Application of extended evaluation method to the decision-making problems of alternatives 扩展评价方法在备选方案决策问题中的应用

An extended evaluation method for the decision-making problems of alternatives is introsuced by means of extension theory. The extended evaluation method can carry out the decision-making problems of the alternatives based on matter-element models and extended relational degrees. The matter-element model of the desired alternative (ideal alternative) and the matter-element models of alternatives are established according to decision-makers' knowledge or practical experience, and then the alternatives can be ranked by extended relational degrees to choose the optimal one (s). The extended evaluation method can give more sufficient information about the alternatives (proper or/and not proper information) than conventional fuzzy decision-making methods. Finally, it has been expounded through two illustrative examples that the application of the extended evaluation method to the decision-making problem of the alternatives is the effective and the evaluated results will give decision-makers the theoretical guidance to select the alternatives.

Application of LVQ neural network to car license plate recognition LVQ神经网络在车牌识别中的应用

This paper presents a method based on LVQ neural network license plates recognition technology. The LVQ network structure is simple; however, it has stronger robustness and effectiveness. Experiment proves that adopting this method of identifying license plate has high reliability and recognition ability.

Creating a composite road safety performance index by a hierarchical fuzzy TOPSIS approach 采用层次模糊TOPSIS方法建立道路安全性能综合指标

With the increasing public awareness of the complexity of road safety phenomenon, much more detailed aspects of crash and injury causation rather than only crash data (e.g., the number of road fatalities) are extensively investigated in the current road safety research. Safety performance indicators (SPIs), which are causally related to the number of crashes or to the injury consequences of a crash, are thus rapidly developed and increasingly used. Furthermore, to measure the multi-dimensional concept of road safety which cannot be captured by a single indicator, the exploration of a composite road safety performance index is attractive and desirable. This study proposes a hierarchical fuzzy TOPSIS method to combine the multilayer SPIs into one overall index by incorporating experts' opinions. Using the number of road fatalities per million inhabitants as a relevant point of reference, the proposed method has proven valuable as an alternative way in creating a composite road safety performance index for a set of European countries. Meanwhile, it effectively handles experts' linguistic expressions instead of crisp values and takes the layered hierarchy of the indicators into account which is seldom considered in the current index research.

A study of factors affecting usage intention of 3rd generation mobile network service 第三代移动网络服务使用意向影响因素研究

In 2009, China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued 3G (3rd generation mobile network service) licenses in China, which marked China's telecom industry enter into 3G era. Motivating the diffuse of 3G network services has became an important issue for the telecom operators and China's telecom industry. However, very little is actually known about critical factors for consumers' acceptance of the 3G service in China. This study will be based on the Technology Acceptance Model, the Compass Acceptance Model and perceived enjoyment theory to explore the key factors which will influence consumers' acceptance of 3G services. The results show that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, perceived mobility, and subjective norm have significant positive effect on the usage attitude and usage intention toward 3G services, the perceived cost has negative effect on the usage attitude and usage intention toward 3G services, and the usage attitude has positive effect on usage intention toward 3G services. The results have important marketing implications for the telecom operators, and it also provides significance guidance to the future development of China's telecom industry.

Prediction of insoluble dietary fiber content in moso bamboo shoot using near-infrared spectroscopy 近红外光谱法预测毛竹笋中不溶性膳食纤维含量

Near-Infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) was used to determine the insoluble dietary fiber (IDF) content of moso bamboo shoot. A total of 120 samples were separated into two groups, as calibration set and prediction set. The IDF content of samples ranged from 0.046% to 0.209% were measured by AOAC 991.43 method. Spectral data from 400 nm to 1000 nm were collected using the samples. Three types of preprocessing methods including standard normal variate (SNV), multiplicative scattering correction (MSC), and Savitzky-Golay first derivative transformation (S. Golay 1st-Der) were used before the spectral data were analyzed. Partial least squares (PLS) analysis was performed on the calibration set, and calibration models were developed using the different preprocessed spectral data. The root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) and correlation coefficient (r) of the models were calculated to select the best model. The MSC-PLS model with r of 0.950 and RMSEC of 0.008 showed an excellent prediction performance. Thus, MSC model was selected as the best model for prediction of IDF content. The over all results show that NIRS technique coupled with PLS could be applied as an alternative fast and accurate method to determine IDF content in moso bamboo shoot.

Design and implementation for literature search and impact-based summaries 设计和实现文献检索和基于影响的摘要

Based on the PARADISE 1 (Platform for Applying, Researching and Developing Intelligent Search Engine), we construct a literature search engine with a collection of papers in computer network area. Besides retrieval, the system also provides comments and impact-based summaries of a paper. The comments are extracted from the citing papers and the summary is obtained from the paper sentences impacting on the citing papers. The functions give users a comprehensive knowledge about the paper they want. We first illustrate how to get candidate comment sentences from the citing papers and generate the citation contexts. Then a KL-divergence-based model is introduced to score the similarity between the sentences in the original paper and the citation contexts. The higher the score is, the more likely academic impact the sentence has. The top rank sentences are combined together as the paper's summary. The comment sentences are also selected for users to compare the details of related paper work. The experiment exposes the effect of the proposed implementation.

A data driven intelligent system of real estate appraisal 数据驱动的智能房地产评估系统

In real estate mortgages, it is an important issue to evaluate property accurately in order to guard against security risks. Based on the analysis of current China's real estate market, we present the necessity of intelligent system of property value assessment and conduct analyzing and studying by the most widely used market comparison approach. Based on the analyzing work, we design and implement an intelligent appraisal system with the function of data storage, real estate appraisal, data analysis, etc. Designing systems with intelligent evaluation function helps to solve current problems that conclusions of value have been influenced too much by human intervention in the real estate appraisal market.

A fast and reasonable method for community detection with adjustable extent of overlapping 一种重叠度可调的快速合理的群落检测方法

Communities exist in complex networks of different areas, and in some cases they may overlap between each other. Community detection is a good way to understand the structure, function and evolution of complex networks. There have been some methods to find disjoint or overlapping communities. While most of these methods only fit one single situation, disjoint or overlapping. In our opinion, it is unreasonable to find disjoint communities on a network with clear overlap or to find overlapping communities on a network without any visible overlapping node. In this paper, we propose a link partition based method which can find communities with adjustable extent of overlapping according to backgrounds of specific applications or personal preferences. Experimental results on some real-world networks show that our method can find reasonable communities with adjustable extent of overlapping, and is suitable for networks with high densities and large scales.

Web service access control with semantic interoperation 具有语义互操作的Web服务访问控制

As the Semantic Web has been applied in the Web Services to integrate data across different applications with the increasing development of the Semantic Web technologies, it is essential to maintain the security of the organizations involved in the Semantic Web Services. Security is a crucial concern for commercial and mission critical applications in Web-based environments. To guarantee the security of the web services, security measures must be considered to protect against unauthorized disclosure, transfer, modification, or destruction, whether accidental or intentional. Access control is a kind of security measurements to guarantee the service processes, which is defined to allow resource owners to define, manage, and enforce the access conditions for each resource. In this paper, an attribute based access control model with semantic interoperation (SABAC, for short) is proposed to specify access control over attributes defined in domain ontologies. The SABAC model between the service requester and service provider secures the access to the Semantic Web Services.
