A novel bilateral UC-EBG structure 一种新的双侧UC-EBG结构

In this paper a new structure for uniplanar compact electromagnetic bandgap (UC-EBG) is presented that prohibits surface waves in bilateral manner. Firstly, the design of a unitcell is introduced and smaller cell size (0.35λ5.8GHz) is proven. Secondly, the unit-cell is extended in a periodic arrangement (7×5 cells), and functionality is proven through simulation and measurements of scattering parameters of a microstrip transmission line grounded with the periodic arrangement. A stop band with attenuation lower than -10 dB is achieved. Field profiles of frequencies inside and outside the stop band assured visually the claimed functionality proven by scattering parameters.

This paper presents a probe-fed dual-polarized stacked patch antenna integrated in the RFIC package environment for 94 GHz applications. The package is based on multilayer organic technology, so it can be fabricated by high density interconnect (HDI) manufacturers. The antenna has a peak gain of about 3 dBi in the 94 GHz band.

The design of a circularly polarized (CP) microstrip antenna with wide beamwidth working at 1.268GHz is proposed. The wide beamwidth is achieved by introducing a substrate larger than the ground and an annular dielectric superstrate with a metal ring. The effects of the substrate, superstrate and ring on radiation pattern and circular polarization are discussed. Simulation results show the proposed antenna simultaneously has wide beamwidth, high low-elevation gain, symmetrical pattern and good CP characteristics. The minimum axial ratio is 0.34dB. 3dB beamwidth and 3dB axial-ratio beamwidth are 169.12° and 165° respectively.

Layered medium Green's functions (LMGFs) are calculated for a multilayered medium including graphene-like atomically thin layered materials. A spectral integral method (SIM) implemented with LMGFs is used as an exact radiation boundary condition to truncate the computational domain in the finite element method (FEM) to form a hybrid SIM/FEM which is applicable to arbitrary inhomogeneous objects. Numerical studies confirm the accuracy of the method.

A pattern diversity antenna with decoupling ports for LTE mobile phone LTE手机用带去耦端口的模式分集天线

A dual-band antenna with pattern diversity for Long Term Evolution (LTE) is designed in this paper. The size of proposed diversity antenna is only 100 × 55 mm2 which is suitable for mobile phone. The structure is composed of two radiating element positioned close to each other with space less than 0.05 guided wavelengths at 790 MHz. A neutralization line is inserted between two ports to improve isolation which achieves 15 dB in each band. Different radiation patterns are available simultaneously, thereby producing diversity suitable for MIMO systems.

Jagged edged slot array antenna backed by SIW cavity for ISM 2.4 GHz base station ISM 2.4 GHz基站用SIW腔支撑的锯齿边槽阵天线

This paper present a jagged edged slot array antenna backed by SIW cavity for 2.4 GHz base station. Rectangular slot cut on the cavity back face adds jagged edge, which reduces the size, improves impedance matching and broadens the bandwidth. Low loss GCPW is used for realizing 3-dB Wilkinson power divider to excite elements in TE101 mode. The measurements show minimum 10-dB return loss bandwidth of 6.4% and 6.1 dBi peak gain, which are better than previous works. Proposed antenna has advantages such as easy fabrication and convenient integration with planar circuit, high gain, low profile, low loss, good radiation direction, which is fit for ISM 2.4 GHz base station application.

Evidence for the existence of a complex plane pole in the Sommerfeld integral for a source in air over a dielectric half-space and its contribution to the electromagnetic field is addressed. We present a detailed analysis of a simple model whereby a magnetic line source lies on the interface of the air-dielectric boundary. It is demonstrated that a Sommerfeld pole does indeed exist and that this pole can account for surface and lateral waves. It is also shown that a space wave is accounted for by the Sommerfeld integral branch cut.

This paper deals with discussions on a comparison between the radiation patterns for 2-by-2 and for 2-by-6 Dog-bone-pair structure (DPS) array on the surface wave antennas. As a result, a low-profile and vertical polarized planar antenna with a bi-directional radiation pattern for radiating parallel to the ground plane is achieved.

Eigenmode-based method to determine the complex permittivities of layered soil via a borehole ground penetrating radar 基于本征模的钻孔探地雷达测层状土壤复介电常数方法

Borehole ground penetrating radar systems probe at varying depths below the surface to determine soil properties and search for anomalies. Current detection approaches use time of flight estimations or tomography to determine the properties of the soil. These methods use the inaccurate assumption that the signal propagates in a straight direct path from transmitter to receiver in layered soil media. We propose a novel eigenmode method, similar to dielectric waveguide analysis, to estimate soil layer boundaries, permittivity, and conductivity, taking into account the true propagation of waves in layered medium.

Calibration method of phased array based on near-field measurement system 基于近场测量系统的相控阵标定方法

A new phased array calibration method based on near-field measurement system such as NSI is proposed in this paper. By measuring a single element antenna near-field and array near-field, calibration parameter is extracted from measured data with twice Fourier Transformation and once Inverse Fourier Transformation. Both amplitude and phase calibration is realized by this method in a very short time. A calibration example of a one-dimensional array is used to validate the proposed method.

By measuring a single element antenna near-field and array near-field, calibration parameter is extracted from measured data with twice Fourier Transformation and once Inverse Fourier Transformation. Both amplitude and phase calibration is realized by this method in a very short time.
