A further study of the electrolytic reduction of chromic chloride has been made with a view to utilizing both anodic and cathodic products in the preparation of ethylene chlorohydrin from acetylene. Cells and process have been described. Factors affecting current efficiency at the cells and conversion in the reactor have been discussed.

Development of Photoflash Dry Cells 闪光灯干电池的研究进展

This paper describes the development of a LeClanche dry cell of special construction, capable of delivering 33 1/3% greater short‐circuit amperage than is obtained with conventional units. This cell employs a thin paste partition layer and a depolarizing mix of artificial manganese dioxide combined with a high proportion of conductive material, largely acetylene black. The method of fabricating the cell is described and comparative test data are given.
