The COVID-19 Health Crisis has resulted in great changes not only in health matters, but it has also been the determining factor for a change in economic activities worldwide. The loss of more than 12 million jobs, only in Mexico, forced the population to look for alternatives to generate economic income; In this sense, it was women who quickly and effectively found a solution through the use of social networks to sell products and services and bring livelihoods to their homes. It is estimated that today, 13 million mexican households depend on the income generated by these groups of women.In our case of study, in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, we can see how of all the groups studied only 20% do not sell something; the best-selling product is food and in terms of services the most offered and requested is beauty or spa. With these data, is evident that the money produced by this activity is circulating among the same members of the group and only 30% claim to pay taxes on these sales.Although taxes for online sales were already established in 2021, they only apply to platforms such as a Marketplace or a virtual store, however, given the impact that sales groups of women through social networks have had and the reports of income they generate, could experience a greater control in 2022 due to the changes that force all people over 18 years of age with income from economic activities to register with the Government Tax Service called SAT (Servicio de Administración Tributaria).
