We provide data concerning 39 species of Gelechiidae collected in Calabria and Basilicata regions, Italy. Twenty-three species are new for the studied area and six new for southern Italy. Most interesting are the records of Cosmardia moritzella (Treitschke, 1835), recorded only in the Alps so far, Aroga pascuicola (Staudinger, 1871), Oxypteryx immaculatella (Douglas, 1850), and Helcystogramma lamprostoma (Zeller, 1847), new for the Italian mainland, and Aproaerema cinctelloides (Nel & Varenne, 2012), new for the Italian fauna.

The article deals with the study of host plants of Cameraria ohridella Deschka & Dimic, 1986, especially focusing on Belarus findings. For the first time, Acer saccharinum L., is recorded as a host plant. The cases of damaging other plants by this species as well as relationships of Gracillariidae with the plant family Sapindaceae are summarized.

Las colecciones biológicas juegan un papel importante para el conocimiento de la biodiversidad, debido que son fuentes primarias de información, los lepidópteros son un orden megadiverso y Colombia es uno de los países que presenta la mayor diversidad de este taxón con aproximadamente 3.642 especies (Rhopalocera) registradas hasta el momento. El objetivo de este trabajo fue realizar la conservación de los ejemplares de Rhopalocera depositados en el Museo Laboratorio de Entomología de la Universidad del Tolima, los cuales fueron identificados y sistematizados. Además, se realizó el valor temporal, la cobertura geográfica, el perfil de organización, el índice de salud y las prioridades de gestión del MEN- UT, con respecto a este grupo de insectos. Se identificaron 695 individuos pertenecientes a 229 especies, 137 géneros, 20 subfamilias y seis familias, provenientes de nueve departamentos, donde el 95,54% de los registros corresponde al Tolima. Las especies más abundantes en la colección fueron Danaus gilippus (Cramer, 1775) seguida de Heliconius eleuchia (Hewitson,1854). En cuanto al perfil organizacional se encuentra un alto porcentaje de ejemplares entre el quinto y el sexto nivel; el índice de salud también presenta un alto número de individuos en el nivel cinco. Se registraron 30 individuos que presentan más de 50 años en la colección y 21 nuevos registros para el departamento del Tolima. Estos resultados refuerzan la importancia de las colecciones biológicas para conservar y conocer la diversidad del país.

All species are reported for South Ossetia for the first time. Phtheochroa purana (Guenée, 1845), Gynnidomorpha minimana (Caradja, 1916), Eupoecilia sanguisorbana (Herrich-Schäffer, 1856), Cochylis pallidana Zeller, 1847, Ancylis unguicella (Linnaeus, 1758), A. paludana (Barrett, 1871) (Tortricidae), and Capperia salanga Arenberger, 1995 (Pterophoridae) are found in the Caucasus for the first time. Azanus jesous (Stoll, 1782) is common in arid areas of Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and southern Asia. This first record of the species in Algeria is near the city of Mostaganem, located in the country’s northwest. This discovery supports the biogeographical importance of Algeria to the continent of Africa. This observation would indicate that the species’ distribution range has expanded into northern Africa, where it is probably attracted there by the presence of exotic plants such as Acacia in urban areas.
