Dementia is an incessant neurodegenerative disease that to a degree influences millions of people around the world. Alzheimer’s disease is a major reason for dementia, a term for the decline of memory and cognition, severe enough to impact everyday human performance. According to various studies, Alzheimer’s disease has been found to account for 60 to 80% of dementia cases. Alzheimer’s disease consists of 7 stages with different indicators. As the stage progresses, the patient’s condition worsens over time and the dependency on the caregivers also increase. In this work, an Android application to provide a virtual guide for people with dementia and make tasks easier for caregivers is developed. This application will provide several features such as Family and Relationship information, Location Tracking using the Android location provider API, medication and exercise reminders with the alarm manager class, memory quizzes, and music therapy using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). The novelty of this application is the connection with volunteers in the vicinity using a spatial index for emergency assistance in situations where the nurse cannot physically attend to the patients. The aim of the application is to provide an integrated solution for counseling in all aspects of life in every stage of dementia.

The most frequent cause of auto accidents is poor driving. This occurs frequently when a driver is intoxicated or sleepy. Driver fatigue is often acknowledged as a significant factor contributing to collisions as 20% of the accidents occur only due to drowsy driving or tiredness. It is hoped that the technological advancements can at least partially, avoid these thanks to technological improvements. The research put froth utilizes an IR sensor, to measures and regulates eye blinking. The infrared waves that reach the eyes are sent using an IR transmitter. The reflected infrared rays from an eye are picked up by the IR receiver. If the eye is closed, the result is to raise the alarm. Also, the pulse sensor is used to alert people by sending SMS in case of any health issues to the driver. In this study, eye blink of the driver is monitored to prevent accidents during drowsy driving. Here, a single eye blink sensor is installed in a vehicle to alert the driver during fatigue. A Global Positioning System (GPS) is also used in the proposed design to send location alerts.

An improvised solution for the impact of IoT-enabled real-time traffic management on emergency vehicle response times has been presented in this research. The study was conducted using real-time traffic data and IoT sensors to monitor the flow of traffic and the movement of emergency vehicles. The results show that the integration of IoT technology improve emergency response times by enabling more efficient navigation of traffic. The benefits of IoT-enabled traffic management for emergency services include reduced response times, improved safety, and a more efficient use of resources. The results of this study have implications for the wider adoption of IoT-enabled traffic management in cities and other areas and suggest the need for further research in this area to explore the potential benefits and limitations of this technology.

In the era of technology, people are using smartphones for their everyday needs, like entertainment, communication, and education needs. Various organizations are developing mobile apps for their needs and using them for different purposes. Faculties, students, staff, and other stakeholders of Sylhet Agricultural University expressed surging demand for a mobile app for the university website. In the 21st Century, it was the need of the hour where everyone wanted mobile interactable sites. ICT individuals at the university undertook the mobile app development process and started with a decision that the mobile app should not replicate the full content of the university website. The research analyses the requirements and decide to decorate the app with the basic information such as various statutory bodies, faculty, department, different offices, news, and notice of the university that are necessary for the university stakeholders. Because of data integrity, pieces of information on the app are fetched from the university website automatically using API. As the information updates on the website, the data becomes visible to the app as well, subject to the internet connection. The key feature of this mobile app is that it can use previously saved materials when there is no access to the internet and eventually doesn’t have a chance to access the latest content without internet.

The research has proposed a system to automatically detect the number plate and recognize it using optical character recognition method. Before taking a image of the number plate, the developed system first recognizes the car. Image segmentation is used to recover the portion of an image that contains the vehicle identification number. Character recognition is accomplished using an optical character recognition technique. This involves using matching techniques to check whether the car plate image matches the data in the database. The warning sign will show when authenticity is verified, and the car will then be permitted to enter the designated area. Real-time video is captured to evaluate the system's functionality, and Python is used to create and simulate the system. Due to its promising nature the suggested method is employed in the automated vehicle authentication in universities in future.

Quick medical assistance in case of accidents aid in saving the lives. The main aim of this developed system is to alert the nearby hospital about the accident and to provide immediate medical aid. The system has various sensors such as accelerometer, vibration and tilt, to identify the variations in the vehicle. The system makes decision based on the value of the sensors and sends the information through smartphones connected to the Raspberry pi module. The vehicle security system uses a fingerprint recognition for ignition of vehicle engine to ensure the protection of the vehicle from unauthorized access.

Sewage system maintenance is a cumbersome task that has to be carried out properly since it is inevitable. Fatality occurs every year due to improper and inadequate facilities available as well as dangerous gases emitted during sewage disposal. Sewage workers are unaware of the dangers posed by a sudden attack of poisonous gases since these gases are odourless and if exposed for a prolonged period of time might lead to respiratory issues. To deal with this issue, an effective sewage monitoring and alert system is required. The proposed project continuously monitors the poisonous gases and oxygen present in sewage as well as the sanitation workers' health. This effectively reduces the impact of the poisonous gases on the sewage worker.

Path tracing or simulation in robotics Operating System ROS is very popular in highly dynamic research projects. The Matplotlib’s 3D path tracing is a graphical 3-axis plotting tool with real- time data visualization over a very long range. The data’s are generated in all 3 dimensions from accelerometer readings for visualizing the ground station navigation system. The communication between the two radio modules are established and the data’s are transmitted between the two modules that are placed remotely. The data can be plotted in real-time in 3 Dimensions and then, visualized. The main goal of path tracing is to make a comparative study between 3 axis displacement as any kind of irregular plot or trace can be a sign of a dangerous situations that can occur. There are many other significances of this concept that can be used in navigation systems.

Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a dynamic architecture that employs a variety of applications for making networks more adaptable and centrally controlled. It is easy to attack the entire network in SDN because the control plane and data plane are separated. DDoS attack is major danger to SDN service providers because it can shut down the entire network and stop services to all customers at any time. One of the key flaws of most SDN architectures is lack of susceptibility to DDoS attacks with its types like TCP flooding, UDP flooding, SYN flooding, ICMP flooding and DHCP flooding for detecting those kinds of attacks. The machine learning algorithms are widely used in recent years to identify DDoS attacks. This research utilizes Decision Tree Classifier for detection and classification of DDoS attacks on SDN. The Forward Feature Selection technique is also used in the research to select the best features from the dataset and from that dataset the data are employed to train and test the model by Decision Tree Classifier Algorithm. The decision Tree Classifier technique is a supervised method used to forecast desired values of observations using rudimentary machine learning decision rules derived from training data. Based on the accuracy of decision tree techniques, in future, a hybrid learning model will be designed for detecting the Distributed Denial of Services in an SDN environment with high accuracy and a low false negative rate.
