Effect of solar radiation on the temperature of house walls facing the four cardinal points in the summer in Ouled Sidi Brahim (Algeria) 阿尔及利亚奥勒德西迪卜拉希姆地区夏季太阳辐射对朝向四个基点的房屋墙体温度的影响

The current experimental study conducted in Ouled Sidi Brahim (Algeria) seeks to understand how the direction of the walls affects their temperature in the summer. A small red brick house of 20×20×20 cm3 was used for the test, and throughout the experiment, the temperature was recorded every minute at the center of each wall facing the four cardinal points (East, West, North, and South) for 24 h (day and night). A digital acquisition device based on an Arduino board was realized to record the temperature on different days at the end of June, July, August, and the beginning of September. Only when solar radiation is present during the day can the influence of the walls' orientation be detected. The temperature of the walls remains nearly constant at night and drops from sunset to daybreak. The wall facing east is the hottest in the morning during the summer. The west-facing wall, on the other hand, is the coolest, especially in the morning. In the early summer, the west-facing wall is the hottest in the afternoon. It will, however, be replaced by the south wall at the end of the season. The temperature of building walls is significantly affected by the sun's daily and annual trajectory.

Kinetic hydrogenation of the electrode-electrolyte interface for LaY2Ni9 Nickel Metal Hydride accumulators LaY2Ni9镍金属氢化物蓄能器电极-电解质界面氢化动力学研究

Impedance spectrum for the hydrogen adsorption-absorption mechanism of LaY2Ni9 electrode was analyzed through an equivalent circuit based on a well understanding of the various processes happening at the interface electrode/electrolyte. The equivalent circuit model takes into account the charge transfer phenomenon, the transition phase of the atomic hydrogen between adsorbed/absorbed states before its diffusion within the alloy. Kinetic parameters such as the specific exchange current density, I0,EIS, the double layer capacitance, Cdl and the adsorption capacitance, Cad, were determined for the LaY2Ni9 electrode versus cycle number using impedance spectroscopy technique. The results of EIS measurements indicate a correlation between the evolution of these kinetic parameters and those determined by other electrochemical techniques. Another correlation is observed between the exchange current density determined by EIS, I0,EIS, and that determined by cyclic voltammetry, I0,CV which related to the applied perturbation type.

Entropy generation of MHD forced convection nanoliquid in a channel containing three cylinder blocks 包含三个气缸体的通道中MHD强制对流纳米液体的熵生成

The present study is a numerical simulation of nanoliquid (Cu- water) MHD forced convection in a channel containing three cylinder blocks. The simulations were made at 50 ≤Re≤200, 0≤Ha≤50, nanoparticles volume fraction between 0%and 4%. The Brownian motion was considered in calculating the effective nanoliquid thermal conductivity and viscosity. The lattice-Boltzmann method is used to solve the continuity, momentum and energy equations. The effects of Reynolds number and nanoparticles volume fraction on heat transfer and Bejan number were studied. The results demonstrate that average Nusselt number is enhanced by increase of Reynolds number, Hartmann number and addition of nanoparticles. Bejan number decrease with Reynolds number and Hartmann number but it is increase with addition of nanoparticles volume fraction.

Photovoltaic systems Design and Cost Effectiveness Assessment for the telecommunication sites 电信站点的光伏系统设计与成本效益评估

Renewable energy is one of the most promising technologies used to generate electricity, especially for developing countries going through phases of instability in the network. Telecommunication systems should be emphasized because of their impact on development. Consequently, the energy supply plays an important part of any communication system. It is essential to select the power source option that has the low cost and long life. This paper presents a practical design and implementation of an on-grid PV system for the local telecommunication companies in Benghazi, the companies started using solar-powered systems at many of their sites in order to guarantee continuous services. The study starts by classifying the sites according to the load size into four types: 200W, 500W, 700W and 1000W and the PV system components sizing are evaluated for each type. The hybrid system option has been chosen to guarantee continuous power supply to the load. It is concluded that the use of photovoltaic systems at telecommunication sites accomplished not just technological success but also an economical one. This study can be used for research, teaching, as well as for the telecommunication companies as an initial assessment for future grid connected PV systems installation.

Study of the effect of supercritical extraction parameters of Peganum harmala seed oil on Candida albicans 570 槟榔籽油超临界提取工艺对白色念珠菌570的影响研究

The present study was concerned with the evaluation of the effect of supercritical extracts obtained from Peganum harmala seeds, on Candida albicans 570. Furthermore, the total antioxidant activity of the plant extracts was assessed using the 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). The results showed antibacterial as well as maximum inhibitory activities (14.5) in the extracts obtained at 45°C, 200 bar and 0.7 mm for temperature, pressure and particle size, respectively. The study proved that the operating conditions for the supercritical extraction process had an effect on the extraction of active compounds, whereas there was a complete absence or a variable effect on the considered bacteria with the same plant, according to the different adopted operating conditions. Finally the effect of operating parameters like pressure (100-300 bar), temperature (35-55 °C), particle size (0.5-0.9 mm) at a fixed supercritical CO2 flow rate, on the bioactive compounds, was also investigated.

Modeling and Validation of Jordanian Power Grid in DIgSILENT PowerFactory Toward Implementing a Smart Grid Scenario 面向智能电网场景的DIgSILENT PowerFactory约旦电网建模与验证

This study presents the simulation and validation of the Jordanian national grid model using real data to study the potential upgrade of the current grid to a smart grid. The major contributions of this research are summarized in two folds: 1) the Jordan power grid with all 132 kV and 400 kV transmissions lines and substations is modeled in DIGSILENT simulation software for evaluating grid studies, such as load flow (steady state) studies and power quality studies; 2) the grid inertia is evaluated with the current renewable energy installed in the grid at different penetration levels of generated energy and different load demands. The results obtained from the model are compared with real recorded data provided by the grid operator under typical scenarios. The results presented in this study provide interesting information for increasing the model accuracy in simulating large system stability dynamics for the grid operator.

Optimization of extraction of essential oil from local Lavender (lavandula angustifolia) and evaluation of the antioxidant and antifungal activities 当地薰衣草精油提取工艺优化及抗氧化、抗真菌活性评价

The optimization of the extraction of essential oil from Algerian lavender (lavandula angustifolia. L) by hydro distillation and the determination of the antioxidant and anntifungal activities were considered. A parametric study was carried out and based on the response surface methodology with particle size, water/solid ratio and extraction time, as factors. Results from the 2, 2’-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate (ABTS) assay shows that the obtained extracts are some less effective antioxidants than butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) standards. The antifungal activity on solid medium by agar dilution method showed that the obtained essential oil revealed a good antifungal activity against (Fusarium oxysporium).

L) by hydro distillation and the determination of the antioxidant and anntifungal activities were considered. A parametric study was carried out and based on the response surface methodology with particle size, water/solid ratio and extraction time, as factors. Results from the 2, 2’-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate (ABTS) assay shows that the obtained extracts are some less effective antioxidants than butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) standards. Incorporating state of charge estimation methods towards more accurate monitoring of second-life lithium-ion batteries 结合充电状态估计方法,对二次寿命锂离子电池进行更精确的监测

Although several methods are developed for estimating the state of charge of lithium-ion batteries, there is still a challenge regarding monitoring the second life of these batteries due to the expected difference in the behavior and operating conditions in their second life. Considering that each method has its advantages and disadvantages according to the application and operating conditions, and monitoring the batteries in their second life is of special importance because it is required to integrate with the battery management system to balance cells, diagnose faults and prevent overheating. Therefore, the estimation method developed in this study, by incorporating artificial neural network method and Kalman filter method with fine-tuning of the filtering process using Coulomb counting, provides a solution for more accurate online monitoring of these batteries. Aiming to get the best possible performance, considering the specificity of the second life of the batteries in terms of operating voltage, low values of expected capacity, discharge ratio and other operational parameters.

Short-Term Wind Power Forecasting by a Long Short Term Memory Ensemble Approach 基于长短期记忆集合方法的短期风电预测

Wind power plants have attracted increasing attention during the last decades due to their environmental and economic benefits. However, the wind resource is inherently unpredictable, bringing important challenges to the stable and safe operation of the power grid. In this context, various computational and statistical approaches have been reported in the literature to perform short-term forecasting of wind power generation, and more efficient strategies are still demanded. In this paper, a hybrid framework that includes a statistical pre-processing stage with an enhanced deep learning (DL)-based strategy is proposed to address the limitations of reported forecasting methodologies to predict multi-seasonal wind power time series. The integrated approach applies a suitable transformation to obtain a normal distribution of data and removes multiple seasonalities in wind power time series. Subsequently, it supplements a set of stacked Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) models for each month of the year. The proposed approach is validated using real hourly wind power data from the Spanish electricity market for the period 2008-2019. A comparative analysis with a well-established DL-based model shows the superior performance of the proposed forecasting method. The experimental evaluation is conducted for 1-3 hours ahead of wind power predictions. Modelling of a Solar Heating System for Industrial Processes using Linear Fresnel Reflectors 利用线性菲涅耳反射镜对工业过程中的太阳能加热系统进行建模

Thermal energy in industries has a significant share of the total energy consumed by different processes in the industrial sector. In solar energy rich countries, like Libya, this can be significantly provided by solar energy technologies. Dairy factories involve a number of processes requiring heat at different temperatures. Some processes even require steam at high temperatures. Pasteurization, sterilization, cleaning, washing, and evaporation are some of the operations in dairy processing plants. Concentrated solar power plants can provide such high temperatures using a number of technologies, specifically parabolic trough reflectors, linear Fresnel reflectors, parabolic dish, and the central receiver with a heliostat field. Libya is located in the sun belt and is pleasant with high levels of sun radiation. This paper investigates the techno-economic feasibility of a concentrated solar power plant utilizing linear Fresnel reflectors technology to provide heat for the pasteurizing process at a proposed milk processing diary. A production rate of 100,000 liters per day of milk was assumed. All of the parameters involved in the design process, such as the available area, solar energy available at the location, energy demand of the process, inlet and outlet temperatures, energy storage requirement, and cost per unit of electricity, were fed to the Ressspi platform, a solar simulator for industrial processes. Results showed that the system is highly feasible in terms of technical as well as economic aspects. The heat generated by the solar plant was 1260661.4 kWh, while that consumed by the process was 1321636.8 kWh and that represents 95.4% of the energy needed for the process. The solar utilization factor is 77.1% as a result of energy lost due to defocusing of the Fresnel reflectors. The payback period of the project was found to be 5 years with an internal rate of return of 23.88% and a levelized cost of energy of 0.03228 €/kWh.
