Contents: In the second experiment of the series, a total of 217 blood and plasma samples, collected throughout pregnancy and in the four different seasons of the year, were analysed for 23 different cellular, gaseous, and biochemical parameters. Significant changes were noted during the terminal stages of pregnancy in the differential leucocyte count (lymphocytes and neutrophilic granulocytes), during mid-pregnancy in the level of plasma proteins, and, in early gestation, in the glucose concentration of the blood. The erythrocyte volume and mean corpuscular haemoglobin as well as parameters associated with the acid-base balance produced interactions between seasonal and gestational effects, generally indicating the additivity of the heat load and the stress of the terminal stages of pregnancy. Veranderungen in der Blutzusammensetzung wahrend der Trachtigkeit In diesem zweiten Versuch wurden 21 7 Blut- und Plasmaproben, die im Verlauf der Trachtigkeit und zu allen Jahreszeiten den Sauen entnommen worden waren, auf die bereits beschriebenenen 23 Blutparameter hin untersucht. Signifikante Veranderungen im Verlauf der Trachtigkeit konnten fur die Anteile an Lymphozyten und neutrophilen Granulozyten gegen Ende, fur den Phwnaproteingehalt in der Mitte und fur den Blutzuckergehalt zu Beginn der Truchtigkeit ermittelt werden. Wechselwirkungen rwischen der Jahreszeit und dem Trachtigkeitsstadium ergaben sich fur das Volumen und den Hiimoglobingehalt der Erythrozyten sowie fur verschiedene Merkmale des SaureBasen-Gleichgewichtes. Hierbei scheint insbesondere die doppelte Belastung durch die Endstadien der Trachtigkeit wahrend der heqen Jahreszeit eine Rolle zu spielen.
