The Processes of Electron-Positron Scattering for Electroweak Theory Investigation 电弱理论研究中电子-正电子散射过程

Studies of scattering processes at linear colliders of the new generation, when the interaction energy reaches several TeV, make it possible to obtain impressive results. To obtain precise research results, it is important to perform a comparative analysis of the processes of particle interaction on electron-positron, electron-photon and photon-photon beams in order to clarify kinematic features of various processes, as well as possibilities of building a program for studying extended calibration models. The process of production of muon-antimuon, taon-antitaon, and quark-antiquark pairs as a result of high-energy electron and positron annihilation is calculated. A numerical analysis of the differential and total cross sections of the process, as well as the asymmetry of forward-backward departure, has been performed. A study of the ultrarelativistic approximation has been carried out; it has been found that it effectively describes the cross sections of the process. A comparative analysis of the process cross sections for various types of final particles has been carried out.

Quantum-Mechanical Scattering Problem in Lobachevsky Space at Low Energies Lobachevsky空间中低能量子力学散射问题

Based on the use of the asymptotics for the wave function of a scattered particle in a Lobachevsky space in a form close to the asymptotics in flat space, general formulas for the theory of quantum mechanical scattering in this space are derived. This approach makes it possible to represent the basic formulas of the theory of scattering in the Lobachevsky space in the form that coincides with the corresponding expressions in three-dimensional Euclidean space. We o.er quantities (length of scattering, effective scattering radius), that are used in describing scattering at short-range potentials and are convenient as phenomenological parameters in describing nuclear interactions at low energies. Numerical estimates of these quantities and cross sections at low energies, that are characteristic of nuclear physics, are given.

In present paper it has been shown that yields of charged hadrons can give information on a type of the formed matter (cold or hot) in heavy-ion collisions and about validity of the parton energy loss models. For last purpose the HIJING Monte-Carlo generator is used modi.ed with parton energy loss models.

MiniSPD Stand for Testing Si-Detectors MiniSPD代表测试硅探测器

SPD (Spin Physics Detector) collaboration proposes to install a universal setup in the second interaction point of the NICA collider under construction (JINR, Dubna) to study the spin structure of the proton and deuteron. It plans to carry out research of spin-related phenomena with polarized proton and deuteron beams at a collision energy up to 27 GeV and a luminosity up to 1032 cm−2 s−1. MiniSPD stand is manufactured as a setup for testing SPD detector prototypes with cosmic muons at LHEP. It allows to carry out checkout of the Data Acquisition System (DAQ), the Detector Control System (DCS). Young physicists and students working at this test bench gain experience of work with real detectors of the future SPD setup. In this report, we give some information about the basic tasks of SPD projects. The results of simulation and comparison with data on cosmic rays at this stand for three modules of silicon plates are also presented.

Negative Derivative Feedback Controller for Repressing Vibrations of the Hybrid Rayleigh−Van der Pol−Duffing Oscillator 抑制混合瑞利-范德波尔-杜芬振荡器振动的负导数反馈控制器

Negative derivative feedback (NDF) controller is presented for suppressing the vibrations of a nonlinear dynamical system at the worst resonance case (Ω=ω1, ω2=ω1). To obtain the approximate solution, we used the multiple scales technique. The behavior of uncontrolled and controlled system is presented using time histories. We used the frequency-response equations to investigate the stability of controlled system. The e.ectiveness of closed loop parameters on the behavior of the main system and NDF controller has been studied. We found that all obtained solutions using multiple scales method are in a good agreement with the numerical solutions.

The most of studies in the theory of spin 2 field were performed with the use of the 2-nd order equations. The spin 2 particle theory proposed by F.I. Fedorov is based on the first order equations requires a 30-component set of tensors. Besides, by him and coauthors was elaborated a more general theory, which is based on 50-component set of tensors. In the present paper, we consider this more general theory in presence of arbitrary electromagnetic fields and Riemannian space-time backgrounds. First we study the 50-component theory for a massive particle. In this case, there arises the non-minimal interaction with the curved space-time background through the Ricci and Riemann tensors. It is important that the theory under consideration allows for a new massless limit for the spin 2 field. This fact is of special interest, because the conventional Pauli - Fierz theory for the massless field does not possess gauge symmetry in the curved space-time, in particular, in models with the vanishing Ricci tensor. We show that the generalized theory possesses such a gauge symmetry in all space-time models for which the Ricci tensor vanishes.

Nonperturbative Corrections to Adler Function and Hypothesis of Vacuum Dominance Adler函数的非微扰修正与真空优势假设

We check the range of values of four-quark condensate, relying on the processing of experimental data on e+e− annihilation into even number of pions (BaBar, CMD-2, OLYA) and extracting from them the values of the nonperturbative corrections. According to the hypothesis of vacuum dominance, the vacuum average of the four-quark condensate is expressed in terms of quark condensate while only vacuum intermediate states contribution is taken into account. However, assuming a possible non-zero effect of non-vacuum intermediate states, we check its influence on the four-quark condensate, or coefficient C6 in operator product expansion. Moreover, we explore how other nonperturbative corrections, C2 (operator with dimension 2), and C4 (which includes gluon condensate), are changed when assuming this effect. It is shown that values of four-quark condensate, or coefficient C6, can vary not more than 15-20%. Other parameters (C2 and C4) take values close to the currently available ones.

Polarization Properties of the Electrically Controlled Twist-Planar Liquid Crystal Di.raction Structure 电控扭面液晶的极化特性。反应结构

The properties of the designed anisotropic diffraction structures based on the spatially structured electrically-controlled liquid crystal elements have been studied. Such a di.raction structure represents interchanging layers of a nematic liquid crystal with planar and twist orientations of the director. It is formed when a photosensitive polymer is subjected to the e.ect of polarized ultraviolet radiation through a photolithographic mask. It is shown that increase in voltages leads to transformations of the liquid crystal structure. At minor voltages the diffraction structure may be considered as two amplitude gratings with orthogonal polarizations at the output. At the voltage associated with the broken Mauguin condition (optical threshold of the twist effect) the amplitude-to-phase transformation of the di.raction structure takes place and its diffraction e.ciency becomes higher. The proposed theoretical model enables one to explain the relationship between di.raction characteristics of a di.raction element and applied voltage or polarization of light. A good agreement of theoretical and experimental results is demonstrated.

Such a di.raction structure represents interchanging layers of a nematic liquid crystal with planar and twist orientations of the director. It is formed when a photosensitive polymer is subjected to the e.ect of polarized ultraviolet radiation through a photolithographic mask. It is shown that increase in voltages leads to transformations of the liquid crystal structure. At minor voltages the diffraction structure may be considered as two amplitude gratings with orthogonal polarizations at the output. At the voltage associated with the broken Mauguin condition (optical threshold of the twist effect) the amplitude-to-phase transformation of the di.raction structure takes place and its diffraction e.ciency becomes higher. New semiclassical quantization conditions of the energy levels are obtained for the relativistic systems of two fermions of arbitrary masses interacting by means of the singular con.ning Coulomb-like potential. Quantization conditions of the energy levels were found for the pseudoscalar, vector, and pseudovector mesons. The present analysis was performed within the Hamiltonian formulation of quantum field theory via a transition to the relativistic con.guration representation for the case of two relativistic spin particles with arbitrary masses.

We obtain the integrated .avor asymmetry of sea quarks in the proton based on the Drell- Yan (DY) NuSea/E866 measurements and the global analysis of the nonsinglet DIS structure function F2p−n including also the most recent DY data from the Fermilab SeaQuest/E906 experiment.
