An adaptive enhanced differential evolution strategies for topology robustness in internet of things 物联网拓扑鲁棒性的自适应增强差分进化策略

In this paper, two algorithms enhanced differential evolution (EDE) and adaptive EDE (AEDE) are proposed. The proposed algorithms improve the robustness of the IoT network without changing the degree distribution of nodes. The EDE algorithm maintains the diversity in a solution space through the tri-vector mutation operation and explores the hidden areas. The crossover phase makes the algorithm’s convergence fast towards the global optima. The AEDE dynamically changes the probabilities of multiple operations of the EDE with the changing environment. Also, it maintains the balance between the diversity of solution space and the convergence speed through Copyright © 2022 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd. 2 T.N. Qureshi et al. adaptive probabilities. The EDE performs 7.13%, 31.6% and 41.8% better as compared to GA, SA and HA, respectively. The AEDE outperforms the GA, SA and HA with 11%, 35.3% and 45.4% better efficiency, respectively. The proposed algorithms outperform existing algorithms in terms of robustness and convergence speed.

Data analysis of simulated WoT-based anti-crime scenario 基于wot的反犯罪模拟场景数据分析

This study proposes a novel WoT concept for improving the current police work on anti-terrorist. In order to prove the feasibility and effectiveness, the presented WoT-based police rescue squad force (RSF) concept is modelled and simulated by a Monte Carlo simulation. The current RSF and WoT-based are two alternatives that are analysed for the comparison. The simulation results show that a significant difference between the current RSF and WoT-based exists. The information gained from the simulation reveals the WoT-based RSF can support the commander's decision makers in performing the anti-terrorist task with less risk, less cost with high effectiveness. This study makes an exceedingly contribution which the WoT-based RSF concept is viable and can easily improve police performance in anti-terrorist and hostage rescue tasks.

Association between alcohol consumption and telomere length 饮酒与端粒长度之间的关系

Both telomere length and alcohol consumption have an important impact on biological age and carcinogenesis. Researchers have conducted many efforts to study the relationship between alcohol consumption and telomere length yet reached no consensus. In this paper, a meta-analysis is performed and relevant investigation results from previous literature are integrated. Twenty-one works of literature published between 2000 and 2016, which comprise 27 analyses with a total samples' size of 35,891, meet our screening conditions. Whether the relationship between alcohol consumption and telomere length is significant, this issue varies with study type (cohort, case-control, or cross-sectional) and study population (Europe, Asia, American, or Australia). It is deduced by combined evidence that alcohol consumption is associated with telomere length (with Fisher's combined p-value = 3.52E-8 and Liptak's weighted p-value = 8.24E-3). In the future, the consistent standardised quantifications of alcohol consumption and telomere length will avail further aggregation of the evidence from various studies.

A quadratic fusion estimating model based on the clustering kernel for real-time data in web of things 基于聚类核的物联网实时数据二次融合估计模型

Real-time data processing is a very important part of data processing in the web of things (WoT). The devices in WoT collect data and provide real-time information. The accuracy of the collected data is critical to provide valid results. Many existing methods are devoted to modifying filter algorithms. However, little attention is devoted to the inner relationship of data and data accuracy. In the present study, a quadratic filter model based on the clustering kernel is presented. First, the common filter method is used. Second, the clustering algorithm is adopted to deliver the clustering result. The attractor of the class is gained to the clustering kernel. Finally, the quadratic filter is processed according to the clustering kernel. The simulations show that the proposed model can increase the data accuracy.

QoS-prioritised media delivery with adaptive data throughput in IoT-based home networks 基于物联网的家庭网络中具有自适应数据吞吐量的qos优先媒体交付

To maintain network efficiency of a home network, it is crucial to moderately distribute limited data throughput and bandwidth resources to various home devices and services that require different network resource provisions. This paper accounts for QoS differentiation and fairness of network resource allocation which are essential to the design of an efficient IoT-based home media delivery mechanism against network traffic dynamics. Accordingly, our study in this paper proposes a QoS-prioritised media delivery mechanism with adaptive data throughput. This mechanism design includes several functions: assigning weights of relative importance to home service types, adjusting media quality of home services, reducing data workload against traffic congestion, and fairly distributing free bandwidth to prioritised home services. Furthermore, our study fulfills a simplified proof-of-concept implementation in a small-scaled IoT-based home network. Practical experiments can generate real measure data for performance examination. Results show that the proposed mechanism is able to sustain not only QoS differentiation like data throughput and delay, but also fair user satisfaction with comfortable media playing quality.
