Herding is a phenomenon which has become a matter of curiosity among researchers. As herding amplifies the reaction of the retail investors to the developments in the stock market, and researchers are finding an answer to this problem in the personality traits of the investors. With a sample size of 100 respondents, the research took place in Delhi-NCR. Data collection took place with the help of a structural questionnaire. In this process, factor analysis was used to identify key variables, and multiple regression test was conducted to ascertain the association between the two variables. The study concluded that agreeableness and neuroticism were the personality traits which were highly vulnerable to herding bias. The observations of the study were that neuroticism and agreeableness are the two personality traits which are highly vulnerable to the problem of herding in stock market, whereas other personality traits did not share any significant relation with herding bias. The research will be immensely beneficial for the research advisors to develop plans in accordance with personality traits of the upcoming investors to save them from the fluctuations in the stock market.

The COVID-19 pandemic created an environment of unprecedented shock among global economies. Prolonged lockdown across countries, national economic downturns and unexpected disruptions of demand and supply cycles created a likeliness towards a phase of slowdown that could last for an uncertain period. The current study is an attempt to investigate the possible post-pandemic implications on selected financial dimensions of an economy. Secondary data have been relied on to highlight the social and economic impact of this pandemic by drawing insights from literature that have been able to foretell or assess the impacts of likely situations of crisis. Major findings of the study are indicative towards the need of fulfilling unmet investments in preparedness against pandemics, the obvious advantages of having pandemics like COVID-19 being covered by insurance, possible long-term shifts in global spending patterns and the importance of financial markets enduring through such uncertainty. Understanding the impacts of past events that might closely parallel the COVID-19 pandemic brings out avenues of future research in this direction and a possibility of supplementing the scant literature available in this area of study.

Employee engagement is a human resources (HR) concept that describes the level of enthusiasm and dedication a worker feels towards their job. Engaged employees care about their work and about the performance of the company, and feel that their efforts make a difference. The main purpose of the study was to understand how employees are engaged when there is no job security and career growth and also to find the best tools of employee engagement in the phase of work-from-home practices. The study found that employee engagement and its factors have a direct and significant effect on organisational performance (Xanthopoulou et al., 2009, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Vol. 82, Issue 1, pp. 183–200). In this uncertain period of coronavirus pandemic, the organisations have taken a big dig in terms of increment and innovation, which led to overall downsizing. The study also found that the employee engagement is significant and positively related to the organisational performance and in the times of Covid-19, the organisational performance is reduced as the employee engagement became low and poor.
(Xanthopoulou et al., 2009, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Vol. 82, Issue 1, pp. 183-200)。

South, Southeast and East (S, SE and E) Asian economies comprise a number of emerging economies that are significantly contributing to the world market. Asian economies are coming up with strong policy frameworks to strengthen trade and investment. Simultaneously, Asian economies (S, SE and E regions) are strategically negotiating a number of vital intra-regional as well as extra-regional trade agreements (RTAs) with an intent to not only boost trade but also to provide an environment for investors to stimulate foreign direct investment (FDI) flows. The study examined the trends and dynamics of regional integration, trade and investment in the said Asian region. The trend for RTAs indicates that economies in S, SE and E Asian regions have negotiated a significant number of bilateral and plurilateral trade agreements. Moreover, export values of three significant RTAs (Association of Southeast Asian Nations [ASEAN], Asia Pacific Trade Agreement [APTA], and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation [SAARC] trading bloc) in the region suggest that export performance of ASEAN and APTA vis-à-vis intra-bloc and the world at large has been far better than the SAARC trading bloc. The dynamics of trade and investment suggest that East Asian economies are contributing a significant percentage to world trade and investment, and Southeast Asian economies are slowly improving trade and investment trends. However, Southern Asian economies need to revisit and revamp existing trade and investment policies to gear up trade and investment flows.

The human resource information system (HRIS) has played a significant role in promoting effective organisational learning, increased productivity, and sustainability during a time of demanding and evolving human resource management practices, as well as the development of information technology. This study combines a bibliometric analysis and a systematic literature review (SLR) to examine the topic. The systematic review was conducted in a methodical manner, involving the collection of available materials and their evaluation based on established criteria. The study focuses on articles published between 2001 and 2021, specifically from the Scopus database. To identify relevant articles, specific keywords such as ‘hris’, ‘hrms’, ‘human resource information system’ and ‘human resource management system’ were used. A total of 57 articles were included for further study based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The purpose of this review-based work is to provide a qualitative understanding of the overall evolutionary trend, knowledge structure and literature gaps related to HRIS. It also suggests potential areas for future research, with a particular emphasis on the service sector, utilising open-source software. The findings highlight the benefits of implementing HRIS in the service sector and offer a comprehensive overview of the advancements and diversification of publications and research in this field. Additionally, the study provides scholars and practitioners with valuable insights to implement HRIS in various sustainable sectors.

The implementation of e-Governance for various government schemes and projects is considered a positive movement for effective and transparent governance around the globe. India as an emerging economy is developing a strong governance network. According to figures from the Statista website, there are approximately 3,870 services of the government of India being included on the e-governance platform as on date 25 January 2022 and this is ever-increasing. The present study was done to evaluate the relationship between various selected criteria of e-governance services, namely benefits, integrity, accessibility, extensibility, problems faced and perceived usefulness with satisfaction of e-governance service users. The study was conducted among 100 users of e-governance applications/websites collected from Google Forms, by selected users of Vadodara city of State of Gujarat. The research study yielded major findings that hover around the dimension of integrity and perceived usefulness of e-governance schemes. It can be inferred that the e-governance schemes display the highest preferences of beneficiaries for integrity and perceived usefulness dimensions.

As firms invest in foreign countries, they face additional costs of doing business in the form of liabilities of foreignness. The liabilities of foreignness are aggravated by the distance in the institutional environment of the home country in which the firms are embedded and the host country in which they invest. Within this context, the aim of this research paper is to examine if a specific form of institutional distance, that is, corruption distance, affects the quantum of inward foreign direct investment (FDI) in India, which is a large emerging market and an important receiver of global FDI flows. Using country-wise FDI inflows data from 2008 to 2020, the results of panel autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) method reveal the presence of a long-run relationship between FDI inflows and corruption distance between India and the home country of the investor firm. The disequilibrium in the long-run relationship, if any, gets adjusted at the rate of 38.1% per year. The findings also suggest that an improvement in the control of corruption is expected to lead to greater FDI inflows in the country, thereby providing an important policy implication. To attract FDI and to fully realise its benefits which are essential for an emerging country like India, policymakers need to make concerted efforts to control the level of corruption.

The main objective of public transport is to convey more people in much less space than individual automobiles and help in reducing traffic congestion as well as air pollution from vehicles. It also relieves riders of the stress that come from daily driving in congested areas. The present study took a case study of SRTUs (State Road Transport Undertakings) of Haryana Roadways and found out which factors affect their performance during study periods. It also analyses the performance of traffic and accidents rate in the state. To evaluate the physical and financial performance of the Haryana Roadways LGR (Linear growth rate) and ordinary least square techniques are adopted and the annual average growth of each variable during 2009–2010 to 2017–2018 with the help of SPSS is found. In the financial aspect, the result reveals that Haryana Roadways goes running into a loss environment. The physical aspects revealed that fleet utilisation, vehicle utilisation, or load factor are decreased and negatively affect the physical performance of Haryana Roadways, but Staff productivity or effective kilometre per day contributes to a positive trend. The findings suggest that appropriate policy initiatives or operational research are required for these undertakings to be transformed into profit-making SRTUs in India.
