Impact of Considering Surger Arresters to Reduce Lightning Induced Voltage: emphasis on the Grounding Modeling 考虑避雷器对降低雷击电压的影响:接地建模的重点

Lightning-related phenomena are one of the most dangerous factors affecting the overhead distribution systems. Said that, protective measures to reduce lightning damages are an important issue to guarantee distribution line reliability. The most widely employed protective measures against lightning are: shield wires, surge arresters, and increasing the line insulation level, usually by increasing the length of insulator strings. Among the aforementioned techniques, one that deserves a special attention is installing lightning arresters, since it can be very effective and commonly used in reducing lightning overvoltage. In this way, this paper presents a comparative study of the induced overvoltage calculation along insulator strings due to indirect lightning strikes in the distribution lines with and without the installation of surger arresters and comparing results considering a simple and rigorous modeling of the pole-footing grounding system. Furthermore, a simplified representation of the model of the pole-footing grounding system, in which the surge arresters will be installed, commonly adopted may lead to an underestimation of the overvoltage. The results point that the surge arresters are able to isolate the propagation of the induced voltages in adjacent poles by positioning them at poles in alternate pattern. The maximum voltage difference found when considering the rigorous model instead of the simplified model of the pole-footing grounding system, for the cases studied, was around 6.42%.

An Adaptive Protection Scheme for Radial Distribution Networks under Topology Changes 拓扑变化下径向配电网的自适应保护方案

In this paper, an Adaptive Protection (AP) scheme for networks with topological changes is proposed. In the methodology, a hybrid optimization based on Differential Evolution - Particle Swarm Optimization (DEPSO) was used to determine two Overcurrent Relay (OCR) settings: the Pickup Current (PC) and the Time Multiple Setting (TMS). This feature allows the relays to be better coordinated according to the current conditions of the Distribution System (DS), compared to other methodologies that only adjust the TMS. Tests with five different topologies were performed on a DS using Open Distribution System Simulator (OpenDSS) software.

Proposed Security Measures for Code Injection for CubeSats 立方体卫星代码注入的安全措施建议

Sometimes we have the need to inject new services in an operational satellite, but as the injection of new codes in equipment that has communication link is a critical process due to the possibility of injection of broke or malicious codes, this document proposes a protocol for the safe injection of code in satellite microcontrollers of the CubeSat’ type. This protocol is based on the use of HMAC with SHA-3 to guarantee integrity and authenticity and is enhanced by the same security measures to mitigate communication link problems and satellite attacks, such as the guarantee of delivery and displacement between communication windows and periods of high processing.

Evaluation of transfer learning approaches for partial discharge classification in hydrogenerators 水轮发电机局部流量分类的迁移学习方法评价

Severe deterioration in the insulation system can interrupt the operation of high voltage electrical machines. Concerning hydrogenerators, unexpected interruptions result in important losses to both energy companies and consumers. Recent proposals for automatic partial discharge analysis, an effective approach to prevent failure in high voltage equipment, are mainly based on deep learning. Their performance, however, relies upon the availability of huge, and commonly expensive, datasets. Besides, if models are intended to be trained from scratch, significant computational resources are required. This work compares three fine-tuning strategies applied to a pre-trained convolutional neural network for partial discharge classification. We use phase-resolved partial discharge data, obtained during normal operation of hydrogenerators at Tucuruí (Pará, Brazil) power plant, to re-train the last layer of a deep classifier originally conceived to identify partial discharges in a different context. Our results demonstrate that effective transfer learning is achieved by using cross-validation and data augmentation techniques.

Tensor-Based Channel Estimation for RIS-Assisted Communications with Non-Ideal Phase Shift Responses 基于张量的非理想相移响应的ris辅助通信信道估计

Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) is a candidate technology for future wireless networks. It is known that the promised gains of RIS-assisted communications depend on the channel estimation performance. When the RIS is affected by imperfections, the associated phase shift responses present a non-ideal behavior, which translates into unknown, and possibly time-varying, phase deviations. Such perturbations can be caused by physical, electronic, or environmentalrelated conditions. In this scenario, traditional channel estimation schemes may fail to provide sufficiently accurate channel estimates. In this work, considering a time-varying RIS imperfection model, we propose an efficient and low-complexity tensor-based method to estimate the involved communication channels under unknown phase-shift responses. The proposed algorithm relies on a tensor modeling of the received signals and has a closed-form solution based on the higher order singular value decomposition. Simulation results show the effectiveness of our proposed solution in terms of estimation accuracy and computational complexity compared to the benchmark method.

Non-invasive monitoring system for analysis of energy efficiency of three-phase induction motors 用于三相感应电动机能效分析的无创监测系统

In the Three-Phase Induction Motor (3-phase IM), as in any electromechanical energy converter, the electrical input power (required from the power supply) is equal to the mechanical output power delivered to the load plus the losses inherent to the process. Even though they are intrinsically efficient devices, 3-phase IM constitute a great potential for energy conservation when energy efficiency actions are carried out in an industry. This article presents an accessible monitoring system for the various industrial segments, justifying the development of a monitoring system using low-cost, non-invasive, cloud, robust technologies that allow a simple and remote visualization of the percentage loading, which is an indicator of the efficiency of electrical machines. In this way, the characteristics of this system make it possible to use it on a large scale, that is, in the large number of motors installed in the industry, enabling the diagnosis of possible applications that require adjustments to the actuators. With the experimental results, the functionality of the developed monitoring system was verified with a percentage error of up to ±10% between percentage of the nominal loading from 82% to 110%.

In this work we propose a new algorithm that decreases the error rate of the key distribution protocol that uses a pulsar as source of randomness. In the core of the proposed algorithm is the relative disentropy working as a measure of distance between probability distributions. The algorithm is described and simulations are performed.

This RA was designed to operate in the Ku-band, which makes it suitable for the emerging Low-Eath-Orbit (LEO) satellite applications. The proposed topology for the unit cell is based on a square patch driven by two parallel PIN diodes. Initial studies have shown that this new configuration has lower insertion loss and higher antenna efficiency if compared with previous works. The compact design is achieved by using a compact control circuit based on i2c protocol, which minimizes the number of both control lines and Integrated Circuits (ICs). In order to optimize the sidelobe levels, two algorithms were investigated namely, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and convex optimization (CVO), which were implemented in order to generate an optimum phase distribution and the results obtained showed that both algorithms were capable of reducing side lobes level. PSO achieved 6.2 dB reduction, for a 30° steered pencil-beam.

Proposal of an Inverter-based DER Model on OpenDSS Under IEEE 1547–2018 Regulation 基于ieee1547 - 2018的OpenDSS逆变器DER模型的提出

Renewable sources have gained great importance in the search for energy production, because of their possibility of expansion and being increasingly accessible. Therefore, this paper aims to present two models of distributed energy resources (DERs), working during normal and abnormal voltage conditions, following the guidelines presented by IEEE Std 1547–2018 running on OpenDSS simulation software. Computer simulations were conducted using IEEE 13-Node Radial Test Feeder for both applications. The results show that all five operating modes proposed by the standard within the continuous operation region work as provided for by the standard. Moreover, for an Under-voltage (UV) scenario where a three line-to-ground fault (3LG) was applied, the model was able to contribute with current control supporting the network. Finally, for an UV scenario, it was seen that the DER impacts the network differently depending on its position, whether increasing substation current or increasing the current through the fault node.

Impacts of Advances in Standards for Inverter-Based Resources Controls on Distance Protection 基于逆变器的资源控制标准进展对距离保护的影响

This paper conducts a case study on the impacts of Inverter-Based Resources (IBR), specifically Full-Converter Wind Generators (FCWG), on self-polarized quadrilateral distance protection. In the context of standards and grid codes, the paper highlights the importance of recent advances in standardizations (IEEE 2800–2022) for IBR controls since potential improvements in the performance of distance protection have been noted. Several contingency scenarios are simulated in a system with a typical IBR interconnection topology with the transmission system. By assessing the impedance trajectories in the complex plane, such as those usually considered by commercial relays, it is possible to prove and explain the improvements resulting from the new standardizations to the distance protection function.
