As a cultural asset, animation IP has high commercial value. With the development of streaming media, many influential commercial animation IPs have appeared on online platforms. This paper employs a case analysis methodology to scrutinize Chiikawa, a comic that has garnered popularity across social media platforms in both China and Japan in recent years. By delving into its character symbols, satisfaction of consumer demand, marketing strategies, and providing a succinct overview of its evolution within the Chinese market, the paper elucidates the significance of animation IP communication on emerging media platforms, as well as the underlying factors contributing to its widespread appeal. Through empirical analysis of current social characteristics, it is believed that IP content should conform to public preferences and meet audience needs. It should not only meet aesthetic needs in appearance, but also resonate with people emotionally, help them resist the pressure of fast-paced life, and meet spiritual needs. In terms of marketing, IP should utilize new media platforms and expand multi-channel operations to capitalize on cultural resources and build a complete IP industry chain. This study provides a reference for subsequent related research reports, guides the creation of animation IP, and gives suggestions and inspirations in the context of the current situation of Chinas animation IP business operation model.

Urban inequality is a pressing issue that can significantly hinder a city's development. It is essential to recognize the importance of establishing gender equality within a city to ensure sustainable urban progress. This comprehensive study thoroughly investigated the urban planning perspective on creating gender-equal cities, specifically emphasizing successful models from Vienna and Barcelona. Furthermore, the study conducted a detailed comparative analysis of these two cities in contrast to Shanghai, delving into the fundamental principles that have made Vienna and Barcelona successful in promoting gender mainstreaming and enhancing gender sensitivity in urban planning. The research also critically examined Shanghai's current approach to urban planning, pinpointing areas that necessitate improvement in promoting gender equality. By drawing from the experiences of Vienna and Barcelona, the study offered practical and actionable recommendations to enhance gender equality within Shanghai's urban planning framework, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and fairer urban environment for all of its residents. The insights gained from Vienna and Barcelona are invaluable and should be shared and applied to various cities, taking into account their distinct and unique circumstances.

Within the framework of event theory, this study attempts to study the influence of participatory culture on fan loyalty of idol groups using BangTan Sonyeon Dan (BTS) as an example by means of interviews and questionnaires. Based on the results of existing studies, the study found that participatory culture basically presents a positive influence on fan loyalty. Unexpectedly, for one, interaction among fans does not largely reflect a dissipating effect on the negative emotions generated by negative news. For two, fans would be more inclined to consume products that are both meaningful to their personal lives and beneficial to the idols themselves. In conclusion, the study found that despite the differences in the pathways of influence between fan-fan interactions and interactions with idols themselves, the participatory culture of idol groups as a whole still showed a facilitating effect on fan loyalty. At the same time, fans still maintain a certain degree of consumption rationality in participatory culture, demonstrating the cultural advantage of participatory culture in guiding fans to mitigate impulsive consumption. This study empirically links the relationship between participatory culture and fan loyalty, and provides a model for the development of idol groups.

With the booming development of the pet market in China, smart devices for pets are becoming increasingly diverse. While wearable smart products for pets, particularly pet cats, have begun to take shape, existing products often overlook the emotional needs between owners and pets while meeting basic pet needs. This paper proposes a design methodology for wearable devices for pet cats based on emotional design theory. By constructing interview outlines and questionnaires, this study delves into pet owners' emotional needs. Analyzing the survey results reveals user expectations for wearable devices for pet cats, providing a basis for subsequent designs. Finally, based on design scheme guidelines, this paper proposes the functional points of wearable devices for pet cats based on emotional design theory.

Nine years of compulsory education, a concept introduced by the Chinese government in 1986, provides complimentary education by the state from primary school (Grade 1-6) through junior high school (Grade 7-9) across the entire society. This paper reevaluates the widely accepted view that Chinas nine-year compulsory education policy is universally beneficial. It aims to shed light on the challenges and limitations of the policy, particularly in rural areas, and seeks to move beyond the uncritical acceptance of this educational system. Employing a comprehensive methodological approach, the analysis integrates an extensive review of both domestic and international literature, media reports, and a rigorous evaluation of data reliability. Through comparative and refined analytical techniques, the paper presents trustworthy findings. The results indicate that the policy does not uniformly serve all families, especially in rural contexts where the costsincluding material, living, and opportunity costsoften surpass the benefits. These expenses can deepen economic hardships for some households, although, at a broader level, the policy significantly boosts educational quality and societal awareness, providing a strong foundation for China's future growth. The conclusion suggests that despite its successes in enhancing literacy rates and access to education, the policy requires targeted adjustments to effectively address the persistent economic and gender disparities in rural communities.

The Wu dialect is widely spoken in Wu-speaking regions of China, which covers a considerable number of English learners. However, the phonetic system of the Wu dialect differs significantly from that of English, which greatly affects the English learning process of Wu-speaking learners, thus attracting numerous researchers to conduct related studies. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of research on the influence of Wu dialect on English phonological learning over the past two decades and presents a selection of twenty-seven papers to explore the theoretical framework, the research methodology, and the specific impacts encountered by English language learners who speak Wu dialect. Among them, the theoretical discussion centered on language transfer theory, Fleges Speech Learning Model and Bests Perceptual Assimilation Model; the research methodology consisted of qualitative analysis and empirical study; and the focus was placed on positive and negative transfer effects, i.e., the challenges posed by the absence or presence of phonological differences in the Wu dialect to the learners of English. The findings reveal significant segmental and suprasegmental influences in English pronunciation acquisition, with segmental challenges including differentiation of consonants and incomplete articulation of vowels, and suprasegmental challenges including stress placement, intonation patterns, and phonological rhythm. In addition, the discussion highlights the need for more empirical studies to supplement qualitative analyses, the consideration of regional variations within Wu dialect, and the exploration of teaching strategies informed by research findings. Therefore, the paper advocates for future research focusing on regional differences, deeper exploration of suprasegmental influences, integration of research into teaching practices, and diversified research methods.

The Greatest Showman, a 2017 film directed by Michael Gracey, focuses on the first circus in history, its founder, and its members under the background of The Great Depression. Therefore, this paper primarily examines the dialogue and lyrics in the film, and how these elements help to portray the out-group characters and describe what they have gone through. The data source of this research is The Greatest Showman (2017), which includes scripts, dialogues, and lyrics from the film soundtrack. Based on the content of the film, the authors carefully read the script credits and the soundtrack, subsequently selecting data relevant to the research topic and consulting secondary sources (research articles and audience reviews). By recording and analyzing relevant data, this paper relates them to the mechanisms of social identity theory. The paper finds that the film uses monologues, dialogues and title tracks to reflect the positions and emotions of out-group individuals, all of whom are discriminated against because of who they are, all of whom have good character traits, and all of whom dare to change the status quo, build shelters for themselves and ultimately take pride in their uniqueness and accept their out-group identity.

As a form of contemporary philanthropic organizations, celebrity foundations have emerged as a new entity in the field of social charity. Supported by the personal identity and influence of celebrities, the development of celebrity foundations is significantly influenced by their fame and impact. Compared to traditional foundations, celebrity foundations possess broader influence and quicker fundraising capabilities. However, Chinese celebrity foundations also encounter challenges during operation, such as excessive reliance on celebrity effects, insufficient management capabilities, lack of transparency, and insufficient specialization. In response to these challenges, celebrity foundations should improve in the following aspects: firstly, celebrity foundations should moderately separate from celebrities and establish their own brand and credibility. Secondly, internal governance structures need further enhancement, with increased supervision and standardization of fund utilization and project management, as well as collaboration with professional teams to provide more specialized support for celebrity foundations. Lastly, talent recruitment and cultivation should be emphasized to establish a specialized team belonging to the foundations brand, thus enhancing the foundations management level and operational efficiency.
