The latest research from the Giving USA Foundation reveals that charitable giving in the United States grew by 1.9% in 2023, reaching a total of $557.16 billion in current dollars. That's a record high by that measure, although after inflation is taken into account, the picture is not as rosy. Per the foundation's research, inflation‐adjusted giving declined by 2.1% for the year.
