Resumen Ethan Kleinberg, es profesor de Historia y Letras de la Universidad de Wesleyan, director del Centro de Humanidades y editor ejecutivo de la revista History and Theory. Su primer libro, Generation Existential: Heidegger’s Philosophy in France, 1927-1961, fue publicado por la Universidad de Cornell, y galardonado con el Premio Morris D. Forkosch 2006 al mejor libro de historia intelectual otorgado por la revista Journal of the History of Ideas. Recientemente, el profesor Kleinberg co-editó de la mano de Ranjan Ghosh el volumen Presence: Philosophy, History and Cultural Theory for the 21st Century, publicado también por la Universidad de Cornell. Resumen En la construcción de las identidades nacionales es esencial el papel desempeñado por los enemigos externos y los enemigos internos. En el caso de Galicia, que es el que vamos a analizar, veremos que los traidores poseen una influencia mínima porque los enemigos más importantes se situarán fuera de Galicia. Se trata de Castilla y después España, antagonistas por antonomasia del pueblo gallego. Estudiaremos también la noción de antepasados gloriosos, muy útiles a la hora de proporcionar prestigio a la nación gallega, sobre todo en momentos de opresión o humillación. En este sentido, el mito celta, los suevos o los mártires serán figuras esenciales en el proceso de construcción de la identidad gallega. Analizaremos, por otro lado, la pervivencia de ciertos tópicos que desde el punto de vista histórico son insostenibles en el nacionalismo gallego actual. Palabras clave Nacionalismo gallego, BNG, mito celta, suevos, mártires, Castilla y España. Abstract The role played by external enemies and internal enemies is essential in the construction of national identities. In the case of Galicia, which we are going to analyze, we will see that the traitors have a minimal influence because the most important enemies will be located outside Galicia. We will also study the notion of glorious ancestors, very useful in providing prestige to the Galician nation, especially in times of oppression or humiliation. The Celtic myth, the suevos or the martyrs will be essential figures in the construction of Galician identity. On the other hand, we will analyze the survival of certain topics that from the historical point of view are unsustainable in current Galician nationalism. Resumen Este artículo se acerca a una figura, aunque de algún modo principal, un tanto descuidada por la historia de la historiografía en la Argentina y en Latinoamérica: la del cordobés Ramón J. Cárcano (1860-1946). Se está en presencia de un historiador liberal que suelda su intervención intelectual y política con una tradición historiográfica fundada en Buenos Aires, mixturando a su vez esa práctica, por cierto constante y sistemática, en los tiempos e instancias de un derrotero clásico, propio de un miembro destacado de la elite política del reformismo liberal, que ubica a la historia en la médula de su disputa por el poder. El examen propuesto documenta e interpreta el esfuerzo de síntesis historiográfica resuelto por Cárcano, concreción que proyecta el territorio historiográfico al plano de la historia diplomática y política y está dispuesto a indagar, fundamentalmente, las vinculaciones entre Argentina y Brasil durante gran parte del siglo XIX. Asimismo, se busca arribar a la conceptualización que el mismo intelectual efectuara sobre la Historia y sobre su propia labor historiográfica en el contexto argentino con sus respectivos referentes, recuperando luego las voces de sus críticos para acceder al lugar ocupado por el cordobés en distintos planos del panorama intelectual e historiográfico de la Argentina y de Brasil desde finales del siglo XIX hasta casi finalizados los años treinta. Abstract This article approaches a figure, albeit somehow principal, rather overlooked by the history of historiography in Argentina: that of the Cordobese Ramón J. Cárcano (1860-1946). One is in front of a liberal historian that welds his intellectual and political intervention into a historiographic tradition founded in Buenos Aires, mixing simultaneously that practice, incidentally constant and systematic, in the times and moments of a classic course characteristic of an outstanding member of the political elite of liberal reformism, placing history in the heart of the power dispute. The analysis proposed documents and interprets the effort of historiographic synthesis resolved by Cárcano, a realisation that projects the historiographic territory onto the plane of diplomatic and poltical history, and is ready to investigate, fundamentally, the links between Argentina and Brazil during a great part of the 19th century. Likewise, the intention is to arrive at the conceptualisation which the intellectual himself would make about History and his own historiography work in the Argentinian context with its respective references, retrieving later on his critics’ voices, to access the position of the Cordobese in the different levels of the intellectual and historiographic panorama in Argentina and Brazil from the end of the 19th century to the late thirties. Resumen Este artículo pretende explorar las conexiones y particularidades de la historia de las mujeres y la historia de género a través de un ejemplo medieval: la llamada querella de las mujeres en la Castilla del siglo XV. Primero, se describirán brevemente los rasgos fundamentales de este debate sobre la condición femenina. A continuación, se analizará brevemente el surgimiento de la historia de las mujeres y la interpretación que se hace de la querella de las mujeres dentro de esta corriente historiográfica. En tercer lugar, se estudiarán la aplicación de postulados del feminismo de la diferencia a la querella en el ámbito castellano. Finalmente, se explicará la emergencia de la historia de género y se expondrán algunas de las posibles aproximaciones desde esta perspectiva al análisis de la querella de las mujeres. First, the fundamental traits of this debate about the feminine condition will be described. Next, I will analyze the emergence of women's history and the interpretation of the “querelle des femmes” within this historiographical tendency. In the third place, the use of the postulates of difference feminism in relation to the debate in a Castilian context will be studied. Finally, the emergence of gender history will be explained, and some of the posible approaches to the analysis of the “querelle des femmes” from this perspective will be layed out. Resumen Durante el siglo XIX fueron elaborados en Argentina los primeros relatos nacionales, los cuales desde una matriz liberal proporcionaron una imagen negativa de los caudillos provinciales. En este artículo se aborda el archivo epistolar del historiador David Peña, considerado un precursor en la revisión de esa construcción historiográfica, con el objetivo de indagar su postura frente a la tradición mitrista, y explorar sus nexos con escritores vinculados al revisionismo. Se parte del presupuesto de que la correspondencia personal resulta útil para conocer el pensamiento de un autor, reconstruir redes intelectuales y estudiar el circuito seguido por la difusión de ideas. Abstract The first national narratives elaborated in Argentina during the nineteenth century, from a liberal matrix provided a negative image of the provincial warlords. In this paper is analyzed the epistolar archive of historian David Peña, considered a pioneer in the revision of this historiographical construction, in order to investigate his position against the mitrista tradition, and to explore his relationships with writers linked to revisionism. It is assumed that personal correspondence is useful to know the thought of an author, to rebuild intellectual networks and to study the circuit followed by the diffusion of ideas.
