The purpose of the present paper is to introduce the new class of ω b - topological vector spaces. We study several basic and fundamental properties of ω b - topological and investigate their relationships with certain existing spaces. Along with other results, we prove that transformation of an open (resp. closed) set in aω b - topological vector space is ω b - open (resp. closed). In addition, some important and useful characterizations of ω b - topological vector spaces are established. We also introduce the notion of almost ω b - topological vector spaces and present several general properties of almost ω b - topological vector spaces.

The Angular functions are new mathematical functions introduced by the author, they produce rectangular signals, in which period is function of angles and not of time as the previous functions. Similar to trigonometric functions, the angular functions have the same properties as the precedent, but the difference is that a rectangular signal is obtained instead of a sinusoidal signal, and moreover, one can change the width of each positive and negative alternate in the same period. This is not the case of any other trigonometric function. In other hand, one can change the frequency, the amplitude and the width of any period of the signal at any position by using the general form of the angular function. In this paper, an original study is introduced. Thus, the definition of the original part is presented. The angular functions are also defined. These functions are very important in technical subjects. They will be widely used in mathematics and in engineering domains, especially in power electronics, signal theory, propagation of signals and many other topics. Moreover, the Angular functions are the basis of the Elliptical trigonometry and the rectangular trigonometry in which they are new domains introduced in mathematics by the author.

In the present article, we construct the exact traveling wave solutions of nonlinear PDEs in mathematical physics via the (1 + 1) dimensional modified Kawahara equation by using the following two methods: (i) A further improved (G′/G)- expansion method, where G = G(ξ) satisfies the auxiliary ordinary differential equation [G′(ξ)]2 = aG2(ξ) + bG4(ξ) + cG6(ξ), where ξ = x - Vt while a, b, c and V are constants. (ii) The well known extended tanh- function method. We show that the exact solutions obtained by these two methods are equivalent. Note that the first method (i) has not been used by anyone before.

This paper presents a comparative study of the hybrid models, neural networks and nonparametric regression models in time series forecasting. The components of these hybrid models are consisting of the nonparametric regression and artificial neural networks models. Smoothing spline, regression spline and additive regression models are considered as the nonparametric regression components. Furthermore, various multilayer perceptron algorithms and radial basis function network model are regarded as the artificial neural networks components. The performances of these models are compared by forecasting the series of number of produced Cars and Domestic product per capita (GDP) data occurred in Turkey. This comparisons show that hybrid models proposed in this paper have denoted much more excellent performance than the hybrid models in literature.

This paper presents the peak-valley (PV) segmentation algorithm for the purpose of producing a reliable method of fatigue time series segmentation and statistical segment-by-segment analysis of fatigue damage. The time series were segmented using a piecewise linear representation (PLR) based segmentation algorithm and consecutively the peak-valley (PV) segmentation algorithm. Statistical analysis and fatigue damage calculations were made on each segment and scatter plots were produced based on the relationship between segmental damage and its corresponding kurtosis value. Observations were made on the scatter plots produced by the PV segmentation algorithm to determine the reliability of the data scattering for fatigue data clustering prospects.
