Phenomenology of Soft QCD: The Role of Minimum-Bias Measurements 软QCD的现象学:最小偏差测量的作用

This chapter summarizes minimum-bias measurements at the Large Hadron Collider. In particular, the pseudorapidity density, the transverse-momentum spectra, the multiplicity distribution, the correlation of average transverse momentum and the multiplicity, and a measurement of minijets are presented. In addition to an overview of the results obtained to date at the LHC, the experimental challenges of defining particle and event sample and correcting to this sample are discussed.

Dipoles in Impact Parameter Space and Rapidity 碰撞参数空间和速度中的偶极子

We describe the DIPSY model for initial state evolution and the implementation of this in an event generator for producing fully exclusive hadronic final states. The model is formulated in impact parameter space and rapidity. Including non-leading and nonlinear effects, it gives a unique picture of fluctuations and correlations in the initial state parton evolutions. It also gives an impact-parameter- dependent description of the final state, allowing for new insights into the hadronization process in dense collision environments.
