Court holds denied MCAT accommodations did not warrant intervention
Pub Date : 2026-01-15 DOI: 10.1002/dhe.70030
Eric Lyerly

A recent court case out of Wisconsin underscores that delays in obtaining admission to graduate school due to denied preadmission or testing accommodations do not constitute irreparable harm warranting court intervention. In Kelemen v. The Association of American Medical College, an applicant sued the Association of American Medical Colleges for its failure to approve him for 100% extra time on the January 2026 Medical College Admission Test. As part of this action, the applicant sought an emergency motion for a preliminary injunction ordering the AAMC to provide him with 100% extra time on the January 2026 iteration of the Medical College Admission Test.
