogh, 1970 and Heterogalumna Balogh, 1960, are recorded for the first time in Ethiopia. size 2×2 cm). The mites were ex-tracted into 75% ethanol using Berlese’s funnels with electric lamps in laboratory conditions. A rare species, Paracarophenax bambergensis (Krczal, 1959) (Acari: Acarophenacidae), is redescribed based on phoretic females collected under the elytra of a sap beetle Amphotis marginata (Fabricius, 1781) (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae) in European Russia.

: This study presents a detailed taxonomic review of water mites of the genus Forelia Haller, 1882 (Pionidae, Foreliinae) found in Russia. The review includes illustrations, descriptions and redescriptions of eight Forelia species found in this country: F. brevipes (Neuman, 1880) , F. diaphana (Croneberg, 1899), F. liliacea (Müller, 1776), F. markovensis sp.n., F. mutata (Piersig, 1901), F. mutatella sp.n., F. spatulifera (Marucci, 1907) and F. variegator (Koch, 1837).

A detailed redescription of a female Podocinum catenum Ishikawa, 1970 is provided with the aid of SEM microscopy. P. catenum is recorded for the first time from Western Siberia. Our finding is the northernmost locality for the family Podocinidae (57°21′N). A key to the species of Podocinum occurring in Asian Russia is provided.

: A new species of the genus Gymnobodes (Oribatida, Carabodidae) is described from Côte d’Ivoire. G. cotedivoirensis Ermilov sp.n. differs from the other species of the genus by the presence of translamella on the prodorsum, four longitudinal ridges and one pair of posterolateral concavities on the notogaster. A revised generic diagnosis of Gymnobodes is presented.
