The name of the lamniform shark genus Archaeolamna Li, 1997 is preoccupied by Archaeolamna Siverson, 1992. The new name Lilamna Greenfield, nom. nov. is proposed to replace the junior homonym, resulting in the new combination Lilamna apophysata (Li, 1997), comb. nov.

The tropical sea anemone Cryptodendrum adhaesivum Klunzinger, 1877 is reliably recorded from the coastal waters of Vietnam and the Spratly Islands for the first time. Its presence there is documented by collected specimens, in situ observations during scuba diving, as well as numerous photographs taken during the expeditions of the Vietnam-Russian Tropical Research and Technological Centre, carried out from 2007 to 2021. The main morphological characters for the identification of the species are given and illustrated.

Camponotus megalonyx Wheeler, 1919 is an ant species nesting in rattan and represents the single member of the subgenus Myrmopalpella Stärcke, 1934. Camponotus (Tanaemyrmex) dracocephalus Stitz, 1938, syn. nov., described from a queen with a strangely shaped head is synonymised with C. megalonyx, based on the comparison of a queen from Sabah (Borneo), associated with a worker of C. megalonyx, with the images of the holotype of C. dracocephalus. Comparison of the type of C. dracocephalus with queens of other species from the subgenus Tanaemyrmex Ashmead, 1905 clearly confirms that this species should be excluded from the subgenus. Relationship of the species of the subgenus Myrmoplatys Forel, 1916, also inhabitants of rattans, with C. (Myrmopalpella) megalonyx is briefly discussed. Based on a number of characters of the worker and queen, C. (Myrmoplatys) korthalsiae concilians Forel, 1915 is upgraded to specific rank. An illustrated redescription of C. concilians stat. promotus is given.

A sap beetle of the genus Colopterus, collected in the Estonian village of Vinni near the border between Estonia and the Leningrad Province, was identified as Colopterus sp. For fixation of the taxonomic interpretation established in the PhD thesis by L.E. Watrous without complying with the requirements of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, and in order to avoid probable further mistakes, a neotype for C. truncatus (Randall, 1838) is designated.

The taxonomic status of the genera Acropiesta Förster, 1856, Anommatium Förster, 1856, Erasikea Szabó, 1961 and Pantolyta Förster, 1856 is discussed. The following generic synonymies are proposed: Acropiesta, syn. nov., is synonymised with Pantolyta, and Erasikea, syn. nov., is synonymised with Anommatium. Erasikea nutrix Szabó, 1961, syn. nov., is a junior synonym of Anommatium ashmeadi Mayr, 1904. Three species are described as new to science: Pantolyta dichromia sp. nov. (Russia: European part, Primorskiy Territory), P. melniki sp. nov. (Russia: Kunashir Island; Republic of Korea) and P. simplicior sp. nov. (Russia: Kunashir Island). Eleven previously known Palaearctic species of the former genus Acropiesta and one species of Anommatium recorded in the fauna of Russia are reviewed and illustrated. The following new combinations are proposed: Pantolyta flavicauda (Ashmead, 1893), comb. nov.; P. flaviventris (Thomson, 1858), comb. nov.; P. flexinervis (Macek, 1998), comb. nov.; P. macrocera (Thomson, 1858), comb. nov.; P. micans (Macek, 1998), comb. nov.; P. nigrocincta (Kieffer, 1909), comb. nov.; P. nitida (Thomson, 1858), comb. nov.; P. pseudosciarivora (Macek, 1998), comb. nov.; P. pulchella (Whittaker, 1930), comb. nov.; P. radialis (Hellén, 1964), comb. nov.; P. rufiventris (Kieffer, 1909), comb. nov.; P. sciarivora (Kieffer, 1859), comb. nov.; P. semirufa (Fouts, 1924), comb. nov.; P. seticornis (Kieffer, 1910), comb. nov.; P. subaptera (Ashmead, 1893), comb. nov.; Pantoclis radiatula (Thomson, 1858), comb. nov. Mirolotmia dinocephala gen. et sp. nov. of the subtribe Brachytrupina Saussure, 1877 (the tribe Gryllini) is described from the West Papua Province of Indonesia. The name Cephalogryllini Otte et Alexander, 1983, syn. nov., is synonymised with Brachytrupina. The new genus is very similar in the general appearance to some Australian and American short-winged representatives of this subtribe, which dig burrows, but it differs in the male genitalia with three rather long lobules on the posterior epiphallic part.

Trachypteryx electrica sp. nov. is described from West Kazakhstan. The new species significantly differs from other species of the genus Trachypteryx Ragonot, 1893 in the female genitalia: the ductus bursae is strongly reduced and the diverticulum is absent. Two species of the subgenus Bazaria Ragonot, 1887 of the genus Gymnancyla Zeller, 1848, G. turanica sp. nov. and G. latialata sp. nov., are described from the Kyzylorda Province of Kazakhstan. Christophia constricta sp. nov. is described from the same locality. The male and female genitalia are illustrated for all species described.

A new species of tardigrade from the genus Hypsibius Ehrenberg, 1848 is described from the bottom sediments of a small lake in the central part of Scandinavian Peninsula (Sweden), using an integrative approach, i.e. morphological techniques (light and scanning electron microscopy) combined with a molecular analysis (18S rRNA, 28S rRNA, ITS-2 and COI markers). Hypsibius repentinus sp. nov. belongs to the Hypsibius dujardini species–group and differs from the most similar species of this group in having a second macroplacoid with a definite constriction and in some other morphometric characters. Morphological diagnosis for the Hypsibius dujardini species–group is proposed, and its composition is discussed.
