Light nuclei production in a multiphase transport model for relativistic heavy ion collisions 相对论重离子碰撞多相输运模型中的轻核产生

Based on an improved multiphase transport (AMPT) model, which gives a good description of proton production with a smooth quark matter to hadronic matter transition in relativistic heavy ion collisions, we study deuteron and triton production from the coalescence of nucleons at the kinetic freezeout of these collisions. For Au+Au collisions at center-of-mass energies $sqrt{s_text{NN}}$ from 7.7 GeV to 200 GeV available at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), we find that the yield ratio $N_text{t}N_text{p}/N_text{d}^2$ of proton, deuteroncom{,} and triton is essentially a constant as a function of collision energy. Our result confirms the expectation that without a first-order quark to hadronic matter phase transition in the produced matter or its approach to the critical point of the QCD matter, this yield ratio does not show any non-monotonic behavior in its collision energy dependence.

Effect of the doubly magic shell closures in Sn132 and Pb208 on the mass distributions of fission fragments of superheavy nuclei Sn132和Pb208双幻壳闭合对超重原子核裂变碎片质量分布的影响

In this Rapid Communication, we try to settle down the controversial predictions on the effect of doubly magic nuclei $^{132}mathrm{Sn}$ and $^{208}mathrm{Pb}$ on the mass distributions of fission fragments of superheavy nuclei. For this, we have calculated the mass distribution of fission fragments of superheavy nuclei from $^{274}mathrm{Hs}$ to $^{306}122$ within the dynamical four-dimensional Langevin approach. We have found that, in ``light'' superheavies, the influence of $^{208}mathrm{Pb}$ on the mass distributions is negligibly small. In ``heavy'' superheavies, $Z=120--122$, the (quasi)symmetric peaks and strongly asymmetric peaks at fragment mass ${A}_{F}$ close to ${A}_{F}=208$ are of comparable magnitude to ${A}_{F}=132--140$.

We extend our Monte Carlo generator of global configurations in nuclei to include different spatial distributions of protons and neutrons in heavy nuclei taking into account the difference of spatial correlations between two protons, two neutrons and proton-neutron pairs. These configurations are used for building an event generator for proton-heavy nucleus collisions at the LHC for final states with a hard interaction in the channels where cross section for p-p and p-n scattering differ. Soft interactions are taken into account in the color fluctuation extension of the Glauber algorithm taking into account the inherently different transverse geometry of soft and hard p-N collisions. We use the new event generator to test an interesting observation of Physics Letters B745 (2015) 73-78, that the ratio of W$^+$/W$^-$ production rates in p-Pb collisions should significantly deviate from the inclusive value for peripheral collisions due to the presence of a neutron skin. We qualitatively confirm expectation of Physics Letters B745 (2015) 73-78, though for a realistic centrality trigger, we find the effect to be a factor of two smaller than the original estimate.

Experimental study of Cl35 excited states via S32(α,p) S32(α,p)对Cl35激发态的实验研究

Presolar grains originating in oxygen-neon novae may be identified by their sulfur isotopic ratios compared with theoretical estimates. These ratios depend on reliable $^{33}$S($p, gamma$)$^{34}$Cl and $^{34}$S($p, gamma$)$^{35}$Cl reaction rates. The latter rate has recently been computed based on experimental input, and many new excited states in $^{35}$Cl were discovered above the proton threshold. The experimental $^{34}$S($p, gamma$)$^{35}$Cl rate was found to be 2 - 5 times smaller than the theoretical one, and the simulated $^{34}$S/$^{32}$S isotopic ratio for nova presolar grains was thus predicted to be smaller than that of type II supernova grains by up to a factor of 3.7. The present study was performed to confirm the existence of these new resonances, and to improve the remaining uncertainties in the $^{34}$S($p, gamma$)$^{35}$Cl reaction rate. Energies and spin-parities of the $^{35}$Cl excited levels were investigated with an Enge split-pole spectrograph using the $^{32}$S($alpha, p$)$^{35}$Cl reaction. Differential cross sections of the outgoing protons were measured at $E_{alpha}$ = 21 MeV. The existence of the newly discovered states are largely confirmed, although a few states were not observed in this study. The spins and parities of several $^{35}$Cl states were assigned tentatively for the first time. The present $^{34}$S($p, gamma$)$^{35}$Cl experimental thermonuclear reaction rate is consistent within 1$sigma$ with the previous evaluation. However, our rate uncertainty is larger due to a more realistic treatment of the experimental uncertainties. The uncertainty in the present rate is up to a factor of 3.5 at nova temperatures. We recommend future work to focus on the unknown properties of four excited states of $^{35}$Cl at 6643 keV, 6761 keV, 6780 keV, and 6800 keV.

The latter rate has recently been computed based on experimental input, and many new excited states in $^{35}$Cl were discovered above the proton threshold. The experimental $^{34}$S($p, gamma$)$^{35}$Cl rate was found to be 2 - 5 times smaller than the theoretical one, and the simulated $^{34}$S/$^{32}$S isotopic ratio for nova presolar grains was thus predicted to be smaller than that of type II supernova grains by up to a factor of 3.7. The present study was performed to confirm the existence of these new resonances, and to improve the remaining uncertainties in the $^{34}$S($p, gamma$)$^{35}$Cl reaction rate. Energies and spin-parities of the $^{35}$Cl excited levels were investigated with an Enge split-pole spectrograph using the $^{32}$S($alpha, p$)$^{35}$Cl reaction. Differential cross sections of the outgoing protons were measured at $E_{alpha}$ = 21 MeV. The existence of the newly discovered states are largely confirmed, although a few states were not observed in this study. The spins and parities of several $^{35}$Cl states were assigned tentatively for the first time. The present $^{34}$S($p, gamma$)$^{35}$Cl experimental thermonuclear reaction rate is consistent within 1$sigma$ with the previous evaluation. However, our rate uncertainty is larger due to a more realistic treatment of the experimental uncertainties. The uncertainty in the present rate is up to a factor of 3.5 at nova temperatures. Evidence for α-cluster structure in Ne21 in the first measurement of resonant O17+α elastic scattering 共振O17+α弹性散射首次测量中Ne21中α-团簇结构的证据

The first study of resonances in O17+α elastic scattering was carried out using the thick target inverse kinematics method. The data were analyzed in the framework of an R-matrix approach. Many α-cluster states were found in the Ne21 excitation region of the 9–13 MeV excitation energy including the first observation of a broad l=0 state in an odd-even nucleus, which is likely the analog of the broad 0+ at 8 MeV in Ne20. The observed structure in Ne21 appeared to be strikingly similar to that populated in the resonant O16+α scattering in Ne20. The results are also useful for refinement of data on an O17(α,n) reaction important for astrophysics.

A set of differential cross section of the three-body $^{2}$H($d$,$dp$)$n$ breakup reaction at 160 MeV deuteron beam energy are presented for 147 kinematically complete configurations near the quasi-free scattering kinematics. The experiment was performed at KVI in Groningen, the Netherlands using the BINA detector. The cross-section data have been normalized to the $^{2}$H($d$,$d$)$^{2}$H elastic scattering cross section. The data are compared to the recent single-scattering approximation (SSA) calculations for three-cluster breakup in deuteron-deuteron collisions. Confronting the SSA predictions with the experimental data shows that SSA provides the correct order of magnitude of the cross-section data. The studied energy is probably too low to meet the SSA assumptions which prevents better accuracy of the description.
