Background & Objectives: Adherence to Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT) is one of the most important challenges during treatment process. The positive effects of MMT will be established in case of appropriate adherence. Present study aimed to investigate MMT adherence and its predictors among addicts referred to rehab centers in Kerman province, south east of Iran. Methods: This research was carried out on 334 patients referred to rehab centers in Kerman province during 2017. Participants were selected through multistage random sampling method. Data collected using a questionnaire contained demographic data, addiction- related data and Persian version of MMT adherence questionnaire which assessed the adherence during the previous 3 and 30 days. Data analyzed by SPSS 19. Results: The mean age of the participants was 39.14 ± 10.93 years and most of them were male (85%). Seventy-three (21.8%) adhered to their treatment, 239 (71.6%) were nonadherent, and 22 (6.6%) highly nonadherent. Older age at the onset of addiction, longer duration of substance abuse, and no history of previous MMT were significant predictor for higher adherence. Interpretation & Conclusion: our study revealed about on fifth of addicts referred to rehab centers had good adherence to MMT. It is recommended the rehab centers to determine the factors associated with low adherence and use effective interventions to reduce them.

Smartphone has numerous benefits and negative effects being between attraction and interdiction. Empirical research provides data collected on populations around the world that indicated different prevalence of addiction or only a problematic use. Prohibitions on smartphone use have occurred in some countries. Managing the addiction risk and dangers imply rules of use, understanding of the contradictory aspects and improving users self-control.

The study employed a concurrent triangulation research methodology where both descriptive cross-sectional survey and naturalistic phenomenology designs have used. Probability and non-probability sampling methods have used to sample 120 adults from 4degree course B. Pharmacy Colleges within Pune University. Data has collected using questionnaires to gather information from the teachers (sample size). The data collected has analyzed using regression analysis with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0. The findings have presented using frequencies, tabled standard deviations, mean differences and percentages. valued relationship, frequent change of residency, long distance travel, travel in group, habit of misbehavior, poor sanitation, low oxygen update environment and poor family patterns (Kastenbaum, 2012). A report study revealed that in India one third of emotional suicide cases have mainly young people assistant professor attending from long distance driver role and principal combined this activity and youth suicide in this case is when a young person generally categorized as someone above age 30 deliberately ends their own life from family function (Machi, 2017). The rates of attempted and completed suicide in long distance attending assistant professor, principal alternate capacity are high. The research reports gender differences in both males and females however, emotional suicidal thoughts are common among females, while experience males are the ones who usually carry out emotional suicides (WHO, 2007).

Screen viewing now begins in infancy with new research finding that the predominance of screen viewing in children aged under two years ‘is high and looks to surge steadily across age groups’ [1]. Associations are emerging between screen dependency disorders such as Internet Addiction Disorder and specific neurogenetic polymorphisms; abnormal neural tissue and neural function. Although unusual neural structural and functional characteristics may be a precondition rather than a magnitude of addiction; there may also be a bidirectional relationship. As is the case with substance addictions; it is possible that intensive routine exposure to certain screen activities during grave stages of neural development may alter gene expression resulting in structural; synaptic and functional changes in the developing brain leading to SDS; particularly in children with predisposing neurogenetic profiles [1]. There may also be compound/secondary effects on neural development. Screen dependency disorders; even at subclinical levels; involve high levels of unrestricted screen time; inducing greater child deskbound behavior thereby reducing vital aerobic fitness; which plays an important role in the neurological health of children; particularly in brain structure and function. Child health policy must therefore adhere to the principle of precaution as a prudent approach to protecting child neurological integrity and well-being [2]. ‘Addiction’ is a term increasingly used to describe the growing number of children engaging in a variety of different screen activities in a dependent; problematic manner. The concept and diagnostic criteria derive from pathological gambling and substance-related addictions and are often based on the amount of time spent engaging in a screen activity; such as playing computer games; and the extent to which this compromises the individual’s overall functioning [2].

We are proposing a generalized approach based on the Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RDS) conceptualization called the Systematic Medical Approach to Reward Transformation (SMARTTM). This system consists of: early pre-disposition diagnosis (even in children) using the Genetic Addiction Risk Score (GARS) [1]; a validated RDS questionnaire [2]; urine drug testing during actual treatment that uses comprehensive analysis of reported drugs to determine compliance with prescription medications and non-abstinence illicit drugs [3]; and adjunctive treatment with a glutaminergic-dopaminergic optimization nutraceutical (KB220) to prevent relapse by induction of dopamine homeostasis [4].
