Estimation of band gap and particle size of TiO2 nanoparticle synthesized using sol gel technique 溶胶-凝胶法制备TiO2纳米颗粒的带隙和粒径估算

In this study, a sol-gel method was used to obtain titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Titanium isopropoxide was used as a precursor and Hydrochloric acid was added to adjust the pH of the solution. The sol obtained was dried at 80°C and calcined at 450°C for 3hrs. The UV absorption spectra of synthesized TiO2 sample exhibited strong absorptions below 400 nm. The band gap is estimated using the (αEphot)^2 versus Ephot plots. The band gap was found to be 3.4 eV for the synthesized sample which was larger than 3.2 eV for bulk TiO2. Also XRD analysis was carried out for the sample and the crystal size was calculated by Scherrer's formula. The Scanning Electron Microscope images confirmed the nano size of synthesized particle.

Effectiveness of Pulse Compression Signal Processing Techniques of Radar 雷达脉冲压缩信号处理技术的有效性

Radar Signal Processing is a very important aspect of Radar systems. Pulse Compression Technique is a Signal Processing Technique used in Radar systems to avail the benefits of large range detection capability of long duration pulse and high range resolution capability of short duration pulse. But at the output of Pulse Compression filter, sidelobes are present and these unwanted outputs may mask a weaker target which is present nearer to a stronger target. Hence, these sidelobes affect the performance of the Radar detection system. In this paper, focus is given on which technique achieves less number of sidelobes, narrow mainlobe width, better range resolution and low Peak Sidelobe Level (PSL) under various Doppler shift, multiple target environment and noise conditions,. For these purposes, the three very important Radar Pulse Compression techniques, Polyphase, Biphase and Linear Frequency Modulated (LFM) Codes are discussed in detail. Simulations are carried out to know the effectiveness of the Codes used in the Pulse Compression Signal Processing Techniques of Radar.

This paper discusses the design and implementation of a portable oscilloscope using a Programmable System on Chip (PSoC). The main aim of this paper is to highlight the use and need of a low cost system for student applications. The system was implemented using a PSoC 4 device and a Nokia 5110 LCD screen. Performance metrics were measured and compared to show tradeoffs between cost and performance.

User interaction using ExpertTop analysis 使用ExpertTop分析用户交互

To look for expertise, continuous interaction with expert systems is necessary. In many of these systems, it is complicated for a user to decide whether the answer obtained is from a reliable and authenticated source. To overcome this issue, this study provides a new ranking algorithm, i.e., “ExpertTop” algorithm, which allows users to obtain accurate answers from reliable and authenticated sources. ExpertTop algorithm ranks the system experts based on experience and feedback provided through scores by the users and the co-experts within the system. For classifying the user's query, Naïve Bayesian algorithm is used. ExpertTop algorithm will assist users in obtaining results from reliable and authenticated sources, which will provide them satisfactory experience.

Implementation of tripwire system using video surveillance for Railway platform security 铁路月台安全视频监控绊网系统的实现

Indian Railways are the leading railway system of Asia and the second leading railway system of the world. In the India as compared with other sector railways are the biggest sector, which provides more employment. It is a convenient, chief and efficient public transportation system. As per the recent year the security of station platform is an important issue. CCTV and DVR are the present monitoring equipment to record the passenger behavior on the platform, but could not provide any warning message to a passenger instantly. This paper proposes a new technique by employing a tripwire analytic technique and extracts the motion vectors from the digital compressed video files and then uses these motion vectors to work out, whether or not the passenger is approaching railway. This method detects the passenger's moving direction on the platform without using any additional detecting equipment. If a passenger is approaching the warning line of the railway platform, the proposed method can successfully detect the moving direction of passenger on the platforms and can successfully start the broadcasting warning system to increase the safety on the platform.

Patch antenna for communication devices 用于通信设备的贴片天线

Ultra wide Band Notched Diamond Shaped Patch (DSP) antenna is proposed in this communication. This antenna consists of a diamond shaped patch with rectangular notch inserted in the main body and a microstrip feed line of 50 ohm characteristic impedance is used. Various antenna parameters such as Impedance bandwidth, Return loss and Radiation pattern of proposed antenna are well investigated and studied. The proposed design shows support for 600 - 960 MHz, 2.4 and 3.1-10.6 GHz, which includes some of the bands of GSM, LTE, UMTS and WLAN application. The simulated result shows a return loss of 7.5 dB with stable and omnidirectional radiation pattern among all relevant bands. Finally, the proposed antenna is compared with other three antennas from the same application domain and comparative results are presented. Proposed antenna supports different frequency band to provide various modern day services.

Digital watermarking of video using hybrid techniques 基于混合技术的视频数字水印

In cyber world, protection of copyrighted data is catching its attention due to the availability of immense amount of data and its copies in digital form. An efficient and promising means of protecting these copyrighted data is “Digital Watermarking”. In this paper, hybrid techniques which is a combination of Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) are used. The hybrid combinations which are used to embed a watermark into image or video are DCT-SVD, DWTSVD and DCT-DWT-SVD. The techniques are evaluated by parameters like Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Correlation.

Lossless data compression has been suggested for many space science exploration mission applications either to increase the science return or to reduce the requirement for on-board memory, station contact time, and data archival volume. A Lossless compression technique guarantees full reconstruction of the original data without incurring any distortion in the process. In this study we evaluate the performance of several lossless grayscale image compression algorithms like CALIC.

Comprehensive analysis of various Energy detection parameters in spectrum sensing for cognitive radio systems 认知无线电系统频谱感知中各种能量检测参数的综合分析

The radio spectrum is the most vital resource that needs to be efficiently utilized. The cognitive radio technology has been proposed to overcome the problem of spectrum under utilization. One of the key challenges for a cognitive radio system is to detect the presence of primary (licensed) users over the entire dynamic spectrum at a specific time and a particular geographic location. Thus for effective band utilization cognitive radio provides a unique solution in terms of spectrum sensing techniques. In spectrum sensing, the aim of secondary user is to identify the occupancy or vacancy of a particular radio channel over the entire radio spectrum. This paper presents the performance analysis of energy detection scheme of spectrum sensing. The Energy detector technique is well recognized by its relative ease of implementation. This paper highlights the effects of communication parameters like Signal to noise ratio, number of samples and noise uncertainty on the probability of detection and probability of false alarm of energy detector. The simulations are plotted using MATLAB software.

Image inpainting on satellite image using texture synthesis & region filling algorithm 利用纹理合成和区域填充算法对卫星图像进行图像填充

Image inpainting is an interesting new research topic in image processing, which can be used in many thrust areas, such as computer graphics, image editing, film postproduction, image restoration and special effects and the restoration of old Photographs and damaged film, removal of superimposed text like dates, subtitles, or publicity and the removal of entire objects from the image. In image inpainting, missing (target) regions were filled by structural and textural information of an image in a visually plausible way, also known as image restoration. Though this technique is very useful, it is still a challenging problem in computer vision and computer graphics. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed for removing target objects from digital images. An algorithm was proposed to synthesize the structure & texture as well as fill the hole that is left behind in an undetectable form. An attempt has been made to compute actual color values using exemplar based texture synthesis and region filling method. A number of examples on removing occluding objects from real and satellite images demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed algorithm in terms of both inpainting quality and computational efficacy.
