The corridor landscape that is on a commercial road with a lot of user activity can affect the visual quality of the road corridor landscape. The Sumbersari-Gajayana road corridor is one of the commercial roads that has centers of education to economic activities and services. The problem is the large number of community activities that are not supported by the width of the road resulting in congestion, the number of shop houses for businesses, the lack of parking space, narrow and disconnected pedestrians, the number of banners and billboards, so the combination of these facts disturbs the visual quality of the road corridors, however, some point is precisely the potential that must be preserved. This study used the analysis technique of Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) and Semantic Differential (SD) with 30 respondents who were students of Landscape Architecture. The evaluation results show that the corridor landscape of Jalan Sumbersari-Gajayana has high (T), medium (S), and low (R) aesthetic qualities which have a relationship between SBE and SD analysis techniques on the aesthetic elements of the road corridor landscape.

A river is a natural water flow that flows from upstream to downstream. Sekadau River is located in the middle of Sekadau city to be precise in Mungguk Village, the center of urban growth. The existence of a river flow that crossed the city made many changes occurring in the Sekadau River corridor, this was due to the large number of settlements in the riverbank area which resulted in a decrease in river water quality. The purposes of this study were to analyze landscape conditions, prepare recommendations based on SWOT analysis and spatial analysis. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative with analysis methods, namely SWOT analysis and spatial analysis. The result of this study, based on a SWOT analysis, showed that there was community-based management in coordination with the government, the community and the private sector. Spatial analysis showed that the land cover of the Sekadau River was still dominated by vegetation along the riverbanks, but the problem was in the estuary which had become a settlement. At the bottom of the river, there was a stepping stone corridor, in the middle there was a linear corridor and at the top of the river there was a linear corridor.

The West Bali National Park area is a nature protection area that has a conservation function as well as educational tourism. This has boosted enthusiasm for tourist visits, followed by a rapidly increasing development of tourism support facilities in the TNBB area and its buffer villages. However, these developments have not been properly recorded and mapped, so a mapping process is necessary. The method used in this research was a survey with data collection techniques including direct observation, interviews, and literature study. The stages of this research were the identification of tourism support facilities and objects according to the tourism support facilities criteria indicators, analysis, and synthesis. The GIS analysis process used the nearest neighbor analysis approach to study the distribution patterns formed from the distribution of tourism support facilities in the TNBB area. This analysis process produced recommendations for the development of tourism support facilities based on accessibility factors, distance, and the agglomeration theory approach can be used as a basis for regional development, especially in the elements of facilities and infrastructure in the TNBB area.

Traffic islands are parts of roads that cannot be passed by motorized vehicles, which include sidewalks, garbage dumps, plants, utilities, and signs. The traffic island park Titi Banda in Denpasar and the traffic island garden Dewa Ruci in Kuta have both the function of a traffic island and a landmark. Currently, the two traffic islands are getting additional functions, as a place for recreation and a place to turn around for vehicles. The purpose of this study are to inventory the existing conditions at both sites, compare the two traffic islands, and provide appropriate recommendations to maintain the main function of the two traffic islands. The method used in this research is a survey method, data collection method through observation, questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the traffic island design for the Titi Banda park and the traffic island for the Dewa Ruci park were not in accordance with the references or regulations regarding traffic islands and roads. The existing conditions on both sites are divided into hardscape elements and softscape elements. Comparisons are made on the two traffic islands in terms of pedestrians, entrance access, vegetation and road facilities by referring to regulations, and literature related to traffic island. The recommendations given include the addition of block tiles and warning tiles for pedestrians, entry access, replacement of vegetation, and providing road facilities that can provide a sense of security and comfort for pedestrians and road users. In addition, the recommendations given can maintain the main function of the site as a traffic island and landmark for the island of Bali and increase convenience for road users and pedestrians.

The use of plants in the jogging track and playground area at Puspem Badung is currently disrupting visitor activities because their growth has damaged pavements and facilities. Therefore, the implementation of garden maintenance is very important to be able to maintain the comfort of the visitors and the beauty of the garden. This study aims to evaluate the maintenance of the garden in the jogging track and playground area at Puspem Badung. The research method used is a survey method. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data collection method is done by using observation, interview, questionnaire and literature study. Based on the research results, the implementation of maintenance is carried out independently by implementing an unit and special maintenance system. In the implementation of watering, pruning, silting and weeding activities, the performance of the workers exceeds the ideal working capacity standard except for sweeping and fertilizing activities. The perception of visitors to the physical condition of the garden is considered good, seen from the indicators of assessment including garden's cleanliness, pedestrian's cleanliness, cleanliness of benches, cleanliness of planter boxes, garden safety and the beauty of the garden. Suggestions in this research are that it is necessary to have a written standard operational procedures for garden maintenance and to propose tree pruning activities at least once every three months.

Pekon Hujung is a traditional settlement located in Belalau District, West Lampung Regency and directly adjacent to South Oku, South Sumatra Province that describes the character of the Lampungnese people. The rapid pace of urban development and modernization can shift the cultural values that exist in a traditional settlement and its environment. One of the negative impacts that may arise is the loss of cultural importance in a traditional settlement area. An assessment of the importance or significance of a culture can be carried out as one way of determining an appropriate conservation strategy. This study was conducted to identify and to analyze the key characters that formed Pekon Hujung cultural landscape. The method used in this study is the Cultural Heritage Landscape Assessment (CHLA) which is used to assess the significance or importance of a landscape. The assessment resulted in important value score of 27, which was cllassified as high category of the landscape importance.
