Connection between 3D engine unity and microcontroller arduino: A virtual smart house 3D引擎单元与微控制器arduino的连接:虚拟智能住宅

Nowadays, virtual tours are very popular and many people would like to see a virtual house before the acquisition of the real one. The paper demonstrates a creation of a virtual tour for smart home developed in Unity 3D engine. This virtual tour is connected with Arduino microcontroller which has attached several sensors and actuators. These electronic devices react to the events in the virtual tour and vice versa.

Numerical acceleration of data processing using MATLAB for the needs of expert systems 利用MATLAB进行数值加速数据处理,以满足专家系统的需要

The article deals with alternative techniques of accelerating numerical computations. Working with sets of local models requires fast processing of data in form of matrices. These data objects consist of input matrices with different dimensions and their mutual multiplication, division or other basic mathematical operations. The most suitable accelerating technique for these operations is parallelized computation. The technique can be applied in the form of using a large number of simple mathematical coprocessors which are found in modern graphics cards, so called general-purpose computation on graphics processing units, or connecting multiple computers to a distributed computing network called high performance computing cluster. The techniques are later discussed in the article. The article also contains practical comparison of both techniques and evaluation of the possibilities of their application.

Efficient fuzzy control of a laboratory ABS 实验室ABS的高效模糊控制

The paper deals with vehicle braking using the anti-lock braking system (ABS) for a quarter vehicle ABS laboratory model by InTeCo. Based on the nonlinear state-space model of the laboratory plant obtained using first principles, derivation of the transfer function is revisited. Two controller types are designed: a standard PD controller and a fuzzy slip controller. Closed-loop performance is evaluated and analyzed from experiments on the real laboratory plant.

In this paper it is shown that Run-Length Limited Error Control Codes could be constructed from two and more-dimensional Single Parity Check Product Codes in case that at least one of the component codes has even codeword length. The main advantage is that this could be done without any additional redundancy and without modification of the encoding and decoding procedure used for the underlying error control code.

Augmented Reality is a progressive tool in the field of education and learning systems. The subject of the article is the introduction of a learning system focused on the teaching of subjects from the field of industrial automation. However, the modularity and versatility of its design mean that the system is universally applicable to the teaching of any technical subject matter. The solution is built on an open source platform, which underlines the low cost of the system. The use of the A-Frame framework in combination with the AR.js project allows for a combination of learning information and real-world images on commonly available mobile devices in augmented reality to be offered. Additionally, the information is supplemented by real-time process information from the process level control elements of selected subsystems of the complex production line AFB Factory by Festo Didactics.

The issues of electric drives are taught on several subjects within bachelor and engineering studies at the Institute of Automotive Mechatronics (IAMT) FEI STU. For the purpose of teaching and verifying properties of new servo drives control algorithms for speed and position loops, the control structures on interactive simulation models and on the functional drive sample have been implemented. Four types of speed controllers and seven types of position controllers are implemented for speed and positional servo drives. The paper provides an overview of implemented control structures, the principle of evaluation of the quality of the control, a description of the basic features of the implemented tools and an example of the experimental results.

Virtual laboratory with experiment manager implemented into Moodle 在Moodle中实现带有实验管理器的虚拟实验室

The paper demonstrates how existing virtual laboratory can be extended with more experiments thanks to experiment manager. As a base project StarkLab was used which uses JavaScript for both client and server implementations. Based on the previous work, the aim was to propose enhancements and create new activity module for education software Moodle which would simulate different experiments. This module combines variety of technologies, but it is based on JavaScript framework Angular.js. The result of this paper is a module for Moodle which can simulate experiments based on its configuration.

Accelerated implementation of the power method for analysis of electromagnetic fields 加速实现了电磁场分析的功率法

This paper presents two kinds of optimizations to the well known power iteration method for finding dominant eigenvalue of matrices, with regard to special matrices often used in EM field measurement and processing. Based on the statistical analysis of actual measurement data, the first optimization suggests a method for improving the convergence of the power iteration algorithm. The second optimization is implementational: the acceleration of the power method by means of utilising modern vector processing features of the x86-64 architecture is evaluated. Various implementations using different parameters are evaluated by using the Intel MKL library, and a comparative analysis is presented for general and also specific matrices that are important in the EM field measurement and processing.

Balancing arm model for education 教育平衡臂模型

One of the biggest challenge in the field of technical education is not only to raise students interest in the subject, but also to teach practical application of theoretical knowledge in real systems. The area of controller design requires connection with practice. Students should be able to design and verify the controller design not only by simulation but also on a real plant. Experiments on a real controlled plant bring greater interest in the issue and improve understanding and consolidating knowledge. In this paper we present a laboratory model of balancing arm which we designed and built for educational and research purposes. Our model enables to test and verify advanced identification and control methods. We provide a detail description of the model, its physical and technical background and basic measured characteristics. The set of possible experiments is outlined as well.

The area of controller design requires connection with practice. Students should be able to design and verify the controller design not only by simulation but also on a real plant. Experiments on a real controlled plant bring greater interest in the issue and improve understanding and consolidating knowledge. In this paper we present a laboratory model of balancing arm which we designed and built for educational and research purposes. Our model enables to test and verify advanced identification and control methods. We provide a detail description of the model, its physical and technical background and basic measured characteristics.
