This paper aims to explore the relationship between the performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and working capital management. To make the research robust, accounting performance and measures of market related performance have been used to gauge the SMEs performance. This research utilizes secondary data obtained from the Alternative Investment Market concerning SMEs listed in the London Stock Exchange, to investigate the significance of working capital management towards the performance of SMEs. The working capital management components that were used in research are; account payable period APP, average collection period (ACP), return on assets (ROA) and inventory holding period (IHP). The analysis of data involved the use of regression analysis and extensive use of correlation analysis in order to establish the relationship between working capital management and SME performance. The study established that the use of WCM components such as cash conversion cycle, return on assets, cash conversion cycle and inventory holding period have a significant impact on the performance of SMEs. Further, it was established that when SMEs invested heavily in inventories and receivables, they amassed low profits while investment in current assets in relation to total assets lead to elevated profitability. Hence, it was concluded that there is a compelling relationship between WCM and SME performance.

With the development of market economy in China and the rising incomes of people, the level of consumption is continuously upgrading. Meanwhile, the chain retailing industry which is closely linked to people’s daily life is developing rapidly. All these factors lead to the transformation of economic structure of China. Since the foreign retail enterprises, like wal-mart, Carrefour, and Metro, entering into China, the local chain retailing industry in China is facing more severe pressure due to the competition. In this situation, this paper will compare and analyze the differences between local retail chains and foreign retailing enterprises using the financial and operating leverage indicators .This paper will also put forward some feasible suggestions.

Objective: Analyze the relationship among medical students’ communication skills, communication willingness, environmental perception and the performance of doctor-patient communication. Methods: Based on the qualitative interview and theoretical research framework proposition, the study adopted regression analysis to analyze the reciprocate relationship among different variables and verified related propositions. Results: The score of medical students’ doctor-patient communicative skills is 3.49±0.41. That of communicative tendency is 3.62±0.72. That of environmental perception is 3.46±0.68. And that of communicative performance is 3.60±0.66. In conclusion, single-child medical students in urban areas perform better in communication between doctors and patients. The regression coefficient of communicative skills to performance and tendency is 0.763 and 0.660 respectively. The regression coefficient of communicative tendency to performance is 0.562. The regression coefficient of interaction item between environment perception and communicative skills to communicative tendency and performance is 0.430 and 0.619 respectively. Conclusions: Communicative skill has a positive effect on communicative performance of doctor-patient relationship. Communicative tendency plays a role of intermediary agent between communicative skill and performance. College students’ consciousness of physical exercise is so weak in recent years. The exercising habit is hard to form and physique conditions decline year by year. Combining practical teaching experience and considering influencing factors of college students, the author carries out an investigation and a statistical analysis on the college students’ participation of physical exercise through methods of documents, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics according to personalities of college students. The result indicates that the lack of fields and facilities, the lack of leisure time, the lack of companions, the lack of sport specialties and the lack of teachers’ guidance and extracurricular sports competitions are major factors influencing physical exercise of college students. So, how to form the habit of college students participating in physical exercise should be reexamined so as to form the consciousness of lifelong physical exercise. A more particular knowledge of college students’ awareness and needs of physical exercise provide references for sports work of colleges and universities, provide theoretical and practical supports for college students participating in physical exercise, and promote college students’ development of qualities from all aspects.
