Development of the Modified Ocimum gratissimum Seeds for Orally Disintegrating Tablets 口腔崩解片用改良山楂种子的研制

Background Natural materials have been encouraged in controlled drug release and improved drug bioavailability. Objective This study aimed to develop a modification process for the use of a natural material, Ocimum gratissimum seeds (OGS), in Orally Disintegrating Tablets (ODTs). Methods The OGS was investigated with four different modification processes including only milling, swelling, swelling/milling, and swelling/milling/incubation. The ODTs containing the modified OGS as a disintegrant were prepared by the wet granulation method. Furthermore, an evaluation to assess parameters of tablets, such as weight variation, hardness, friability, wetting time, disintegration time, drug content, and dissolution studies, was performed. Results The modification of OGS using the swelling/ milling process resulted in a completion of OGS modification, leading to an ideal wetting time, disintegrating time, and dissolution rate. The OGS concentrations also affected the wetting and disintegrating time with the optimal range of ODTs from 15% to 20%. On the other hand, the modification with the incubation processes varied by temperature and time increased the wetting time and disintegrating time. Conclusions The modified OGS demonstrated that it is a potential material with the advantages of cost-effectiveness, non-toxicity and easy manufacture in the preparation of ODTs.

Que ce soit a la maison ou en salon de coiffure, de nombreuses personnes se colorent les cheveux. Une large gamme de produits, aux palettes de couleurs tres variees et a l’utilisation aisee, est proposee aux consommateurs. Ils ont le choix entre des colorations capillaires permanentes, semi-permanentes ou temporaires. Le principal defi pour les formulateurs est de concilier beaute et respect du cheveu en developpant des produits inoffensifs et moins agressifs. Cet article decrit, dans un premier temps, le cheveu et le constituant responsable de sa couleur, la melanine, pour aborder ensuite les differents types de colorations capillaires ainsi que leur mode d’action.

Actifs cosmétiques anti-pollution - Les polluants environnementaux et leur impact cutané 抗污染化妆品活性成分-环境污染物及其对皮肤的影响

L’Organisation Mondiale de la Sante (OMS) a rapporte qu’en 2016, 90 % des individus dans le monde vivaient dans des zones ne respectant pas ses lignes directrices en ce qui concerne la qualite de l’air. Les consommateurs, avertis des effets nefastes de la pollution de l'air sur l'apparence de la peau, s’orientent donc vers des cosmetiques revendiquant une protection anti-pollution. Apres un etat de l’art sur l’emergence du marche des cosmetiques anti-pollution, cet article presente les principaux polluants affectant l’apparence de la peau. Enfin, les mecanismes d’action de ces polluants au niveau cutane sont decrits afin d’identifier les cibles potentielles de soins cosmetiques antipollution.

Le dynamisme du marche de l’aromatherapie est porte par l’engouement croissant pour les solutions naturelles en sante et bien-etre. Cependant, le developpement de produits d’aromatherapie peut s’averer complexe. Sans cadre reglementaire dedie aux huiles essentielles, la definition d’une strategie marketing et reglementaire est un prealable determinant pour tout futur produit. Pour etre moteur de l’innovation et repondre au defi d’avenir de l’aromatherapie, cet article, illustre d’exemples concrets, propose une approche pratique du developpement produit d’aromatherapie traitant des problematiques de formulation, d’ingredients et d’allegations, jusqu’a la strategie reglementaire adaptee.

En vue d’y parvenir en aromatherapie, il est necessaire d’en maitriser la variabilite et de comprendre le maquis reglementaire applicable. Face au defi d’avenir de l’aromatherapie, cet article, illustre d’exemples, met en evidence les variations possibles de la composition des huiles essentielles et leurs usages therapeutiques, et s’interesse aux multiples statuts reglementaires idoines.
