The article examines the problems of statehood formation among the Karluks, their political history as part of the Turkic Khaganate, and relations with neighboring Central Asian states. The issues of expanding the limits of the Karluks in the region and their impact on the ethnopolitical situation in Central Asia are studied. This article examines the history of the development of the translation into Russian of the works of Mo Yan - one of the most famous modern writers of China. In 2007, his works began to be translated in Russia, although a wide range of readers have known about Mo Yan in 2012, when he won the Nobel Prize in literature. Since that moment, an average of one work by the Chinese writer has been translated and published in Russia almost every year.

In this article, the author attempted to search for the scientific methods regarding the historiography of the formation of the Karakalpak statehood in the 1920s - 1930s. The form and content of historical and historiographic published works are revealed in the research: theses, articles, the monographs of the researchers of Karakalpakstan of the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. When writing the article, the main method was the method of historicism, which allowed to reveal the dynamics and transformation of the Karakalpakstan historical science in the context of socialist construction in Central Asia. The key concepts of the Karakalpakstan historiography have been systematized. Based on the analysis of available literature and archival data on this issue, the author revealed the historical events that took place in the Karakalpakstan political space.

After the construction of the Chinese Eastern Railway began in 1896, a large number of Russian emigrants appeared in Northeastern China, who were involved in cultural, educational and religious activities in settlements located along the CER. This contributed to the spread of European social and natural science, culture and religion in Northeast China. At the same time, Russian emigrants used Western methodology and philosophy of science to study Chinese politics, economics, history, geography, religion, art and philosophy, contributing to the spread of Chinese studies in Russia and in the world. This activity was aimed at demonstrating authentic Chinese culture to the world, and its representatives acted as cultural intermediaries, promoting cultural exchange between Russia and China and spreading the achievements of Western civilization among the Chinese.

Based on the study, recommendations will be presented for government agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of energy policy and security of the country.

The article based on archival documents and historiographical sources examines the establishment and activity of the Romanian Special Intelligence Service before the war against the USSR started and in the first months of the war. The author analyzes the activity of the Romanian Special Intelligence Service’s structures on the new Soviet-Romanian border established in early July 1940 after the annexation of Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina to the USSR. At Germany's proposal, Romania accepted to participate in the war against the USSR, in order to regain the territories. The role of the Special Intelligence Service in this campaign was to be very important.
