Background and Study Aim. A healthy and active lifestyle is becoming one of the most talked topics amongst people from all over the world. Being more physically active has never been more important than today as both jobs and leisure activities are becoming increasingly sedentary. Humans have moved from being very physically active to being less and less active each year. The aim of our study was to find out the degree of satisfaction and the frequency of performing leisure activities among students of the Police Academy in Bratislava, Slovakia. Material and Methods. For the purpose of our study, we have used a short version of International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) that consisted of 7 questions. The survey was attended by 439 students of the Police Academy located in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. Our study group was divided into two groups according to their gender, the first group consisted of 249 female students and the second o 190 male students. The overall average age of our students of 21.55 years. Our survey was carried out at the end of the summer semester in June 2022. Questionnaire was carried out online and created through Google forms. The results of the questionnaire were later compared based on the participants gender and analysed using homogeneity test of two independent samples, two-sample t-test with equality and inequality of variances and the chi-square test at the level of significance p < 0.01 or p < 0.05. Results. When compared, male students in general were more active than female students - median of 30 minutes a week. Male students engaged in vigorous intensity physical activity on average more than 15 minutes a week compared to female students. Moderate intensity physical activity difference was even bigger (23,09 minutes a week) in favour of male students, these results have proven to be also statistically significant at the level of significance p < 0.01. Female participants of our study were slightly more active in walking physical activity, 2.92 minutes a week on average, but the difference between our two studied groups have not proven to be statistically significant at the level of significance p < 0.05. Conclusions. Here in our study, we’ve looked at physical activity, physical activity levels and how much students attending Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava engage in them. By comparing our survey participants to adults from other countries we can conclude that both our male and female participants have shown higher physical activity levels.

Background and Study Aim. The physical training of experienced athletes is essential to maintain their high level of performance. However, excessive physical exertion can lead to negative consequences on the athletes' health. The aim of this research is to identify the specific influence of physical exertion in the special physical training process of experienced judo athletes aged 19-21 and to provide recommendations for improving their training process, with a focus on ensuring athlete safety and maintaining their health level. Materials and Methods. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 20 trainers-teachers, including four experienced coaches from Ukraine, to obtain information on the features of special physical training of judo athletes aged 19-21. The questionnaire included questions related to the trainers' opinions on individualization of the training process and the connection between special physical training and technical training. Results. The study found that the trainers-teachers emphasized the importance of individualization of the training process and the tendency towards narrow specialization. They also closely connected the process of special physical training of highly qualified judo athletes with technical training, while taking into account the athletes' individual capabilities to ensure their safety and health. Conclusions. In planning the educational and training process of experienced judo athletes, it is necessary to prioritize the athletes' safety and health level through individualization of physical activity. The study recommends a combination of special physical training with technical training, while taking into account the athletes' individual capabilities, to improve the performance of experienced judo athletes aged 19-21.

Background and Study Aim. Achieving optimal health and performance in judo athletes requires a customized approach to training and evaluation. This study aimed to assess the level of special endurance and functionality of experienced judo athletes for optimal health and performance. Material and Methods. Thirteen experienced judo athletes were tested using a dummy throw with a deflection for 4 minutes, with the number of throws and heart rate dynamics assessed during and after the exercise. Heart rate indicators were recorded using a heart rate sensor and a specialized computer program. Results. The athletes completed the maximum number of throws in the first minute, followed by stabilization. Heart rate gradually increased during the test, reaching a maximum of 184 beats per minute at the end of the test. These findings suggest that the dummy throw test can be used to assess the level of special endurance in judo athletes, while heart rate indicators can be used to characterize their current functional state. Conclusions. A customized evaluation of special endurance and functionality provides valuable insights for optimizing health and performance in judo athletes. By tailoring training programs to individual needs, coaches and trainers can help judo athletes achieve their full potential while minimizing the risk of injury and burnout. Overall, this study highlights the importance of a personalized approach to training and evaluation for maintaining optimal health and performance in judo athletes.

Background and Study Aim. Physical fitness is crucial for the success of athletes in competitive sports. However, often the impact of physical exertion on athlete health is overlooked. The study aims to investigate the relationship between the level of physical fitness and competitive performance of judokas aged 19-21. Material and Methods. Judo athletes (n=30) participated in the study. The study used video recordings of competitive bouts of 30 judokas aged 19-21 in different weight categories. The athletes were tested for various physical fitness indicators, including strength endurance, coordination abilities, speed-strength abilities, endurance, speed abilities, and flexibility. The SPSS 22 program was used to conduct correlation analysis. Results. The study showed that throws Ippon Seoi Nage, Seoi Otoshi, Kо soto Gake, O Uchi Gari and Ko uchi gar, Ko Soto Gari were the most commonly used techniques across all weight categories. Lighter weight categories favored a throw over the head (Sumi Gaeshi, Tomoe Nage) with an emphasis on speed and coordination, while heavier weight categories favored bending throws (Ura nage) that required strength and flexibility. Conclusions. Based on the study findings, a list of recommended technical judo techniques for each weight category has been proposed. These recommended techniques are closely related to the athletes' level of physical fitness, and coaches can use them to optimize training programs for young judokas.
