Remote determination of mechanical parameters of thin tunnel elastic inclusions 隧道弹性包裹体力学参数的远程测定

The inverse problem on the remote determination of the physical-mechanical parameters of thin plane tunnel elastic inclusions with variable thickness is considered. It is assumed that the mechanical properties of non-homogeneity and matrix differ insignificantly in comparison with the relative thickness of non-homogeneity. Elastic longitudinal waves are used as sounding waves, and the unknown parameters are defined according to the scattering amplitudes of these waves in the Fraunhofer zone.

Simulation and optimization of waveguide junctions with artificial discontinuities including conducting strips and dielectric layer 含导电带和介电层的人工不连续波导结的仿真与优化

A rigorous electromagnetic theory is suggested to analyze multiport waveguide junctions with artificial discontinuities formed from an inductive strip and dielectric layer. The characteristics of these junctions in a broad parameter range are presented, and optimisation of their matching properties is performed.

Beam scanning characteristics of microstrip triangular array antenna on normally biased NiAl ferrite 常压NiAl铁氧体微带三角形阵列天线的波束扫描特性

A conventional 4×4 planar microstrip equilateral triangular array antenna (METAA) is designed on a NiAl biased ferrite substrate in the C-band (5 GHz) region. The antenna shows tunability in resonant frequency, bandwidth, and efficiency and radiation conductance on application of an external magnetic field normal to the plane of the array geometry. The radar cross-section (RCS) characteristics, especially the resonance behavior of the array with various bias conditions, are studied and compared to the case of an unbiased ferrite. It is investigated that the RCS can be moved with respect to frequency by changing the magnetic bias field. It is also found that magnetic losses affect the RCS at resonance significantly.

Contactless photonic crystal microcircuit based method for dielectric body remote exploration 基于非接触式光子晶体微电路的介质体远程探测方法

The problem of contactless research of a dielectric object using a broadband (millimetric, submillimetric, infra-red or optical) signal is considered. A photonic crystal (PC) proves to be efficient as the core element of an integral microcircuit for optical control in optical contactless measurement systems. Based on a software package developed at LAE, the numerical model of a compact PC-based microcircuit has been developed. The basic circuit of the device, functional units, and model of a microchip are presented.

Scattering of E-polarized electromagnetic wave by dielectric-coated axially slotted cylinder 电介质涂层轴向开槽圆柱对e极化电磁波的散射

The rigorous solution of the problem is presented. The boundary-value method is employed using the property of completeness of angular functions on the respective intervals. The scattered far-field (SFF) and back radar cross section (BRCS) of the structure are evaluated asymptotically. The scattered field characteristics in the case of an E-polarized plane wave are analyzed numerically with controlled accuracy. It is shown that a resonant increase of BRCS is observed when the cylinder is filled with dielectric.

Strong formulation of open-space initial boundary-value problems in the form of closed ones for compact waveguide transformers 紧凑型波导变压器开空间初边值问题的封闭形式的强公式

The outcome of a search for efficient and correct ways for the truncation of the computational domain in direct numerical methods that are used for the electrodynamic analysis of complex waveguide junctions is presented. The relevant mathematical problem is resolved rigorously, both for two-dimensional scalar model problems and for three-dimensional vector problems. We describe briefly only one typical three-dimensional situation. The peculiarities associated with a change to the analysis of other similar three- and two-dimensional vector and scalar problems are also covered.

Electron beam alternating rotation in periodic permanent magnet focusing field has an effect on parasitic backward-wave oscillation in helix traveling wave tube 电子束在周期性永磁体聚焦场中交变旋转对螺旋行波管寄生后波振荡有影响

We have verified experimentally the theoretical predictions of our previous work (Belyavskiy, E.D. et al., IEEE Trans. Electron Devices, vol.48, no.8, p.1727-36, 2001) about the effect of electron beam alternating rotation on the parasitic backward-wave oscillation in the amplifier-type helix traveling-wave tube (TWT) under periodic permanent magnetic (PPM) focusing. We measured the backward-wave start-oscillation current as a function of the interaction length in a specially designed helix backward wave oscillator. The observed behavior is much closer to the predictions of our theory, than to theories that ignore the electron beam rotation. Our results can be used for improving the stability of the PPM-focused helix TWT with respect to parasitic backward-wave oscillation.

Comparative study of high frequency techniques in radar cross-section (RCS) estimation 雷达截面(RCS)估计高频技术的比较研究

The paper studies and analyzes scattering by some of the shapes that are most used to model targets. From simple shapes, like cylinder and cone, to the conically capped cylinder, different techniques are used to analyze the scattering phenomena. Results obtained are compared over a wide range of frequencies and aspect angles. These techniques include geometrical theory of diffraction, individual scattering center method, and caustic correction method. Results are found to be in good agreement for most aspect angles. One can conclude that the RCS values obtained by the caustic correction and individual scattering center methods are closer as compared to GTD.

Modeling of electrostatic fields in environments with different characteristics leads to the necessity of solving jump boundary value problems for the Laplacian in R/sup 3/. The normal derivative jump problem in Hilbert space, the normal derivative elements of which have the jump through the boundary surface, has been considered (Nedelec, J.C. and Planchard, J., 1973). The solution of this problem was searched as a simple layer potential. We consider the searched function jump problem in Hilbert space, elements of which have the jump through the boundary surface. The conditions for a well-posed solution of the formulated problem are determinated. We suggest looking for the solution of this problem as the double layer potential. We define the conditions for the well-posed solution of the latter.

Focusing and controllable microstrip electrodynamic structures 聚焦可控微带电动力结构

Microwave reflective type antenna arrays and their possible applications are considered. The reflectarrays are shown to be most promising for smart cover design in the microwave band. Some numerical results are presented, which show the possibility of applying microstrip reflectarrays as smart covers for microwave modules.
