Network Calculus Theory and Application: A New Graduate Course for Engineering Students 网络微积分理论与应用》:面向工程专业学生的新研究生课程

With the development of modern networks, the quality of service guarantee has become even more important than before. However, various new types of traffic and heterogeneous network architecture make it quite challenging to evaluate the quality of service, such as delay and reliability. Therefore, a novel analysis method is needed to solve this situation. Network calculus is a theory used to analyze the queueing problems in networks, which is the main content to be taught in this graduate course. Before network calculus theory is introduced, the classical queueing theory will be taught. Then, the mathematical fundamentals of network calculus, such as min-plus algebra and cumulative arrival/service process, will be introduced. Next, two branches of network calculus, i.e., deterministic network calculus and stochastic network calculus, will be introduced separately, including the definition of deterministic/stochastic arrival curve and service curve, as well as important theorems, such as delay theorem, flow aggregation theorem, server concatenation theorem. After the theoretical knowledge, practical content will be taught in two parts. First, students are encouraged to establish system models based on their graduate research topics, analyze the service guarantee of their models, and present their work in class. Second, a traffic data collection platform will be taught, and students will collect various traffic data and analyze traffic characteristics based on network calculus theory. Based on the feedback from students during the past three years, students are satisfied with this new course because it focuses on frontier technology and the teaching activities are well-organized.

The course "Appreciation of Russian Film " is one of the general education curriculums of Shihezi University. Taking Shihezi University as an example, this paper introduces the background of this course, its teaching content, and its essential role in general education. Via analyzing and summarizing questionnaire survey results, the interest orientation of students' Learning was obtained, and ideas for further improvement and optimization of the course construction and reformation were put forward.

The Role of Middle-level Leaders in Improving Schooling 中层领导在改善学校教育中的作用

Middle managers have a significant and pivotal function in the administration of educational institutions and in collaborating with educators to foster initiatives to enhance school performance. Nevertheless, the precise nature of their responsibilities could be more explicit and complex. The cultivation, reinforcement, and enhancement of their leadership skills are vital. The primary impetus behind this research endeavor was to enhance comprehension and comprehensively examine the responsibilities and impact of middle leaders within educational institutions. Initially, a comprehensive examination of existing literature about middle leadership was undertaken. Additionally, an analysis has been conducted on the obstacles, complexities, and expectations faced by middle leaders in their professional roles, and appropriate recommendations have been provided to address these issues. In conclusion, we provide a concise overview of the whole text.

The undergraduate thesis stage plays a vital role in realizing talent cultivation goals, serving as an indispensable requirement for students to graduate and be awarded their bachelor's degrees. Moreover, it provides crucial support for meeting graduation requirements. This article presents a comprehensive approach to process management for undergraduate thesis (design) based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) concept. The OBE concept emphasizes enhancing students' goal achievement abilities by strengthening the monitoring of task completion quality and evaluating goal attainment at each stage. The approach encompasses four key stages: topic selection, guidance process, evaluation methods, and thesis defense. Lastly, the effectiveness of this approach will be discussed. It has been observed that the implementation of the OBE concept has yielded favorable outcomes in practical work.

Investigation on the Current Situation of Family Education Anxiety in Three Areas of Inner Mongolia under the Background of Double Reduction 双降背景下内蒙古三地家庭教育焦虑现状调查

Recently, parental education anxiety has gradually become a hot social issue. Since the implementation of the Double Reduction Policy, parents' children's educational anxiety has shown new characteristics.In order to understand the current situation of family education anxiety after the implementation of the Double Reduction Policy and to analyze the characteristics of parents' anxiety with different Demography characteristics, a self-designed questionnaire was used to distribute questionnaires and collect data through the questionnaire star platform. We randomly select some parents of primary and secondary schools in Hailar, Chifeng, and Tongliao as the survey subjects for testing. We investigated the parents' view of the Double Reduction Policy, the impact of the Double Reduction Policy on families, and the level of family education anxiety in three dimensions and used the online platform SPSSUA (Version 22.0) to conduct data analysis. Among the 364 households surveyed, about 56% of parents admitted to having children's educational anxiety. There were significant differences in the three dimensions of the survey between the two groups with different self-awareness. Five factors, including children's academic years, academic performance ranking status, type of family location, average monthly income level of families, and parents' weekly work hours, impact group anxiety. Among them, the ranking status of children's academic performance significantly impacts parents' educational anxiety state.
