According to Lemon (1992) the internal matrix concept of repairing perforations has distinct advantages over the surgical method. The procedure is more time-efficient when compared with other methods. The technique requires direct access and visualization of the perforation site in order to place the repair material. It is therefore restricted to perforations in the furcation area, and the straight portions of the root canal.

Percentage cure of cement cured through various thicknesses of Cerec porcelain. 水泥通过不同厚度Cerec瓷固化的百分率。

Highly filled luting resins are recommended for bonding porcelain restorations to tooth structure. This in vitro investigation was undertaken to determine the degree of cure of a 82 per cent filled dual-curing luting resin, after it was cured through various thicknesses of Cerec Vita Mark II porcelain. Infrared, as well as micro-Raman spectroscopy were used to determine the degree of cure of the cement at different time intervals after mixing and exposure to the curing light. The results indicated that Cerec porcelain thicknesses greater than 3 mm adversely affected the degree of cure of the luting resin, even at 24 hours after mixing the cement.

The setting time of glass ionomer cement should be controlled accurately. If it sets too rapidly, the crystal formation is disturbed and broken up during the mixing of the cement. We studied the kinetics of the setting of a glass ionomer dental cement by an electric conductance method and found that the rate of setting is directly proportional to the increase of the power to liquid ratio (P/L).
