The scientific research intends to analyze the influence of social media within the trials of crimes of capacity of the Jury Court. The subject of the research discusses the theme: "Criminal Procedure: The influence of the Media in the Jury Court". The objectives addressed in the study is to: to analyze the methodology of the court, its trajectory throughout history in Brazil and today, with emphasis on the evolution of the Jury; to demonstrate, in accordance with the Constitution, the principles that govern it on the subject, to also report on the influence of the media and the ease of access to information and how this hurts a fundamental principle, which is the presumption of innocence and other constitutional guarantees; Accordingly, demonstrate how there is the manipulation of the press according to the information disclosed to society; expose and analyze real cases that have reverberated worldwide due to exacerbated explanation of the press. Through this study it was possible to verify the divergence between two principles of utmost importance, which are the principle of freedom of the press and the presumption of innocence, in which the latter prevails over the former, because it is necessary that the defendant has a human trial, outside media influence, thus manifesting the firmness of the jurors when sentencing the facts that are protected by the Penal Code.
