airports through concessions contracts brings with it changes in the control structure and informational asymmetries such as those mentioned in the Agency Theory, as well as the agreement of long-term contracts that, according to the Theory of Incomplete Contracts, may present gaps and affect the economic performance of these assets. This article aims to compare the performance indicators of Brazilian airports managed by the government with those found in airports conceded to private entities. For this, quantile regression models were used. The sample consists of the 20 largest Brazilian airports, 14 under public administration and 6 under private administration. The results point to better profitability and cost efficiency at public airports, while private airports perform better in terms of their ability to generate revenues and to diversify the sources of those revenues.

Public service innovations are required in a complex context and demand more efficient services. This article aims to analyze the orientation towards innovation in the public health sector in primary care. The descriptive and exploratory research was carried out in Curitiba/PR, Brazil. The data collection occurred between February and August 2018, with 487 managers and care professionals. The Orientation Scale for Innovation in public organizations was applied. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, with exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis to calculate the factor loading of each item and the Innovation Orientation Coefficient. In addition to identifying how much the organization is oriented towards innovation, a better result was evident in the environment that stimulates learning in which the local manager has greater autonomy. Thus, analysis of innovation orientation is considered a potential to generate value for elaborating and implementing public policies.

purpose of this article is to present and discuss empirical evidence from the Fairwork Project in Brazil, which deals with decent work in the context of digital platforms, based on data collected for year 1 of the project (2021-2022). Created and coordinated by the Oxford Internet Institute in England, this project involves partnerships with research teams in thirty-nine countries on five continents. The action research carried out in this project is guided by five common principles of decent work that make it possible to evaluate the performance of platform companies: fair pay, working conditions, contracts, management, and representation. Its methodological path integrates interviews with workers, desk research, and structured meetings with representatives of platform companies. The empirical evidence already raised demonstrates that workers linked to these organizations in Brazil are not met with regard to the minimum requirements of decent work, reinforcing the need to address the regulatory challenges of platformized work.

The results show that four of the eight design principles are applied, with EMC being decentralized to local public bodies, which gives autonomy to local managers who complement and customize the rules. Thus, the main advance of the article is to demonstrate that the design principles, identified by the social goods literature, added to the flexibility of digital platforms, enable the construction of more dynamic, adaptable, and innovative EMCs, capable of contributing to the construction of regimes of the more appropriate use of public services. Result adherent to the contingent and dynamic character associated with the classification of goods.
