Reliability and cost analysis of hybridrenewable energy systems 混合可再生能源系统的可靠性和成本分析

This paper deals with the reliability and cost analysis of hybrid renewable energy system (HRES). The optimal cost analysis of HRES is done using Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable (HOMER). The HOMER energy modeling software is a powerful tool for designing and analyzing hybrid power systems. It is currently used all over the world by tens of thousands of people. HRES provides the electrical power for a remote located area. In this work, real time optimal cost analysis of HRES is done based on the load profile, solar radiation and wind speed which were collected from Mandapam in Ramanathapuram District, TamilNadu. HOMER is used here to optimize the system based upon the Total Net Present Cost (TNPC). Moreover, the optimization of system is obtained by varying the sensitivity Variables like solar radiation, wind speed etc.. Cash flow summary of the HRES system is obtained which will be useful for the optimal cost allocation of each individual component present in the system.

Three level diode clamped inverter for field oriented control of induction motor 用于感应电机磁场定向控制的三电平二极管箝位逆变器

Indirect Field Oriented Control is a control technique used in AC drive systems to obtain high performance torque control. Sine pulse width Modulation is used for control the three level diode clamped inverter. In these applications, a rotational transducer such as a shaft encoder senses the speed of rotor. PI controller is then used to alter the firing pulse of three level diode clamped inverter regulate the output voltage to achieve the reputed stator current. The work of this project is to study and evaluate the FOC with open loop and close loop control of three level diode clamped inverter applied to the induction machines through simulations. The simulations were carried out using PSIM simulation package.

Online farming based on embedded systems and wireless sensor networks 基于嵌入式系统和无线传感器网络的在线农业

The agricultural scenario seems to be one of the most promising application areas for WSN due to the necessity of providing the agricultural production chain in terms of precision and quality. This involves a careful system design, since requirements are very strict, battery life-time maximization, robustness, recovery strategies, network flexibility and re-configurability. This paper implements zigbee based wireless sensor network in agriculture such as monitoring of environmental conditions like weather, soil moisture content, soil temperature, soil fertility, weed detection, water level, monitoring growth of the crop, precision agriculture, automated irrigation facility and storage of agricultural products. The aim of this project is to monitor and maintain the farm from any part of the world through internet. Monitoring is done with the help of wireless sensor networks and all the control process is done with the help of the microcontrollers. Wireless cameras are used to feed live video of the farm to any part of the world. With the help of this project, modern technologies and new ideas can be implemented in the farm sector of our country. A farmer can see the real condition of his farm and also control his farm from any part of the world by logging into farming website. This makes the Indian farmers feel comfortable and reduces the risks involved in irrigation. The idea has the potential to attract entrepreneurs to invest in the agricultural sector.

Solid oxide fuel cell based grid connected operation 固体氧化物燃料电池并网运行

As energy consumption rises, one must find suitable alternative means of generation to supplement conventional existing generation facilities. In this regard, distributed generation will continue to play a critical role in the energy supply demand. The common technologies available as DG are micro-turbines, solar, photovoltaic systems, fuel cells stack and wind energy systems. A dynamic model of solid oxide fuel cell is done. Fuel cells operate at low voltages and hence fuel cells need to be boosted and inverted in order to connect into the utility grid. A DC-DC converter and a DC-AC inverter were used for interfacing SOFC with the grid. The output voltage and current waveforms of the DC-AC inverter, load and grid are analyzed for various load for grid connected applications.

Secure transmission of medical information using IRIS recognition and steganography 利用IRIS识别和隐写术安全传输医疗信息

Medical information is extremely high sensitive in nature. Tampering by a third party may result in identity theft and incorrect diagnosis. Hence, it is important to secure the transfer of medical information from the patient to the remote system where the specialist. The proposed work decomposes this problem into two sub-problems and proposes security solutions to each of them: (1) to secure the link between the patient and the device, and (2) to secure the link between the device and the network. Biometric identification is extremely an effective authentication. Thus we push the limits of the network security to the edge by authenticating the user using their biometric information; authenticating the device to the network at the physical layer and strengthening the security of the wireless link using steganography. The proposed authentication methods can be used for recording the medical data in a central database and for accessing medical records in various settings. An algorithm for visual cryptography and steganography is built using MATLAB platform. The proposed work considers iris images for authentication it was taken from CASIA Iris Image Database V4.0.

A new modified hybrid h-bridge multilevel inverter using less number of switches 一种使用较少开关数的新型混合式h桥多电平逆变器

This work proposes new modified hybrid H-bridge multilevel inverter using bidirectional auxiliary switch. The new topology produces a significant reduction in the number of power devices and capacitors required to implement a multilevel output when compared to the conventional MLIs. It is used in the design of a five-level output. The reduced number of switches reduces the switching losses and improves the efficiency of the inverter. This method achieves the variation of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) in the inverter and output voltage is observed from various modulation indices. Simulation is performed using MATLAB-SIMULINK. Variable Frequency (VF) strategy provides output with relatively low distortion for all strategies. It is also seen that Carrier Overlapping (CO) is found to perform better for all strategies since it provides relatively higher fundamental RMS output voltage.

Achieving high input power factor for DCM boost PFC converters by controlling variable duty cycle 通过控制可变占空比实现DCM升压PFC变换器的高输入功率因数

Power factor correction converters have been widely used in ac-dc power conversions to achieve high power factor (PF) and low harmonic distortion. A discontinuous-current-mode (DCM) boost power factor correction (PFC) converter features zero-current turn-on for the switch, no reverse recovery in diode, and constant frequency operation. But the input power factor (PF) is relatively low when the duty cycle is constant. The proposed work achieves high input power factor by controlling the variable duty cycle for DCM boost power factor correction converters. A new method has been introduced for the accurate measurement of power factor. The proposed technique achieves a lower output voltage ripple and higher efficiency compared to constant duty cycle control.

Modified carrier PWM strategies for multilevel inverters 多电平逆变器的改进载波PWM策略

Pulse width modulation techniques based on novel carrier functions to provide maximum utilization of dc-link voltage in the linear region is proposed in this paper. The objective of the proposed methods is to achieve improved fundamental voltage with reduced total harmonic distortion (THD). The performance of the proposed strategies is tested with a single phase seven level multilevel inverter using MATLAB/Simulink.

Solar based wireless power transfer system 基于太阳能的无线电力传输系统

This paper describes about the utilization of solar energy and the wireless transmission of the generated power. First the solar power is stored in a battery which is then transferred through wireless medium based on inductive coupling. There is a high thrust for renewable energy to mitigate the effect of global warming. The inductive power transfer has wide applications along with renewable energy. To demonstrate this solar based wireless power transfer system for home appliances has been developed. The advantage of this project is to increase the usage of renewable energy resources in order to reduce the CO emissions. And also the wireless power transfer system is a new way to transfer the power to the load rather than the conventional method of transferring power through livewires.

Non-intrusive harmonic source identification using neural networks 基于神经网络的非侵入性谐波源识别

This paper proposes the neural network (NN) based approach for the identification of various harmonic sources present in an electrical installation. In this method the harmonic injecting devices are identified using their distinct `harmonic signatures' extracted from the input current waveform. The complexity increases with increase in the number of loads and their combinations. Such automated non-intrusive device identification helps in monitoring and enhancing power quality. The performance of a neural network to a large extent depends upon the type of architecture used and their learning algorithm. Eight commonly used domestic loads are identified and their harmonic signatures obtained. The data is used to design a Feed Forward neural networks (FF) and Single Neuron Cascade networks (SNC). The performance of these models was compared in terms of their recognition accuracy and network complexity. Both the networks are shown to perform well in terms of accuracy. However CC network has been found to be the most suitable architecture because of its low computational requirements and ease in design.
