Networking of Multi-Robot Systems: Issues and Requirements 多机器人系统的网络化:问题与要求

: The advancement of Multi-Robot Systems (MRS), Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has led to their increasing use for large-scale monitoring. The research in this area has focused on developing advanced sensing and networking protocols, as well as specialized system topologies and embedded computer and communication platforms. This has resulted in a need for multidisciplinary projects to develop appropriate algorithms for data processing, communication, and control across diverse fields. The primary focus of this article is the collaborative features of MRS. It provides a brief overview of recent advancements in this vital domain, with a comparative focus on numerous recent theoretical and practical contributions. The article also identifies and discusses focus areas, such as a classification of MRS systems and the issues and requirements of MRS networking protocols. Additionally, references to applications in various domains, including the environment, agriculture, emergency scenarios, and border patrol, are highlighted. Finally, an integrated system model based on WSNs and UAVs is presented, along with an optimality study.

A Snort-based secure edge router for smart home 用于智能家居的基于snort的安全边缘路由器

Cybercrimes are rising rapidly with the increasing use of the internet of things (IoT)-based gadgets at home. For instance, the Mirai-BotNet infected and compromised many IoT-based devices and routers, creating a zombie network of robots that can be controlled remotely. There is a need for a cost-effective, secure router for a smart home. This paper investigates and proposes a Snort-based secure edge router for smart home (SERfSH), which is resilient to many cyberattacks. SERfSH automatically generates Snort content rules by combining the extracted string, location information, header information, and sequential pattern. The experimental setup of SERfSH consists of a Raspberry Pi 4 model, an ESP32 microcontroller, six IoT devices, and a malicious actor machine. The proposed SERfSH is tested for 15 attacks, and the results show that 14 attacks were detected and 12 attacks were mitigated.
