Supramolecular stereochemistry, the stereochemistry between molecules, is not a new phenomenon. However, it has taken both the skill and perception of supramolecular chemists to bring the topic to the fore. How do we describe the spatial relationships between molecules? This essay pulls together examples from Nature and the laboratory to try and answer this question.
