Upper thoracic spine mobilization and the Ergon technique are used to treat mechanical neck pain in order to speed recovery, promote tissue healing and improve range of motion. There have been a few studies discussing the Ergon IASTM and upper thoracic spine mobilization in patients with neck pain, but none compared the aforementioned techniques in the treatment of mechanical neck pain. This clinical trial was conducted on a sample of thirty participants (16 females and 14 males) with mechanical neck pain who were randomly divided into two groups: Upper Thoracic Spine Mobilization (n=15) and Ergon Technique (n=15). Twelve sessions were delivered to all participants over a four-week period, three days per week. Before and after treatment, pain severity was measured by Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), cervical spine's active range of motion was measured by using a Cervical Range of Motion (CROM) device, and cervical spine's disability index was measured by Neck Disability Index (NDI). The statistical analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. Both groups showed improvement in neck pain, reduced functional disability and increased cervical range of motion after treatment. The upper thoracic spine mobilization group had significantly better results in terms of cervical left lateral flexion and left rotation ranges of motion, while the Ergon Technique group had significantly better results in terms of improvement of neck pain and reduction in functional disability. In conclusion, the upper thoracic spine mobilization was effective at increasing the range of motion of the cervical region, while the Ergon technique was effective at relieving pain and dysfunction in the cervical spine in patients with mechanical neck pain. Currently, an increase in sedentary behaviors has been observed in young people due to changes in the motivations and interests of the students. For this reason, it was proposed to know the factors that influence the perception of students about the importance of Physical Education (PE). For this, there were 780 Primary and Secondary students from the Region of Murcia, who were administered the Attitudes towards PE Questionnaire (CAEF). Regarding the results, it was observed that the variables that mainly influence the perception of the importance of PE are the good relationship with the teacher of the area, the increase in mood after the classes and the belief that the contents are valuable. Therefore, it is concluded that PE must have a curriculum with valuable and useful content, establish a good classroom climate and use a methodology that encourages the perception of competence and belonging to the group. Actualmente se ha observado un aumento de conductas sedentarias en los jóvenes debido a cambios en las motivaciones e intereses de los estudiantes. Por este motivo, se planteó conocer los factores que influyen en la percepción del alumnado sobre la importancia de la Educación Física (EF). Para ello, se contó con 780 estudiantes de Primaria y Secundaria de la Región de Murcia, a los que se les administró el Cuestionario de Actitudes hacia la EF (CAEF). En cuanto a los resultados, se observó que las variables que principalmente influyen en la percepción sobre la importancia de la EF son la buena relación con el docente del área, el aumento del estado de ánimo tras las clases y la creencia de que los contenidos son valiosos. Por lo tanto, se concluye que la EF debe tener un currículo con contenidos de valor y útiles, establecer un buen clima del aula y usar una metodología que fomente la percepción de competencia y de pertenencia al grupo.

The study of liability in sport takes place through the prism of legal liability, which is understood as a legal relationship between an entity that has violated the law, on the one hand, and the state, represented by its bodies or other organizations authorized to determine liability for the offender, on the other. Liability can be defined as a mechanism for redistributing costs based on the idea of fair reimbursement; the costs of the person whose rights have been violated are transferred to the person through whose fault the violation occurred. The aim of the study was to examine the issues of regulation of liability for health injuries in sports. The methodology of the chosen problem was a systematic approach, including dialectical, formal-logical and structural-functional methods and other general scientific research methods, as well as special legal methods: comparative law and formal law. According to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, a crime is a socially dangerous criminal act (action or omission) committed by the subject of the crime. In case of harm to human health during sports, the perpetrators should be prosecuted in cases where one of the participants in the competition intentionally grossly violates the established rules of sports competitions. The objective of this research was to find out the impact of sports programmes based on early specialisation on the chances of becoming an expert, the increased likelihood of suffering injuries and/or dropping out of sports practice in the development of young players in team sports. A systematic review was conducted, using the PRISMA statement to study and analyse the field of sport specialisation in team sports. A literature search was conducted in PubMed, ScienceDirect and Web of Science databases, as well as other research sources. Finally, 54 potentially relevant studies were selected. The results indicate that early sport specialisation is linked to high injury rates and a higher risk of sport abandonment, which makes it a hindering element in the development of young athletes. In contrast, a varied sport practice can be a beneficial element for sport development, especially in young subjects whose participation in team sports is deeply linked to the level of interest and motivation they can generate. El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer la incidencia de los programas deportivos basados en la especialización temprana sobre las posibilidades de llegar a ser experto, la mayor posibilidad de sufrir lesiones y/o abandonar la práctica deportiva en el desarrollo de jóvenes jugadores en los deportes de equipo. Se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática, donde se empleó la declaración PRISMA para estudiar y analizar al ámbito de la especialización deportiva en los deportes de equipo. Se realizó una búsqueda de la literatura en las bases de datos PubMed, ScienceDirect y Web of Science, así como en otras fuentes de investigación. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of different treatment approaches (pressure biofeedback training of the abdominal drawing-in maneuver with and without prone hip extension, whole-body vibration, and core stability exercises) on lumbar hyperlordosis, respiratory muscle strength, and balance in children with diplegic cerebral palsy. Forty-five children, ranged in age from 8 to 12 years, were randomly allocated into three groups (A, B, C). All children underwent a specialized exercise program for one hour, three days/ week for three successive months. In addition, group A received pressure biofeedback training, group B underwent the whole-body vibration, and group C underwent the core stability exercises. The lumbar lordotic angle, active lumbar and hip range of motion, respiratory muscle strength, and balance were measured before and after three months of treatment. We found a significant decrease in lumbar lordotic angle along with a significant increase in active lumbar and hip range of motion of group A and group C post-treatment (p < 0.001) in favor of group A, while non-significant change was found in group B (p > 0.05). A significant improvement was recorded in the three groups' respiratory muscle strength and stability indices in favor of group B (p < 0.001). Pressure biofeedback training and core stability exercises are the best adjunctive to traditional physical therapy to improve lumbar hyperlordosis, respiratory muscle strength, and balance together in children with diplegic cerebral palsy. Moreover, whole-body vibration is the best adjunctive to improve respiratory muscle strength and balance.

Mohamed","doi":"10.6018/sportk.528801","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.6018/sportk.528801","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of this study was to compare the effect of different treatment approaches (pressure biofeedback training of the abdominal drawing-in maneuver with and without prone hip extension, whole-body vibration, and core stability exercises) on lumbar hyperlordosis, respiratory muscle strength, and balance in children with diplegic cerebral palsy. Forty-five children, ranged in age from 8 to 12 years, were randomly allocated into three groups (A, B, C). All children underwent a specialized exercise program for one hour, three days/ week for three successive months. In addition, group A received pressure biofeedback training, group B underwent the whole-body vibration, and group C underwent the core stability exercises. The lumbar lordotic angle, active lumbar and hip range of motion, respiratory muscle strength, and balance were measured before and after three months of treatment. We found a significant decrease in lumbar lordotic angle along with a significant increase in active lumbar and hip range of motion of group A and group C post-treatment (p < 0.001) in favor of group A, while non-significant change was found in group B (p > 0.05). A significant improvement was recorded in the three groups' respiratory muscle strength and stability indices in favor of group B (p < 0.001). Pressure biofeedback training and core stability exercises are the best adjunctive to traditional physical therapy to improve lumbar hyperlordosis, respiratory muscle strength, and balance together in children with diplegic cerebral palsy. The present study is a systematic review focused in sport managers’ profile and the main purpose is to map the literature of sport managers’ competencies and tasks from January of 2000 to January of 2019. The search was made on EBSCO, B-on, Web Science and Scopus using the following keywords: ‘sport managers OR sport directors OR sport administrators’, ‘sport managers AND qualifications’, ‘sport managers AND responsibilities’, ‘sport managers AND traits’, ‘sport managers AND roles’, ‘sport managers AND competencies’ and ‘sport managers AND characteristics’ in peer reviewed articles and dissertations. After applying the inclusion criteria, 65 studies were selected. Sport managers are, predominantly, men in their thirties and forties, with a degree in physical education. A sport manager must have competencies such as leadership, integrity, specific knowledge, resource allocation, authority’s delegation, employees’ motivation and innovative thinking to accomplish the most important and more time consuming responsibilities like planning/organization, coordination/evaluation or information. El presente estudio es una revisión sistemática centrada en el perfil de los gestores deportivos y el objetivo principal es mapear la literatura de las competencias y tareas de los gestores deportivos desde enero de 2000 hasta enero de 2019. The primary aim of this research was to study visual spatial attention and its impact on the accuracy of the diagonal spike in volleyball. A total of 20 volleyball players of Baghdad participated in this study. The sample was homogeneous in terms of height, weight and age of the players. The tests used in the present study were: 1) Visual Spatial Attention Test. 2) Volleyball Spike Test. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher concluded that visual spatial attention has a significant impact on the accuracy of the diagonal spike in volleyball.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of special exercises according to the difficulty of the training unit on developing some physical abilities and on the achievement of a 200-meter run. The present study had a parallel group, experimental design. In the present study, 200m sprinters constituted the population and research community. The study was conducted in the clubs of the province of Baghdad. A total of 12 runners were recruited as the sample for the study by the intentional method. The participants were divided into experimental group and control group using odd even method. Considering the findings of this study, the researchers concluded that the adoption of special interval training exercises according to the difficulty of the training unit is useful to develop the physical abilities and the performance of 200m sprinters.

The aim of this study was to identify the reality of the level of professional pressures during the use of e-learning among teachers of the Faculties of Physical Education and Sports Science in Baghdad. A cross sectional study was carried out and the descriptive approach was adopted in a survey method on a sample of 120 faculty members of the Faculties of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in the Universities of Baghdad Governorate (Baghdad Al-Jadriya, Baghdad for Girls, Al-Mustansiriya). The two researchers used the “Occupational Stress Scale” as the main instrument for measurement in the study and it was applied to the study sample for a period from 18/04/2021 until 27/05/2021. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS, version 26) was used for data analysis. The results showed that the members of the teaching staff in the Faculties of Physical Education and Sports Sciences have a high level of occupational pressure (p < 0.05), with an increase of the undesirable level of pressure on relationships and communication with members of the staff teaching and students. In conclusion, faculty members in the Faculties of Physical Education and Sports Sciences have an undesirable level of occupational pressure and a high level of stress when they use e-learning method of teaching. It is necessary that universities and colleges, when organizing the schedule and duties assigned to the faculty members who teach their students online, take care to reduce the burdens that lead to an increase of occupational pressures, as this has a negative impact on them.

The purpose of this paper was to identify the effect of an educational curriculum according to the strategy of mental maps on kinetic abilities and offensive game plans in football in university students. The present study had an experimental design. The present study was conducted on the students of the fourth stage of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon for the academic year 2020-2021, within the time frame of October 2021 to January 2022. The study was conducted in the stadium of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Kufa. A total of 40 students were recruited as the participants of the study. Participants were allocated into two groups, experimental group and control group, by simple random allocation method (raffle) with n=20 in each group. Based on the findings of the study, the researchers concluded that the educational curriculum, according to the mental maps strategy, significantly contributed to the development of the kinetic abilities under discussion.
