Metric trees in the Gromov--Hausdorff space Gromov- Hausdorff空间中的度量树

Using the wedge sum of metric spaces, for all compact metrizable spaces, we construct a topological embedding of the compact metrizable space into the set of all metric trees in the Gromov--Hausdorff space with finite prescribed values. As its application, we show that the set of all metric trees is path-connected and all its nonempty open subsets have infinite topological dimension.

Free locally convex spaces and $L$-retracts 自由局部凸空间和$L$-缩回

We study the relation of $L$-equivalence defined between Tychonoff spaces, that is, we study the topological isomorphisms of their respective free locally convex spaces. We introduce the concept of an $L$-retract in a Tychonoff space in terms of the existence of a special kind of simultaneous extensions of continuous functions, explore the relation of this concept with the Dugundji extension theorem, and find some conditions that allow us to identify $L$-retracts in various classes of topological spaces. As applications, we present a method for constructing examples of $L$-equivalent mappings and $L$-equivalent spaces and in particular, we show that the properties of being an open mapping or a perfect mapping are not $L$-invariant.

Let ${mathbb{V}}$ be a separable real Hilbert space, $k in {mathbb{N}}$ with $k < dim {mathbb{V}}$, and let $B$ be convex and closed in ${mathbb{V}}$. Let ${mathcal{P}}$ be a collection of linear $k$-subspaces of ${mathbb{V}}$. A point $w in B$ is called exposed by ${mathcal{P}}$ if there is a $P in {mathcal{P}}$ so that $(w + P) cap B ={w}$. We show that, under some natural conditions, $B$ can be reconstituted as the convex hull of the closure of all its exposed by ${mathcal{P}}$ points whenever ${mathcal{P}}$ is dense and $G_{delta}$. In addition, we discuss the question when the set of exposed by some ${mathcal{P}}$ points forms a $G_{delta}$-set.
