This paper presents an improved hierarchical bag-of-words model based on local space-time features to generate multi-level features, in which higher-level features are generated by lower-level feature neighborhoods. An improved method is developed to extract low-level local space-time features, in which the concept of video orthogonal planes is introduced, and interest points are detected on video orthogonal planes. A weighted function is utilized to integrate the descriptors in cuboids extracted around interest points to form the lowest level local features. Multi-level features generated by the hierarchical bag-of-words model are combined to represent actions in a video for action recognition. Experimental results carried on KTH and Weizmann datasets demonstrate that our method yield higher recognition rate.

This paper presents a hardware implementation of a robust non-autonomous hyperchaotic-based PRNG driven by a 256-bit LFSR. The original chaotic output is post-processed using a novel technique based on the Fibonacci series, bitwise XOR, rotation, and feedback. The proposed post-processing technique preserves the throughput of the system and enhances the randomness in the output which is verified by successfully passing all NIST SP. 800-22 tests. The system is realized on a Xilinx Virtex 4 FPGA achieving throughput up to 13.165 Gbits/s for 16-bit bus-width surpassing previously reported CB-PRNGs.

Software-Defined Networking (SDN)/OpenFlow is recently recognized as an emerging technology for network virtualization and programmability. In an OpenFlow network, forwarding (data) planes (i.e., OpenFlow switches) are distributed and remotely controlled by a so-called network controller, which centralizes the network's control functions. The centralized control model of SDN has been proven to be applicable in various deployments ranging from datacenter, campus networks to wide area networks (WANs). In the OpenFlow-based networks, the communication channel between the network controller and switches, which is defined in the scope of OpenFlow specification, plays the most important role. In this paper, we argue that in the state-of-the-art specification establishing one path between a switch and controller potentially decreases the resilience of OpenFlow WANs. Therefore, we propose to use multiple paths for each switch-controller communication and discuss applicable multipath technologies.

The WBAN that can collect measured vital sign through sensors enables continuous monitoring for the elder and chronic disease. As smart devices become popular, the development of WBAN has been easier. We have optimized WBAN by control of sampling rate. The sampling rate presents as the number of data per second. It is important factor that determines resolution of waveform. Even high sampling rate cause decline of network performance. The smart device has multi threads such as Bluetooth thread and main thread. The Bluetooth thread collects vital sign from sensing node. The main thread performs processing for vital sign and computation for drawing waveform. We expect to contribute to developing of cloud computing system for u-Health environment.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system is used for the reducing almost every kind of interference in any communication system. For designing OFDM system need to use FFT and IDFT phenomena of signal processing, in this work mainly concern to improve peak to average power ratio for this system because this system is multicarrier system, and in the multiple carriers are nearly having same frequency but still they do not overlap to each other because these multiple carriers are orthogonal to each other. These multiple carriers have different power and energy levels so we get very unfair PAPR for this system here channel codes can be use to improve PAPR for that system, so in this work we will focus on the Comparing PAPR of OFDM system for different Channel codes.

The continued growth of Internet traffic associated with the popularity of online social networks (OSNs) raises the possibility that knowledge of the underlying social graph connecting users may be exploited to enhance content distribution and delivery. In our previous work, we found that partitioning OSN users and their data based on their social graph, and using the partitioning as basis for content placement decisions across cache servers yield significant improvements over randomly-partitioned implementations. In this paper we go beyond content placement and use the same partitioning scheme to push updates across distributed caches to maintain consistency in OSN state. To avoid making singular assumptions on the degree to which user interaction patterns are influenced either by social considerations or content popularity, we parameterized our experiments to determine the impact of various interaction mixes on different cache designs. We found that in the new hybrid scheme that combines "socially-aware" cooperative content placement, on one hand, with social graph-driven proactive content delivery on the other, significant performance benefit continues to be driven by the former rather than the latter. Consequently, the hybrid scheme is likewise sensitive to the granularity of graph partitioning, which in turn dictates cache sizes and the number of cache servers.

We highlight the important of ubiquitous healthcare monitoring in medical application. Real time ECG is displayed and monitored by using mobile device. User can monitor his ECG signal using the mobile device at anywhere and anytime. A calculation-simplified algorithm for abnormal heartbeat detection and abnormal heartbeat check map (AHCM) with normal and abnormal-visibility are proposed and evaluated. R- peak detection rate of 99.96% and abnormal heartbeat detection rate of 96.15% are achieved through MIT- BIH normal arrhythmia database evaluation. R-peak detection rate of 97.8% and abnormal heartbeat detection rate of 78.9% is achieved through real time ECG data evaluation in slope experiment. The AHCM allows user who do not have any professional medical knowledge also capable to identify his or her heartbeat abnormalities.

Based on results of J.J.Climent, Pedro R. Navarro and Leandro Tortosa about Bergman ring, the paper constructs an exponent type encryption and decryption cryptosystem analogue of RSA. Althought involving many operations than original RSA in encryption and decryption processes, the cryptosystem has some advantages compare to known RSA variants.

This article deals with the obstacle detection on a railway crossing (clearance detection). Detection is based on the optical flow estimation and classification of the flow vectors by K means clustering algorithm. For classification of passing vehicles is used optical flow direction determination. The optical flow estimation is based on a modified Lucas-Kanade method.
