Effect of Stainless Steel Weld Overlay Deposit on the Hardness of API 5L Pipes 不锈钢焊缝堆焊层对API 5L管硬度的影响

: To improve the corrosion resistance of API 5 L pipe, we applied a weld overlay of UNS S31603 stainless steel as filler metal. To confirm the modified material’s quality, we determine the hardness of the material to be compared to API 5LD specification. We performed Vickers hardness tests at the corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) area and the base metal and heat-affected zone. The tests show that the deposition improves the material hardness by 7.32%. The average Vickers hardness number at the CRA area was 212.32 HV, with 230 HV. Referring to API 5LD qualification, the maximum hardness allowed at the CRA area is 300 HV. Thus, the material processed by weld overlay has an acceptable quality.

Methadone Effects on Frontal Brain Lobe based EEG-P300 Waves in Drug Rehabilitation Patients 美沙酮对戒毒患者额叶脑电图- p300波的影响

: Drug abuse in various parts of the world is increasingly widespread. Therefore, a drug addict should immediately stop and must be recovered. To overcome the symptoms of addiction, the use of methadone as a synthetic drug to replace opioid type drugs is recommended. In this paper, an experiment with rehabilitation patients to identify the effect of the drugs on the brain activity in the frontal, central, temporal, and occipital lobes is proposed. The EEG data collection is performed using 18 channel electrodes, namely central: C3, C4; frontal: Fp1, Fp2, F3, Fz, F4, F7, F8; occipital: P3, Pz, P4, O1, O2; and temporal: T3, T4, T5, T6. In the brain signals record, subjects were asked to comfortably sit in a chair. The recording was done in three sessions: 5 minutes before drinking methadone, 10 and 60 minutes after drinking the methadone, respectively. To reduce background noise and artefacts removal, band pass filter (0.5-50 Hz) and wavelet method were applied, respectively. From this experiment it was found that a decrease in amplitude after methadone intake for average in four lobes is obtained. This results indicates that the use of methadone is highly effect on the entire brainwave activity which indicates a decrease in the level of desire to do activities.

Automatic Plant Health Monitoring Device based on NDVI Analysis using Raspberry Pi for Water Apple Plant 基于树莓派NDVI分析的苹果植物健康自动监测装置

: Indonesia is a tropical country with abundant agricultural products. Therefore, the increase of efficiency and productivity of these crops is needed. Normalized Difference Vegetation Index is an index used to monitor plant health. To find out the NDVI value, a special camera is used to capture Near Infrared (NIR) light spectrum. This special camera is usually used by the professional plantation industry and is very expensive. In this study, we used a raspberry pi and a low cost Pi Noir camera to create a system that can predict the NDVI value of plants. The plant used as testing object is a Water Apple Plant ( Syzygium aqueum ). The result was that the system was able to identify the health of plant based on their NDVI value.

Semantic Search with Combination Impression and Image Feature Query 结合印象和图像特征查询的语义搜索

: In this study we propose a new approach in the semantic image search system, namely the combination of images and impressions query that display results in the form of images that contain impressions. In previous studies, focusing on semantic image search using combining color and shape features into a single query which displays the results of images and impressions, and semantic search impression with mecahanism weighting combination color feature and image feature as query. In this study, the dataset images that we used were 142 Malay songket motifs, and each songket motif contained impressions. In this study, the dataset and image query were extracted into metadata using the Hu Moments Invariant method. Based on the results obtained, we can conclude a success rate of 53% by testing of 10 query combinations.

Visualizing 2016 U.S. Presidential Election: A Twitter Point of View 可视化2016年美国总统大选:一个推特的观点

: Social media is now one of the centres of human activity, especially for the young generation. It has big impact on their lives, including political preference. The 2016 U.S. Presidential election was considered very impactful for the global economy and politics. Mass media and social media conversations are focused on the topic. We collected more than 3.7 million tweets related to the 2016 U.S. election 90 days before the election day, until 7 days after the election day. We visualized the data to see the sentiment, the number of weekly tweets from U.S. presidential candidates, and the words that most people use to describe the candidates. The evaluation result shows that the visualization provides new insight and knowledge for readers.

Body Mass Index Measurement System using Image Processing 基于图像处理的身体质量指数测量系统

: In general, to know the ideal body weight, one must first weigh the weight and measure its height manually. After that do the calculations with certain mathematical formulas so that a conclusion about the condition is ideal body weight. However, it is less efficient especially if applied in bulk. Therefore, the author will create a system with the Image Processing application in real-time using the webcam by specifying the height and width of the body at a specific distance and scale that applies the calculation of the value of the pixel values where the pixel value is as a reference as a variable function to obtain the person's height and weight estimate. Then after gaining height and weight than the calculation of Body Mass Index with Broca formula to be useful as an identification system in effectively measuring human body mass index. This system can be used as a system that can require humans to more efficient time and reduce human error. The output generated from this system is the high value, weight, and BMI values of the person's body whether the condition is ideal or not.

Mapping of Physical and Chemical Parameters of Seaweed Cultivation Area in Geranting Island Waters 热兰亭岛海域海藻养殖区理化参数制图

Seaweed is a marine resource that has very high value. In addition, seaweed cultivation is easy because it takes a relatively short time, requires a small fee, and also the need for seaweed continues to increase. This study aims to determine the relationship between each parameter of both physical and chemical marine seaweed cultivations in the location and present it in the form of maps. The study was conducted in the waters of Geranting Island, Belakang Padang District, Batam City. in this study, parameters were measured directly in the field and using interpolation to determine the value of the surrounding parameters. The parameters in this study are temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, and Visibility. The final results of this study are maps of Physical and Chemical Parameters of the Sea between stations. The temperature obtained from stations 14 ranged from 28.1 29.7 0C, the results of the Visibility ranged from 1.5 2.5 m, the DO values ranged from 21.7 29 mg/L, and for pH values ranged between 4.8 4.9. According to the field data temperature parameters at all stations, and visibility parameters at stations 2, 3, 4 are suitability with seaweed cultivation area. Based on the field data visibility parameters at Station 1, pH, and DO parameters at all stations are not suitable with seaweed cultivation criteria. Information of the distribution of physical and chemical parameter values of the waters in the Geranting Island seaweed cultivation can be seen in the resulting maps.

In addition, seaweed cultivation is easy because it takes a relatively short time, requires a small fee, and also the need for seaweed continues to increase. This study aims to determine the relationship between each parameter of both physical and chemical marine seaweed cultivations in the location and present it in the form of maps. The study was conducted in the waters of Geranting Island, Belakang Padang District, Batam City. in this study, parameters were measured directly in the field and using interpolation to determine the value of the surrounding parameters. The parameters in this study are temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, and Visibility. The final results of this study are maps of Physical and Chemical Parameters of the Sea between stations. The temperature obtained from stations 14 ranged from 28.1 29.7 0C, the results of the Visibility ranged from 1.5 2.5 m, the DO values ranged from 21.7 29 mg/L, and for pH values ranged between 4.8 4.9. According to the field data temperature parameters at all stations, and visibility parameters at stations 2, 3, 4 are suitability with seaweed cultivation area. Based on the field data visibility parameters at Station 1, pH, and DO parameters at all stations are not suitable with seaweed cultivation criteria. Automatic In-between Frames of Snappy Animation using Linear Interpolation 使用线性插值的动态动画的自动帧之间

: This paper aims to study methods for performing transition to produce specific formulas to generate in-between frames of snappy animation pose automatically from two input key frames. By using linear interpolation in looking for a value between given training data set of the referral movement of animation, this study can obtain five formulas. Based on the two given key frames, the formulas can generate in- between frames automatically. The formulas have been applied to a 3D hand model, and the result shows that it can produce in-between frames of snappy animation automatically, and it also reduces the time needed to produce the key frames that are usually made by hand key frame.

Naïve Bayes Classifier for Hand Gestures Recognition Naïve手势识别的贝叶斯分类器

: This paper provides recognizing the five gestures of the fingers using Naïve Bayes method. The electromyography signal (EMG) is utilized to recognize the fingers movement. A myo armband is used to obtain the signal. The average success rate of the system is about 90.61%. To verify the results, the outputs of the system are used to control a mobile robot. The results show that the system is able to control the movement of the robot.
