Exposure of the general public to low-level RF fields causes direct or indirect coupling of the fields in the human body. Due to this coupling, there is an induction of the fields inside the body tissue that causes currents in the tissue while the tissue absorbs RF power. In this work, the RF absorption by a biological tissue was measured by using an antenna trainer in a laboratory set up by varying distances and angles of RF radiation source. Using the detector current, the absorbed power by the tissue as well as the incident component of Electric field upon the receiving antenna was calculated with and without the tissue. From calculating rms value of the field, the voltage inside the tissue was estimated. Using the absorbed power and voltage inside the tissue, the impedance inside the tissue was calculated. Results indicated that the more impedance values inside the tissue incur more absorption of RF power. The more dominant effects for angles than the distances were obtained for absorbed power by the tissue.

In this paper, we present an intelligent system where agents can co-ordinate creative tasks through machine learning and cooperation. For machine learning, we used commonly used pattern recognition algorithm - Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Based on recognition, we plan a task that is performed by multiple intelligent agents. In our case, task is to draw a pattern or perform a creative art by agents. The task action is divided into three phases: obtaining a design, composing a mathematical model and and performing the task by agents. In case of agents co-ordination, various feedback techniques using wireless sensors and on-board sensors are used. As for proof of concept (POC), a flower pattern is detected, which is painted on a canvas by using mobile robots. Also, person's identity and mood is detected and then a creative art is performed by mobile robots to improve the mood.

Early and efficient fault diagnosis of bearing of industrial motor is a modern demand for reducing unexpected breakdown of industrial process. Extracting the intrinsic fault signature in very early stage is important. In this point of view, this paper proposes a fault diagnosis model of industrial bearing including efficient fault signature extraction technique based on narrow band frequency domain analysis of acoustic emission (AE) signal using envelope power spectrum. To do that, AE signals are collected from defective and non-defective bearings under different rotational speeds from industrial-like experimental environment. Envelope power spectrum is calculated from the AE signal and narrow band root mean square (NBRMS) fault features are extracted from defect frequency ranges of the envelope power spectrum. Finally, the k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) classification algorithm is used for identifying the fault of unknown signal and validating the efficiency of the proposed feature extraction model. The experimental result shows that the proposed model outperforms state-of-art algorithms in terms of classification accuracy.

The cloud computing offers high scalability, confidentiality and the easy accessibility of the information over the Internet. Though the conventional encryption system provides security, the most concerned issue is the regular side channel attack for capturing ones sensitive and confidential image, audio and video. A malicious Virtual Machine (VM) besides a targeted VM can extract all information. Thus, this paper implements a double stage encryption algorithm for multimedia content security using random key generation approach. The first stage encrypted multimedia content into ciphertext-1 using a symmetric public key. The ciphertext-1 is again encrypted in the cloud using a randomly generated asymmetric private key. If anyone gets the cipher text, he could not extract the encryption key to recover the multimedia contents. Low complexity and easy implementation make the proposed algorithm widely applicable safeguard in the cloud computing.

Method placement is one of the most important design activities in any object oriented application. Recommendation of move method refactorings plays a significant role through grouping similar behavior of methods. It is also used as a refactoring technique of feature envy code smell by placing methods into correct classes from the incorrect ones. Due to this code smell, an application will be tightly coupled and loosely cohesive which reflect poor design and hence development and maintenance effort, time and cost will be increased. Existing techniques mostly used only non-static methods for refactoring the code smell and so these approaches are not generalized for all types of methods (static and non-static). This paper proposes a novel approach for recommending move method refactorings to remove the code smell for both types of methods based on coupling, cohesion and context. The results of a preliminary empirical evaluation indicate that the proposed approach provides better results than JDeodorant (a popular eclipse plugin for refactorings).

This paper presents the development process of the SUST-Bangla Handwritten Numeral Database (SUST-BHND). We extracted handwritten Bengali digits from twenty-one hundred pre-designed form filled by different people. After data retrieval, cleaning, processing and error analysis we have created a database consisting of 101065 sample images. It provides a basic database for Bangla OCR and script identification research field. Finally, a deep convolutional neural network was trained by the database which led to an accuracy of around 99.4%.

A system for monitoring patients for the cold sweat symptom and giving instant signal if they break into sweat has been proposed in this work. A method was devised to create such a system for indicating profuse perspiration by continuous monitoring of Galvanic Skin Resistance. For this purpose a circuit was designed, an algorithm was created and certain steps were followed towards achieving the goal of detecting profuse perspiration. Finally, a system was created that would immediately notify if a person's skin gets moist. Special attention had been given to create the system with easily available components for use in technologically unadvanced nations.

Gait is an important physiological biometric in the area of computer vision for human authentication at a distance. In appearance-based gait recognition system, significant gait features could be affected by various cofactors such as cloths or carrying objects. Therefore, detecting co-factored segments and eliminating co-factored information without losing the features of Gait Energy Image (GEI) is one of the major concerns for appropriate gait recognition. In this paper, we proposed a method for detecting cofactor affected segments of GEI and an approach for dynamic reconstruction of co-factored GEI for more accurate gait recognition. The whole GEI is first segmented into three parts considering the area of cofactor appearance in it. Moreover, co-factored information are detected and eliminated depending on some predefined threshold values. Finally, the three segments are recombined for final classification. The CASIA gait database is used here as a training and a test data. The result shows better performance with 85.04% accuracy which is more convenient than other conventional gait recognition methods.

News articles in web narrate important events happening worldwide. These articles are not only written in English, but also in different languages for different native people. In this paper, we propose an approach for an automated Bengali-English semantic recommender system based on ontology by analyzing news domain. News ontology is designed automatically by using information extraction techniques. Both the news title and news body are considered separately in the ontology creation process. First, important information from news is extracted and ontology is created from the source language document. Then, ontology is created from target language document following similar technique. Next, ontology matching is performed between the translated source ontology and target English Ontology. Matching can also be done with synonymous documents. A matching factor is calculated which can be taken as the semantic similarity measure between the cross-lingual documents. Recommendation of news items is done based on this matching factor. The experiment study verifies the proposed method adopted by us.

The paper represents a smart gadget to avert the calamitous effects of pest bugs in the farming land as well as in household commodities. In this paper, development and performance analysis of smart ultrasonic insects repellent device has been demonstrated. This device is able to generate different types of frequencies which are very helpful to repel different types of insects. It can be controlled from any distance with DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) technology. Besides, manual control with night mode via LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) has also been employed. The device would be charged through solar energy system which is a cost effective approach. A power amplifier along with a microcontroller known as Arduino Uno as well as solar charger circuit regulator and solar panel are used. The implementation of this device in farmland has shown a great reduction of bugs attack compared to the other land which doesn't have one.
