Polyrhachis illaudata Walker, 1859, is known to have variability in nesting locations ranging from nesting in the ground to nesting under the bark of tree trunks. Here I describe the brood chambers of P. illaudata from the nests encountered beneath the bark of Silver Oak (Grevillea robusta A. Cunn. ex R. Br.) and report the presence of pupal cocoons in this species.

We document a new contribution to the Kuwaiti butterfly fauna: Colotis phisadia (Godart, 1819) was observed for the first time in 2012. This species is confirmed as a new record based on collections and observations made in 2019–2022. The geographic distribution of the species suggests that the butterfly was relatively recently introduced to the country. Causal evidence behind the introduction of C. phisadia following host plant (Salvadora persica L.) usage in Kuwait is discussed. The butterfly occurred in five localities belonging to four governorates. Future study of this species in Kuwait is suggested.

We report the discovery of non-native Zelus renardii Kolenati, 1857, (Leafhopper Assassin Bug) new to Cyprus, and discuss the species' known presence in the eastern Mediterranean. As reported elsewhere, arrival is considered to have been human assisted, the early stages passively carried on imported nursery stock.

Two specimens of the genus Doliopteryx Hesse, 1956, were collected from the southern Iran (Kerman province) by white pan trapping and the new species discovered is named Doliopteryx acuminatis sp. n. This new species is easily separated from the two other Iranian species by its long acuminate first antennal flagellomere. Description and the diagnostic features of Doliopteryx acuminatis sp. n. are presented. A key to species of the genus in Iran is provided.

A new species of large Callomegachile Michener, subgenus Eumegachilana Michener (Megachilini), is described and figured from Larat Island, Indonesia. The new species is superficially most similar to Callomegachile (Eumegachilana) godeffroyi (Friese) from New Britain, Papua New Guinea owing to the orange to orangish setae of the propodeum and first metasomal tergum, but can be distinguished by the absence of such setae on the head and pleura, the form and sculpturing of the clypeus, the form of the labrum, and the smaller size. A key is provided to the subgenera of Callomegachile, with Oxymegachile subgen. n. established for C. duponti (Vachal).
