The adenoid cystic carcinoma of the major and minor salivary glands grows slowly but spreads relentlessly into the surrounding tissues, in particular along the perineural spaces. It may appear clinically to be circumscribed, true encapsulation is lacking and the insidious invasion is demonstrated histologically. Another characteristic of the tumor is a high rate of metastases to distant organs such as lung, bobe or liver. The prognosis relatively poor despite surgical excision. The monomorphic basal cell adenoma of salivary glands is a rare tumor. Its diagnosis is, occasionally, difficult with adenoid cystic carcinoma on the clinical and pathology basis. The authors shown a method for this diagnosis consistent in a morphometric analysis of the neoplasic cells.

A study of 30 stainless steel crowns placed on primary molars by students od Stomatology was performed. The following criteria were taken into consideration: occlusion, proximal contact, marginal extension, marginal adaptation and absence of cement. In spite of the numerous errors in the five criteria studied, only three crowns were considered unacceptable and not clinically functional.

The aim of this study is guessing the needs of periodontal treatment of the population of elderly, residents in Publics Institutions and Private ones in the province of Vizcaya. A total of 565 patients have been explored, using the Community Periodontal Index of Needs of Treatment (CPITN). After the evaluation of the obtained data, we observe that the 91.70% needs a kind of periodontal treatment, 62.64% need basic treatment, at least in one sextant. 13.58% need an advanced periodontal treatment. The severity of the Periodontal Disease increase in proportion to the age and it's bigger in men. 53.10% of the total of the sample were edentate.

Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) constitutes a group of genetic disorders characterized by bullae and vesicle formation on the skin and mucosa. Three cases of recessive EB that may be clinically classified as recessive dystrophic EB (RDEB) are described. In two cases dental treatment consisted of extractions and restorative therapy under local anesthesia. In all three cases individual home and professional preventive programs were established and no new decays were observed during the next years. Dental management under local anesthesia is emphasized by the authors.
