ABSTRACT Marine diatrypaceous fungi are associated with many host species, including Avicennia spp., Halosarceia halocnemoides (Nees) Paul G.Wilson, Kandelia candel (L.) Druce, Salicornia sp., Rhizophora apiculata Blume and Suaeda fruticosa (L.) Forssk. Accurate morphological identification of individual taxa of this family is difficult, as previous classifications generally lack sequence data. We provide a detailed account of all known marine diatrypaceous taxa and determine their phylogenetic and morphological relationships. A novel genus Halocryptovalsa Dayarathne & K.D.Hyde, gen. nov. is established to accommodate Halocryptovalsa salicorniae Dayarathne & K.D.Hyde, sp. nov., and Halocryptovalsa avicenniae, comb. nov. (synonym of Cryptovalsa avicenniae). Three novel species Cryptosphaeria avicenniae Devadatha & V.V.Sarma, sp. nov., Cryptosphaeria halophila Dayarathne & K.D.Hyde, sp. nov., and Diatrype mangrovei Dayarathne & K.D.Hyde, sp. nov., are introduced from mangroves. Halodiatrype is amended with asexual morph characters.
新属Halocryptovalsa Dayarathne & K.D.Hyde, gen. 11 .被建立以容纳Halocryptovalsa salicorniae Dayarathne & K.D.Hyde, sp. 11 .和Halocryptovalsa avicenniae, comb.。

ABSTRACT Three Puccinia Pers. nom. sanct. species (Puccinia deutziae (Dietel) Fraiture & Vanderweyen, comb. nov., Puccinia longicornis Pat. & Har. and Puccinia phyllostachydis Kusano) have been collected in Brussels and around, on cultivated bamboos. The first and the third ones are new for Belgian mycoflora. The specimens are described and illustrated. Various notes are added, including new data concerning morphology and hosts, as well as comments on two hyperparasitic fungi (Eudarluca caricis (Fr.) O.E.Erikss. and Lecanicillium muscarium (Petch) Zare & W.Gams) and a mycophagous insect (Mycodiplosis sp.) feeding on them. An analysis of the available data on the distribution of the three species shows that they are all very rare in Europe, unless they have only remained unnoticed. An identification key is proposed to Puccinia species on bamboos in Europe.

ABSTRACT Collection and examination of decaying wood samples of Avicennia marina (Forssk.) Vierh. from Pondicherry mangroves, India, resulted in the discovery of a novel monotypic genus Vittaliana, based on the type species V. mangrovei, which shares close morphological affinities with Italica Wanas., Camporesi & K.D.Hyde and Phaeosphaeriopsis M.P.S. Câmara, M.E. Palm & A.W. Ramaley. The concatenated LSU, SSU, TEF1α and ITS multigene phylogenetic analyses revealed that the new genus clustered together with Italica as a sister clade but forms a separate branch. In addition, morphological variations in Vittaliana mangrovei Devadatha, Nikita, A.Baghela & V.V.Sarma, gen. nov., sp. nov., such as semi-immersed, globose to subglobose ascomata, 5-6 distoseptate, phragmosporous, yellow to golden-yellow ascospores lacking a mucilaginous sheath and any type of ornamentation, and which are strongly constricted at the 4th septum, clearly delineate the new genus from the other genera in Phaeosphaeriaceae. Furthermore, Vittaliana Devadatha, Nikita, A.Baghela & V.V.Sarma, gen. nov., is saprobic and occurs in marine environment. Morphological characteristics and phylogenetic relation of our new species are discussed by comparing with closely related genera in Phaeosphaeriaceae.

Changes in Functional and Taxonomic Diversity and Composition of Corticolous Lichens in an Altitudinal Gradient in Colombia

The variation of the diversity, composition, functional diversity and species richness of lichen communities along an altitudinal gradient in the Choco biogeographic region of the department of Valle del Cauca, Colombia, is evaluated basing on 2732 samples belonging to 690 species of corticolous lichens. The dominant families were Graphidaceae, Parmeliaceae, Lobariaceae and Pyrenulaceae. Alpha lichen diversity showed a concave pattern with respect to altitude, and the zones at low and high elevations had greater diversity. Beta diversity and total richness estimated by rarefaction for locality presented a bell-shaped pattern, with a peak at 1600 m. Lichen functional traits strongly changed with the increase of altitude. Functional diversity presented the same pattern of total richness estimated by rarefaction. These results suggest that the lichen communities of the altitudinal extremes are structured by a strong environmental filter effect, while in the intermediate zones there is an overlap of functional traits, which is reflected in both a high functional and taxonomic diversity. The results suggest that the functional traits used are good substitutes for species to study altitudinal patterns. The high number of indicator species for the altitudinal extremes implies that in a context of climate change, these zones will be more susceptible to the loss of species.

Two novel species of Russula Pers. subgenus Heterophyllidia Romagnesi, collected from the Dinghushan Biosphere Reserve in southern China, are described and illustrated based on both morphological and phylogenetic analyses of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences. Russula viridicinnamomea F. Yuan & Y. Song, sp. nov. is characterized by the emerald green-tinged buff pileus with undulate and tearing margin, lamellae that are frequently forked, subreticulate basidiospores with interconnected warts, very thick pileipellis with terminal elements that are often inflated to subglobose, and abundant hymenial cystidia and dermatocystidia, all changing to dark grey in sulphovanillin. Russula pseudocatillus F. Yuan & Y. Song, sp. nov. shows close relationship to Russula catillus Lee, Park & Lim, but it differs from the latter by its smaller basidiomata and pleurocystidia, irregular presence of lamellulae, much bigger basidiospores ornamented with higher warts never forming a reticulum, and not gelatinized pileipellis. Both morphological and molecular analyses consistently confirm the distinctiveness of these two novel taxa in subgenus Heterophyllidia. ABSTRACT The apothecial ascomycete family Dactylosporaceae includes saprobes and lichenicolous fungi. In recent studies, the phylogenetic position of this family was unstable within the subphylum Pezizomycotina. The present study provides a stable phylogenetic placement for Dactylosporaceae within the class Eurotiomycetes and we introduce the new order: Dactylosporales Ekanayaka, E.B.G. Jones, Q. Zhao & K.D. Hyde, ord. nov. to accommodate this family. We also introduce two new species: Dactylospora chiangraiensis Ekanayaka, E.B.G. Jones, Q. Zhao & K.D. Hyde, sp. nov. and Dactylospora fusiformis Ekanayaka, E.B.G. Jones, Q. Zhao & K.D. Hyde, sp. nov. to this family and their relationships with other taxa are represented in a multigene phylogeny.

ABSTRACT During independent surveys of microfungi associated with Pinus spp. in the United States and the Czech Republic, a distinct fungus matching the generic concept of Septonema Corda was collected. It is characterized by distinctly ornamented conidiophores, branches, conidia and hyphae, ranging from verruculose to strongly verrucose with prominent rounded warts, yellowish brown to brown or reddish brown in color and forming densely floccose, dark brown or dark reddish brown colonies on pine wood and bark. Conidia are cylindrical or subcylindrical and produced in short, simple or branched acropetal chains. Multigene phylogenetic analyses including nuclear ribosomal (LSU) and protein coding gene (EF1-α) sequence data suggest that both collections are conspecific and belong to the order Mytilinidiales (Dothideomycetes, Ascomycota) where they group distant from other mytilinidiaceous fungi with known septonema-like anamorphs. To provide a proper name based on phylogenetic placement and to possibly circumscribe Septonema sensu stricto, a non-sporulating, putative strain belonging to S. secedens Corda, the generic type, was included in the analyses. DNA sequence data placed this strain within the family Venturiaceae (Venturiales, Dothideomycetes) but morphological examination of the corresponding herbarium specimen revealed that it belongs instead to S. fasciculare (Corda) S. Hughes. Because of the polyphyletic nature of the genus and the unknown phylogenetic position of its type species, our fungus is accommodated in Septonema as a new species named S. lohmanii G. Delgado & Koukol, sp. nov.

CRYPTOGAMIE, MYCOLOGIE • 2019 With this 40th volume, Cryptogamie enters a new era. The most far-reaching change is that Cryptogamie will be published online only and in fast track. Based on the concept that the journal should be freely available for both authors and readers, Cryptogamie has chosen the diamond open access model. At a time when the academic publishing system is more hotly debated than ever, this choice should offer to the community working on cryptogams the opportunity to disseminate research articles, without limitation, on a wide diversity of cryptogamic topics, with a strong focus on ecology and evolution and resulting systematic treatments. As editors of Cryptogamie, we are convinced that research on algology, bryology and mycology still has a long way to go. Even if overall estimates of extant species have tended to level off at around 10 million, the number of cryptogams (especially fungi) still to be described is so high that there is still no consensus in the community. In the context of the current erosion of biodiversity in response to global changes, the impact on cryptogams still needs to be evaluated at various levels, ranging from populations to ecosystems. In the era of high throughput screening, new techniques will most certainly improve our capacity to analyse the dynamics of cryptogam diversity. We sincerely hope that with this new publication model, Cryptogamie will play a full role in fostering our fields of study by disseminating high quality research articles. This transition to a diamond open access model is accompanied by the implementation of a new organizational structure. The title Cryptogamie is now owned by the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, an institution which has been disseminating scientific literature in the field of Natural and Human Sciences since 1802. The new mode of operating the journal under the auspices of the Museum Science Press should ensure that Cryptogamie continues to exist in the long term while respecting its guiding principles. Since its inception in 1980, Cryptogamie has been published by the Association des Amis des Cryptogames (Adac) to promote research on cryptogams. Strongly anchored in the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Cryptogamie was nonetheless a journal open to a wide international authorship with a worldwide biogeographic coverage. It was often seen as complementary to Adansonia, a journal focusing on Pteridophytes and Phanerogamous plants distributed by the Museum Science Press. Now, thanks to a broadening of the editorial policy of the Museum Science Press to extend its scope beyond the collections of the Museum, and to promote the international influence of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, it has been possible for Cryptogamie to be accepted among the periodicals distributed by Museum Science Press. The Association des Amis des Cryptogames, a non-profit organization, was created in 1979 by the researchers of the cryptogamic laboratory of the Musé
