Stability enhancement in smart grid by using superconducting fault current limiter 超导故障限流器增强智能电网稳定性

Demand of energy is increasing day by day. To fulfill this demand, distributed generation (DG) units are integrated with conventional grid. This integration not only effect grid planning but also impacts on operation of distribution grid. In this paper Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind turbine and diesel generator is penetrated with conventional grid. This penetration causes increase in fault current level. To mitigate this increase in fault level, Superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) of resistive type is introduced in a system. SFCL not only minimize the fault current level but also improve the voltage profile, harmonics and transient stability of a system in case of different faults. The study is carried out using MATLAB/Simulink with special focuses on active and reactive power of the DFIG based wind turbine, conventional grid and diesel generator parameters.

Load frequency resilient control of power system against delayed input cyber attack 针对延迟输入网络攻击的电力系统负荷频率弹性控制

Nowadays the industrial control systems (ICS) like smart grids involve the IT infrastructure as well as open communication networks. This makes the smart grids vulnerable to cyber attacks which can cause a heavy impact on human life and economy as well. Here, we consider time-delay-switch (TDS) attack on the load frequency control (LFC) of smart grid. TDS attack can destabilize the power system because the adversary introduces the delays in the control signal communication channel of the LFC system. TDS attack on control channel is also termed as delayed input attack. To counter this adverse situation, linear matrix inequality (LMI) based H∞ resilient controller is designed by utilizing the Lyapnov-Krasovskii (LK) functional based delay-dependent stability criteria. The effectiveness and resilience of the designed controller is verified by the numerical simulation on the linear time invariant (LTI) model of LFC for two-area power system.

Robust fault diagnosis of power grid network system 电网系统鲁棒故障诊断

Power Networks are composed of power generation, power transmission and power distribution networks. These are also called electro mechanical system due to the coupling of electrical system with mechanical system. Like any other technological system, power networks are also prone to faults and failures due to this electro-mechanical complex interconnection. In addition, there is a concept of smart grid in modern power networks. Therefore, there is a risk of cyber-attacksfaults on power networks. So, to maintain uninterrupted power, fault diagnosis/ cyber-attack detection in power networks is needed to detect, isolate and estimate the faults. A nonlinear power network is modeled by descriptor system. The descriptor systems require special mathematical techniques to deal its differential algebraic nature. This paper deals the fault detection of power network using nonlinear robust fault diagnosis descriptor approach. The fault diagnosis filters are designed for the detection and estimation of sensor and actuator fault for power networks.

Satellite image restoration using RLS adaptive filter and enhancement by image processing techniques 利用RLS自适应滤波和图像处理增强技术恢复卫星图像

Satellite images in course of capturing and transmitting are frequently degraded due to channel effects or uncertain conditions. These effects introduce different noise patterns such as, Additive White Gaussian Noise, Salt & Pepper Noise and Mixed Noise. Therefore, retrieved images are highly noise corrupted because the image contents are more attenuated or amplified. The selection of optimum image restoration and filtering technique depends to have knowledge about the characteristics of degrading system and noise pattern in an image. In this paper, Recursive Least Square (RLS) adaptive algorithm is used for image restoration from highly noise corrupted images. The implementation of proposed methodology is being carried out by estimating the noise patterns of wireless channel through configuring System Identification with RLS adaptive algorithm. Then, these estimated noise patterns are eliminated by configuring Signal Enhancement with RLS algorithm. The restored images are functioned for further denoising and enhancement techniques. The image restoration and further processing algorithms are simulated in MATLAB environment. The performance is evaluated by means of Human Visual System, quantitative measures in terms of MSE, RMSE, SNR & PSNR and by graphical measures. The experimental results demonstrate that RLS adaptive algorithm efficiently eliminated noise from distorted images and delivered a virtuous evaluation without abundant degradation in performance.

Design of highly selective ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter using step impedance resonator and parallel coupled lines 采用阶跃阻抗谐振器和平行耦合线设计高选择性超宽带(UWB)带通滤波器

In this paper, a compact highly selective UWB bandpass filter is designed. The detailed analysis is provided for the design procedure where, Chebyshev type filtering response is extracted using even-odd mode analysis. The presented UWB bandpass filter consists of two 90o parallel coupled lines attached to a 270o step impedance resonator (SIR). In this configuration, six transmission poles are achieved in the passband. The step impedance resonator provides compactness as well as suppression of spurious resonance at high-frequency side. To validate the proposed design, a microstrip based fabrication is done on Roger Duroid 5880. The simulated and measured results are well correlated.

Optimal positioning of bridge type superconducting fault current limiter in solar integrated electric power grid 桥式超导故障限流器在太阳能集成电网中的优化定位

This paper addresses the stability and excessive fault current issues which arise due to the integration of distributed renewable energy sources with the main grid. The main focus of this work is to study the effects of the application of bridge type SFCL (Superconducting fault current limiter) on the suppression of excessive fault current and stability enhancement of solar integrated power system under fault condition. In this regard, we found scarce literature about the optimal position of SFCL for solar integrated power system. Thus, to bridge this gap, a typical power system with generation, transmission and distribution has been modeled in MATLAB/Simulink with solar power plant as a dispersed energy source. SFCL device has been connected at different positions while three phase fault has been introduced at three different locations. Results are evaluated to determine the best possible position of SFCL device according to fault current suppression and PV stability requirements. Consequently the strategic position of bridge type SFCL in solar connected power system is proposed and its effective performance is presented.

Linearization approach for anti-windup synthesis and implementation for DC motor speed control 直流电动机转速控制的线性化反绕组综合与实现

In this note, we present the method for designing the anti-windup gain for non-linear systems having input saturation. The non-linear systems are considered to be operated at one operating point having the load variations. The non-linear model is linearized around the operating point. Then by using that linearized model, dynamic output feedback compensator that meet the desired performance criterion's is designed by neglecting the input saturation of the system. An existing linear matrix inequality based approach is used for computing anti-windup gain of the linearized model so that the closed loop system will be asymptotically stable. The design is then implemented on the non-linear DC servo motor. The steps including calibration, controller discretization, and implementation were detailed. It is worth noting that the simulation and experimental results demonstrate similar performance. Simulations and experimental results, showing recovery from wind-up, are performed under both without and with load conditions.

On robust residual generation for fault detection in linear uncertain time delay systems 线性不确定时滞系统故障检测的鲁棒残差生成

This paper investigates the design of robust fault detection filter (RFDF) for LTI systems with state delay considering unknown inputs and norm bounded uncertainties. A delayfree and uncertainty-free reference residual generator introduced based on Hi/H∞ performance index. It is optimal in the sense that it compensates the effects of time delay, ensures sensitivity to faults and robustness against disturbances. Then the RFDF is designed based on H∞ model matching technique and results are expressed as LMIs. Benchmark example of Jacketed Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (JCSTR) is simulated for abrupt as well as incipient faults to present the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Power system stability enhancement over a network with random delays 随机延迟网络下电力系统稳定性的增强

The emergence of conventional electrical grid into smart grid has enabled the use of networked controllers for power system control applications. This article discusses the rotor angle stability enhancement of a power system using networked control, where the channel has random delays. An optimal stochastic control is designed to damp the oscillations in power system and compensate the delay effects using probability distribution of delays. Due to unavailability of states, a Kalman filter like estimator is used for states estimation. Stability analysis of the closed-loop system is performed for investigating the effect of delays, delay probabilities and parametric variation on stability of the system. WSCC 3-machines, 9-bus system is used as a case study for verification of the designed observer-based control.

Secure multipath routing using link compromise metric in mobile ad hoc networks 移动自组织网络中基于链路折衷度量的安全多路径路由

In this paper, we propose a novel routing protocol by overcoming the security issues of node disjoint multipath routing protocols to ensure the reliability by discovering multiple secure paths. The proposed protocol considers link compromise probabilities to generate multiple routes with low compromise probabilities. Contrary to contemporary distance metric multipath routing protocols, our proposed work is. In the end, simulation results show improvement in path compromise probability and reliability in comparison with Distance routing Metric. Simulations show that the ratio of compromised paths is dropped significantly by implementing the proposed routing algorithm and consequently security aspect of the data routing is also improved. The proposed routing protocol is suitable for dynamic ad hoc networks where topology changes frequently.
