Researchers have begun to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on African Americans and other minority groups. Multiple factors have together contributed to create a disproportionate impact of the pandemic on African Americans and other minorities. As a result, African American-owned businesses have had an 8% worse impact from COVID-19 compared to White-owned businesses. The current review was conducted to investigate the degree to which the COVID-19 pandemic affected minority-owned hospitality businesses. The review was conducted to fill a gap in the existing literature in which a synthesis of existing data suggesting the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on minority- owned hospitality businesses was found lacking. Using a modified systematic literature review, I conducted an analysis of literature containing data relevant to understanding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on minority-owned hospitality businesses. After determining the scope of the review to extend to the hospitality industry, minority demographic, and minority-owned businesses, I used databases including Google Scholar, Scopus, and JSTOR with key terms including Covid-19 pandemic, hospitality industry, and minority-owned businesses. Findings showed that African American-owned businesses experienced the harshest blowback across all minority-owned businesses during the lockdown that occurred following the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite more African American-owned businesses applying for federal assistance, a smaller percentage of them received such assistance compared to White-owned businesses. Only 8% received full assistance, while 23% received no assistance whatsoever. The findings from the review supported previous research showing discrimination on a systematic level. Although small businesses owned by minorities added 1.3 million jobs within the U.S. economy between 2007-2012 during the Great Recession, they have received less support and faced systematic discrimination in availing financial assistance. It is imperative, in nation full of potentially successful entrepreneurs of color, to create an environment committed to helping them compete and succeed on an even playing field.

Background: Heart rate variability is a marker of the cardiac autonomic system and is associated with the mortality of cardiovascular disease. Decreased physical exercise may induce a lower level of heart rate variability and poor cardiac function in postmenopausal women. This review aimed to address the relationships between physical exercise and heart rate variability and to provide clinical evidence for the formulation of exercise prescriptions for improving cardiovascular function in postmenopausal women. Method: Authors searched 5 databases including PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science to identify eligible articles between database inception and May 13, 2023. All randomized controlled trials of exercise intervention for postmenopausal women were included, only English articles and without date restrictions. The standardized mean differences of heart rate variability time domain parameters and frequency domain parameters were calculated, comparing postmenopausal women who did and who did not exercise via random-effects meta-analyses. The quality of the evidence was assessed with the Cochrane risk of bias tool. This study was registered on PROSPERO, number CRD42020208037.

This research aims to find out the alternative settlement of bad credit disputes over the deed of granting mortgage rights. In principle, someone who wants to borrow money from a bank must have sufficient collateral to guarantee his debt. Mortgage rights on land are given as collateral for one's debt, in the form of encumbrance on land rights and objects that are legally integrated with the land. Not all loans banks provide borrowers can be repaid fully under the agreement. Poor credit repayment from debtors can be due to carelessness, lack of good faith, or due to their incompetence. To prevent losses for the lending bank so that debtor customers can continue paying their obligations. This study aims to identify alternative methods of resolving conflicts of mortgage rights related to bad credit. The author uses a normative juridical approach method by referring to the legal standards applicable in Indonesia. In order to analyze the existing problems, normative juridical analysis is the method used. Bad credit disputes that affect the granting of mortgage rights can be resolved through alternative dispute resolution. Compared to litigation, alternative dispute resolution can result in a significant settlement of bad credit by prioritizing a win-win solution where the parties' free will is maintained.

Identity crisis has become a global concern in recent years. Several authors have researched around the subject in the field of psychology, social works and public health. Currently, several studies are being conducted to discover new methods to handle the issue of identity crisis especially among youths in secondary schools. As a result, this paper appraises prevalence of identity crisis among youths in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, Nigeria. The paper adopted correlational survey design to appraise the pattern of relationship between self-efficacy, parental supports, peer influence, internet usage and sense of identity among youths. The paper studied two hundred and sixty youths (121 Males and 139 Females) between 15-25 years (x = 13.05 and SD = 14.2) were drawn from youths in Ikenne LGA using simple random sampling technique in four stages. Results showed that youth sense of identity has negative relationship with self-efficacy (r = -.441 and p<.05) and positive relationship with peer influence (r = .253 and p<.05). The was no significant relationship with parental supports and internet usage on identity crisis. Multiple regression analysis showed that independent variables contributed 21% of the variance in youth’s identity crisis. Self-efficacy was most potent (? = -409; t (258) = .6963; p<0.05) contributing in predicting identity crisis. The paper concluded that identity crisis is mostly prevalent among the youths in Ikenne due to parental neglect as a result of busy schedule at work. Also, social workers are suitable intermediaries between youths who have lost their identity and their self-discovery. The paper recommends that secondary school administration in Ikenne LGA should make efforts toward educating their students in aspect managing frustration and lack of concentration which are identified behaviours that affect the youths. Social workers should educate parents and caregivers on the causes and effects of identity crisis in other to help reduce the rate of occurrence among the youths.

Employment in Nigerian is pervasive and is further compound by the present economic recession in which many companies have downsized and increasing the number of unemployed. r millions of jobless and unskilled Nigerians. Driven by the hash economic climate many unemployed and unskilled Nigerians particularly youths have seen riding commercial motorcycle as a source of survival. Despite providing daily means for earning a living for many unemployed people, motorbikes have also become an instrument for committing crimes by many youths with high propensity for criminal behaviour. In many urban and rural areas where commercial motorcycles operate, motorbikes provide easy means for criminals to escape without police detection and apprehension. Many commercial motorcyclists have been involved in petty crimes such as hand bag and telephone snatching, and more dangerous crimes such as armed robbery, rapes, kidnapping and suicide bombing. This paper examines how unemployment propels jobless people into using commercial motorcycle to commit crime.
